Yet another amazing card for dhunter, but this one takes the cake with how much stats are being rolled right into one minion. With 9 attack, it will just about kill anything, with a high enough health pool to maybe survive the trade. Even if it doesn't, another even monstrous minion appears but with taunt, so to ensure that the little minions trade unfavorably into it.
The only reason not to play 2x of this card into all dhunter decks is because there's vastly more broken cards in that class that this looks relatively normal. Its 'slow' for dhunters, but lets be honest, if this was neutral I'd be questioning myself over whether I can fit at least 1 of this bad boys into all my decks midrange and above.
I don't have anything bad to say about this card. Super solid!
This is one of the best card to get from evolve effects. Such a tempo swing.
Literally every single Demon Hunter card is insanely overpowered. Wtf Blizzard.
In terms of raw value, Coilfang Warlord is amazing. But it only really works as this big tempo swing defensive tool if you can make it to turn 8 and if your opponent has something with 5+ attack to hit immediately. Otherwise you're still dead (either because you didn't last long enough to stabilize with this, or because you couldn't get this killed to have it turn into a big taunt).
Seems like a very powerful card for a slower Demon Hunter deck so long as there's a fairly powerful midrange deck in the metagame that you can abuse with this effect.
This seems very strong :o
So here's a legendary minion (Cairne Bloodhoof) with 4/5 body and 4/5 deathrattle, that have no other keywords? And here is now rare minion with 9/5 body with rush and 5/9 taunt deathrattle? And all these only two mana more? This is sick! I want to vomit on this powerlevel change. I know this is a bad comparison, but... :D
Player 1: summons coilfang warlord to kill a big dude.
Player 2: summons coilfang warlord and gets rid of the warlord
Player 1: summons coilfang warlord and gets rid of the warlord
Player 2: summons coilfang warlord and gets rid of the warlord.
Player 1: "Oh no, I'm out of coilfang warlords". Concedes
Rip arena.
I dont like the art. What exactly can you see in the picture?
good question. if only u could click on it and see the picture in full screen,
card games lik LoR and fucking Mythgard have that option. why not the market leader too?
Look up naga lords in WoW. The large shell-like thing at the bottom is its fist. Once you work out what is going on the art is actually quite good.
Its fist? I see it now, but yeesh, I thought that was some sea serpent's spiny thorax.
Seems good but I feel like it's play will depend on the meta and on what DH decks are good. I feel like a more aggro deck would be better than the larger big dude DH.
8 mana 14/14 in stats, which makes it 2 times 4 mana 7/7.
I see what you did there, Blizzard
Reminds me of Ancient of War: slightly smaller stats in exchange for Rush... and getting both forms... for one more mana.
That's kind of crazy, gotta be honest. Though, if you drop it against a board full of smaller smorcing minions, it'll be harder to stabilize, since you won't be able to trade it successfully. Great if you are ahead, terrible if you are behind--unless your opponent has large minions.
It'll depend on the meta.
This card is BUSTED! You dont even have to trade, you can just force your opponent to get rid of it or they take 9 damage to face.
Blizzard making sure that DH will be at least tier 2 with such cards. I'm kinda hyped for the DH but also a bit scared..
Yeah, it's interesting judging DH cards. Their consistently high power level makes them look so scary compared to the usual mix the other classes get, but of course it is needed just to make up the numbers.
I hope it eases off in the next 2 expansions a bit, or at the start of next year we'll have DHs utterly dominating standard.
I think Silence will be so popular in this expansion. :D
