I love how the art changes
This is a good AOE spell, it just gets better as the game progresses.
with Mo'arg artificer in rotation this is a potential 4 mana deal 6 to all enemy minion combo.
And that's if Priest doesn't use any of their spell discounting shenanigans from Darkmoon Faire
I don't know what it is but something about the art on the Rank 3 one reminds me of Xenoblade Chronicles.
That said, strange card, seems weak in a vacuum but we'll probably see some spicy Holy spell-interacting cards, so they'll have to be judged with this. One fringe benefit is that you can run this alongside the new Kazakus as a replacement for Holy Nova.
Here's the flavour text for the card:
I'm assuming Xyrella will be the priest legendary, considering the same is said for Bru'kan and chain lightning

Nice catch! Xyrella might be related to Holy spells as Bru'kan has Nature Spell Damage. Holy spells are unique to Priest and Paladin, they will definitely have some Holy synergy.
Looking forward to the Priest legendary - 3 cost 2/4: your Holy spells have Lifesteal
I don't know, I feel like for turns 1 and 4 you need to kill 2/3 health minions, for turns 5 and 9 there are 4/5 health minions and for later turns is more too so it's like you need more damage anyway for waves you will only kill 1 thing and damage the rest.
I'm not saying this should do more damage but I'm not sure what other tools there is to actually deal the damage you need, like spell power in priest.
The thing is, though, that we should expect some spell school synergy cards, especially in the mini-set (I don't have the source but they said this at some point). That means there will probably either be some form of Holy spell damage or something that benefits from casting Holy spells. Also keep in mind that this is technically an alternate to Holy Nova if you want to run the new Kazakus card.
Slightly an alternativ for Breath of the Infinite.
So basically a one mana less Death and Decay
Death adn decay is always 3dmg though adn does FACE dmg aswell
Ah yes... priest gets board clear back...
Priest doesn't have much of anything right now.
I know... I am not saying they don't need it... Just Blizzard does it every year
I mean every class needs some board clear.
Rogue doesn't have any but usually just has enough value to not need it or they randomly generate and discover it.
Its weak before turn 5, but after that its just a good card. The fact that it doesn't need to be in your hand to upgrade is crucial or otherwise it'll be too slow to be anywhere near good.
After the massacre we seen with priest's core set, any removal option from barrens would be welcome, and I welcome this with open arms.
Condemn (Rank 1) seems like a pretty reasonable card. It doesn't take much support to make a 2 mana, 3 damage AOE valuable, particularly if you're able to make trades on board. Even Rank 2 is not all that bad - Breath of the Infinite saw plenty of play, and that didn't always go off on turn 3. Sometimes you just need a lot of AOE redundancy to beat aggro with Priest, and this is good enough to be just that.
I don't like waiting till turn 5 to play a small aoe but it's a decent replacement for Holy Nova especially if you want to include Kazakus, Golem Shaper in your deck.
This looks weak at first glance. It's basically just Arcane Explosion when you need it the most (the early game) and Priest doesn't have any incentive to run spell damage to improve it. It's just okay at 5 mana (1 less mana for your average 2 damage AoE) and it becomes quite good at 10 mana (2 mana for 3 damage AoE is really flexible) but this is the kind of card that needs to make an impact at very early stages of the game. It doesn't matter how flexible or strong it is at 10 mana if you don't survive to that point. There's always the possibility of synergies appearing around its holy tag and that is something to take into account.
There's always the possibility that priest gets some incentive to run spell damage as well, or Mo'arg for that matter. It's possible that priest is heavy control priest and having 8 clears and supporting stuff is the plan.
I agree with the sentiment though, this is an Arcane explosion in a class that really can't (right now) support synergizing it's abilities.
This is good with Wretched Tutor though and that is a card priest can already support very well, especially later with Apotheosis
