Vanndar Stormpike is more interesting for the decks I like to play, but his deck building restriction is more difficult and the pay-off is delayed: you need to draw the discounted cards first and even though you pay less to summon them, you do need additional mana or an additional turn to actually put them on the board.
Drek'Thar on the other hand gives you stats on board immediately. The current aggro decks do play minions over 3 mana, but in for example Zoo Warlock or Quest Hunter they are replaceable. I can also imagine that a new small minions + burn deck is feasible in for example Shaman, Rogue or Mage.
Maybe Drek'Thar could also be used to tutor out specific minions in a mostly spells deck. I'm thinking of aura buff cards like Sorcerer's Apprentice or deathrattles, but I don't know if there are any in Standard that are relevant. There is always Bloodmage Thalnos of course.
I'm sure both will see play, but I'd be surprised if Drek'Thar doesn't end up in a top meta deck, while I'm less sure Vanndar will stick around. That said, they go into very different decks, so they don't compete for inclusion directly.
Wildheart Guff is a Shield Block and Wild Growth in one on the turn you play him, so that seems good value for 5 mana. After that, drawing cards for 2 mana is just good. It's hard to predict how useful it is to ramp beyond 10 mana, but even if that rarely matters, I think it's still a good card. If there is any space in the meta for Ramp Druid, this hero card will be in it.
Edit: The card text doesn't say it's an empty mana crystal, so if the wording is consistent (a daring assumption in Hearthstone, I know) that would mean it's a filled crystal and it would be better than Wild Growth.
I really wonder how much of a mess their backend must be to even make a bug like this possible. It's not even a case of the mechanics being broken: the card lost its card text as well.
While the lack of card text is an advantage in your combo, most of the time it's a negative: Tyrantus is now generally worse than Living Monument or comparable to Ultrasaur when you care about the Beast tag. If they don't fix this, they should at least offer a full dust refund because it's effectively been nerfed.
That's a good question. I think for me the frustrating part is that it offers you a choice each turn, then proceeds to make unpredictable plays that ignore any opportunities you had in mind with that choice. Maybe it would have been enjoyable if I saw this on a stream, but trying and failing to control the game was not a fun experience for me.
Come on, there is no need for that. I think this was probably the most frustrating brawl I ever played, but in the end it's our own decision to stick with it until you get your pack or just not play it.
Calling this play a comedy of errors would be generous. The directors tried in vain to get these actors to act out anything with a vague resemblance to a plot.
Rexxar finally gave me my pack by smorcing after the +5/+5 buffs landed on a Wolpertinger and Trampling Rhino.
When my Anduin healed the opponent, the opponent was already at full health, so I thought it was a nice touch of realism. But judging from these reactions he also does it when the opponent is not at full health?
There was some kind of network problem and when the stream died YouTube's player decided to automatically switch to a VoD of a different tournament instead of waiting for the stream to come back.
I think they must have realized long ago that their streams did much better on Twitch, but Google paid to have HS esports as a YouTube exclusive and that contract likely hasn't run out yet.
Budget park is frightening in the dark All the squirrels are coming back to life Someone wound Guff into a rage I admit it's kinda scary And not to mention hairy When eight attack is heading towards my face Oh no!
Retiring if you don't find a Mysterious Stranger on the Heroic Air Totem map seems to be worth it though: you can retry the map quicker and the fact you'll get coins for random mercs instead of a fixed set is an advantage too.
I like it so far! I haven't opened a lot of packs so my collection is nothing to brag about, but I'm enjoying it anyway.
One question, how many legendary daily quests were we supposed to get? I think I only got 2 quests for a few packs, I thought it would be more.
I think there were only two legendary quests, but there are more packs to be had in the PvE storyline.
Packs aren't a very efficient way to grow your collection though, Hearthstone Mathematics did a video on it. You can get the most rewards doing the tasks from the task board.
You can get one more task each day by buying an extra task slot with gold and you can get tasks by meeting Mysterious Strangers at the mystery locations on the maps. Heroic Air Totem is the easiest mission to farm those.
I agree that a lot of quality-of-life improvements are desired or even needed in some cases, like showing alliance/horde and merc tribes when picking artifacts, which task number you've completed for each merc, listing merc abilities in PvP.
Something I appreciate is being able to find new tasks via Mysterious Strangers while doing PvE runs. With ladder, it feels very unrewarding to play longer stretches on a single day because the reward track progression is minimal and the rank bonus doesn't come until the end of the month, so I wish they'd introduce something similar there.
I think that redesign looks better than the all-golden borders, but what I'd really like is an option to have the animated card art in a regular border.

How far we're willing to go for a pack?
Honestly though, I think the idea is kinda cute, but it needs much better AI to actually be enjoyable.

Not quite Magikarp level, but if you have no way to create fire combos, Baron Geddon is pretty bad.
Even if they were cheaper, I'm not sure I'd want to buy coins, since what that effectively does is shorten the time before I run out of PvE rewards.
It offered me Garrosh instead of Diablo and I don't have either in my collection, so it might be random after all.

Galvadon! The last kaleidosaur.
He's not that bad if you can summon four.

Almost extinct, let's clone some more.

They are active now. At the top of the chat window you can find your progress.
Usually if no time zone is mentioned, it's Pacific (PST/PDT), since that's where Blizzard is located.
