except you have to play a crippled deck to actually be able to play them. What's the point of having access to a juiced up dynomatic on turn 6 when you can only play half of your other good cards. Not to mention the lack of efficient card draw in 3 of these classes (with Druid being the one having the most reliable, but not actually wanting it because playing Elise is a waste when you hold more than 5 cards)

    all of these are garbage.

People already forgot how difficult it is to make Highlander decks work consistently in classes with limited card draw. Reno doesn't do anything, Brann is a worse Jan'alai in a deck that can't even play for tempo, Elise is a useless value generator in a class that is unable to regain control of the board if your opponent just happens to get a big mminion down, and Finley is the only decent effect, but is rendered completely useless by the fact that you can't build around randomness so you're piloting half a deck to get a mediocre benefit (which will end up as a Keleseth situation most of the time anyways)

oh yeah, great, because random upgraded hero powers are something you can build your deck around

What kind of deck would you even use with this? It does nothing to further your gameplan and you can't rely on hero power synergies so you're basically playing a bad deck for a slightly better HP

what a sad joke. Oh yeah, let's give Druid a slow duplicator for a highlander archetype, because the class really is known being able to play slow, value based strategies with limited ressources

Is this the class identity of Druid now? Being given cards they absolutely can't build decks around?

    so a worse Jan'alai.

Reno decks can't play for tempo like Odd Mage could. Even the body is weaker.

Where do you go with this? Seriously, what does a turn 7 KK accomplish?

Just play any of the other currently available Hunter decks and kill your opponents instead of playing around with overpriced toys

oh yeah, he has a magic gatling gun...that does an AMAZING ...10 points of damage.

I don't think this could have been worse.

Why be so conservative? Just pump it to a whopping 20 and you have something worth building around.

Is this your idea of class identity you hacks?

When you thought Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk was a bit too much... sbem 7 mana big daddy King Krush!

    literally worse than Jan'alai

I really don't get Reno. Isn't Boardclear supposed to be a strength for mage? Then why not make him deal 15 or 20 damage. It's minions-only anyways so what's the harm in giving that to Mage? Highlander Mage won't work in Standard anyways unless they literally reprint old Reno, so why even be this conservative

Highlander Hunter seems somewhat plausible considering the amount of Ressource generation (and ZUl'jin) we have at this point. At the same time I don't see the point of playing that kind of deck in the first place. If the endgame is just killing your opponent then every other Hunter deck already does the job. It's basically a bad Jan'alai in an even worse archetype

Wow...it's like old Reno....except not nearly worth building your deck around...

It's because Magnetic pushes degenerate strategies so hard. Either you go full aggro, or you go full highroll (like Mech Paladin)

it didn't help either  that they printed SnipSnap for no reason

They slapped the Magnetic tag onto way too many minions with no regard for abuse cases

    Someone played Donkey Kong 64.

Also, while end of turn effects are usually good, it strikes me as odd to slap it onto a taunt minion, since those are usually the first to die.

I could see it in some Taunt/Rush hybrid deck with Oondasta, War Bears and Witchwood Grizzly. It also hits Zilliax, which is always welcome. Maybe there's even some mech-taunt shenanigans to be had.

If only this was a Druid card

this would have been nuts...like 2 years ago when Cubelock was running amok.

I mean, I guess it's a decent counter to the Giant Spam in Mage, but still, this is mainly a control card...maybe Token Shaman will run it to turn a weak board into a sligthly better one while devolving the opponents

I mean...it's pretty alright if you go first, but pretty weak against Rogue, Mage and Druid

    2-mana 3/1 is a great statline.

Also, since everyone's horny about Mountain Giants these days, maybe there's an angle to be found here

I basically see it as a more effective Acolyte of Pain.

Notably also worth running in Holy Wrath Pally if built around

as with Gloop, just generally pretty good removal for Druid, seeing how Wardruid Loti isn't exactly reliable

I do wonder how it works in practice. If they targetted minion dies after, say, 2 bees, do the rest run in for overkill or remains as tokens?

Also this makes me hope for an Addled Grizzly reprint of some sort.

Generally speaking, Shadowbolt in Druid is pretty neat, just wished it scaled with Spell damage

Fits nicely into the Token-Shudderwock deck they're trying to push. Basically a gimmicky SI:7 for Shaman. +1 damage but you're basically required to play it at turn 4 (unless luck is on your side and a lackey from Sludge Slurper sticks for a turn)

If Lackey Shaman works then it'll see play.

I don't get why people are so skeptical.

It's quite simple. It's a fun addition to a spellheavy mage. You're going to finish it sooner or later and it just gives you more value in the long run. No actual competitive list is going to run it obviously (unless the meta is focussed entirely on who generates more ressources), but it certainly won't hurt to throw into cyclone mage. It's not like the deck has a turn 1 play and the -1 card just happens to be a slight downside.

I thought people liked Casino Mage?

"Changing Barnes might hurt Big Priest"

    THAT'S THE POINT YOU MUPPETS

what the actual fuck happened between this year and last? they were on such a good track. More balance changes, less power creep, better content.

Now we have this "class identity" horseshit which basically just means more recycling and less inovation, all legendaries revealed so far have reused effects, aand we get pointless card art changes which they blatantly lie about.

Well, I was thinking of quitting anyways, guess they're just making it easier for me.
