If you were wondering which Demon Hunter cards are out there that you haven't seen a whole lot of, no problem, we've got you covered!
Thanks to some data from HSReplay, we can see which Demon Hunter cards just haven't really gotten their chance to shine. Maybe they'll be better supported through the next expansion we're getting in August, or maybe we'll get lucky and further nerfs to the class will force them to see play. We don't know if we're going to get more Demon Hunter nerfs, but there will be an upcoming nerf patch before the next set.
Onto those cards!
The Least Popular Demon Hunter Cards
You likely haven't seen these very much. Shadowhoof Slayer has the highest deck winrate of all the cards and the only one above 50%. Stats can be found further below.

[Hearthstone Card (Feast of Souls) Not Found] was quite popular at the beginning when the two cards summoning Illidari were used. Then meta went in another direction
Same for Nethrandamus
Shadowhoof Slayer's a better card than it appears to be, especially since Twin Slice is no longer 0 mana. If the meta turns to aggro then I expect more of this card.
Ur'zul Horror is just bad. Put this down, it dies to a hp, and it messes up with your outcast cards. Had this been a battlecry it would have been a niche if only as fodder for Altruis the Outcast. But as it stands, in wild [Hearthstone Card (firefly) Not Found] is infinitely better and in standard there's just better 1 drops than this card.
Feast of Souls is just a good card being screwed by better cards. Notably, to use this properly you'd run a token deck, and token dhunters happens to suck a lot. It also competes badly with Skull of Gul'dan and is a conditional card unlike Spectral Sight. But if token ever gets a leg up, then this card will naturally get a second look.
Soul Split is not bad, its just not covering anything at the moment. There's no deathrattle demons worth this card's attention, and most big demons in dhunter are expensive and there's no value in copying them. Had this card been, give the minion deathrattle: resummon this, this card might have seen better usage.
Lastly, Fel Summoner. Don't let the stats fool you, this card's great because it does something no other card in dhunters do, and that's providing board clear insurance against classes like priest, mage and warlock. That it has 8 attack means unlike Possessed Lackey it can't be just ignored on board, and if it pulls out a Pit Commander its just game over against certain classes. If the win rate is low, that's likely because big dhunters aren't very good, and it costs 6 mana. But if big dhunters gets anywhere in the next expansion, this card will certainly be part of its core.
Shadowhoof Slayer is pretty good, it is just that there are so many 1 drops that are better than him, that he isn't worth it...
I agree with this assessment.
I think when the set was released, they were eyeing three archetypes for DH: Aggro/Tempo, Token, and Big.
If token DH becomes a thing in the coming expansions, I see this card seeing more play. With more support, it will improve this card's consistency and viability.
It's almost as if they made a ridiculously over powered class and tried to put in fillers...
If Big Demon DH gets better, then both Fel Summoner and Soul Split will be good cards.
Or a good 3-cost demon.
Maybe Terrorguard Escapee for now.
I have a Big Demons DH deck I've played a bit recently for fun. Fel Summoner and Soul Split can be awesome situationally, but overall the deck sucks. Why? Because it doesn't make use of 2 of the class's biggest strengths: hero power (and accompanying attack synergy) and Outcast (hard to use effectively because of so many expensive cards). I'm happy to share the list if anyone wants to lose a bunch of games but have some wacky fun with Illidan that's not just cramming everything face.
I actually had really good results on launch day with Big Demons, but of course that was before everything had been optimized. But down the road, perhaps by the time Outland has rotated to Wild and more class demons have been released it'll become a more viable archetype.
Other then that, surprised to see that balanced Voidcaller isn't OP... weird! :)
The crazy thing about Demon Hunter is that, aside from Soul Split, those aren't bad cards. They're just not supported enough or in the wrong meta. I lost to a guy that played Fel Summoner. I was playing Regis' dumb 'Literally No Minions' Demon Hunter, and I just had no way to remove it. I couldn't hit it with my face and still tank whatever came out. He just beat me to death with an 8/3.
I wouldn't call Soul Split bad, but it definitely needs more targets to use it on. Right now there aren't really any small demons you'd want to use it on, and the big ones first have to stick for you to take advantage of Soul Split.
You could use Fel Screamer to then drop Priestess and Split in one turn for 9 mana, but unless Screamer is part of your turn 8 play with those two cards waiting in hand and have the mana to play them the next turn you risk holding back other demons and losing tempo for a few turns while you wait for that very specific play.
It's a card that's overly specific and not that rewarding when it's pulled off. That's what makes it bad. Germination doesn't see very much play, and it's Soul Split without restrictions with an upside, in a class that literally loves cheating out big minions.
I remember being heavily afraid of Feast of Souls before the expansion release, but all the other card draw the class had ended up being way better.
Hoping to see these cards come to life in the future.
I've thought Shadowhoof could be ok: 1 mana is hero power with a 2/1 body. I saw it played when DH was super aggro after the first or second nerf. But that was 2 or 3 nerfs ago, and I'm no deckbuilder.
Feast of Souls has potential to be an extremely good card, but the fact is that Demon Hunter has too few tools to be able to exploit it.
Those Illidan aficionados out there will have to give it time and see what the new set will bring us.
Give us more powerful/big Demons and Fel Summoner will find a home...theoretically.
I see a world where Fel Summoner synergyzes with Rocket Augmerchant for the instant proc... but DH will need a helluvalot of support to get there...
Lol, I was just looking at my DH cards yesterday, saw Soul Split and thought "Oh shit, I forgot that card existed!"
