Priest nerfs are always a positive change for the game. The less we see priest, the better.
I don't post too often and, if I do, I think it tends to be a complaint..... That being said, I've been playing HS off and on since Naxx and right now, with all of the cool stuff in the game, I can't help but focus on just how miserable it feels to queue into Priest. At this point, I immediately auto-concede before the intro animations even load.
Wandmaker --> Renew --> (absolutely anything that wins a game or a turn, or a game) --> Raise Dead --> Wandmaker --> Renew --> Southsea Scoundrel (randomly) --> Raise Dead --> Wandmaker --> Renew --> Wave of Apathy, into Against All Odds --> repeat with more totally random stuff until I throw my phone or punch the monitor because "Priest's identity is random FUN!!!!!!111one"
Ditch this $hit till the next rotation
Could they also please nerf Spell Mage again while they're at it?
I'm sick of playing against that old crap now: T1 coin flow, T2 flow...
why no nerf for shaman and hunter?
Shaman is having it's "time in the sun" again after being choked of card draw. (which was the only thing holding them back really)
I'm "ok" with shaman having power for a little bit longer. What I'm NOT "ok" with is Hunter once again never seeing any nerfs. I'm honestly tired of hunter having a Tier 2 deck every single meta. Sure, it's never a tier 1 deck, but it's never tier 4. They NEVER are bottom rung, and honestly it's become a bit tiresome IMO.
(Druid) That 2 treants, +2/+1 spell.
I hate talking about this shit because someone will always play semantics on this godsamn website. But we have been in an aggro meta for too long. I am against control priest having ways to generate hullshit all game too though. But in wild I never faced against gibberling druid a single time up to diamond. It's all rez priests and secret mages for the majority.
I faced one. But he didn't get the opening hand he hoped for.
My predictions for nerfs:
Priest: Sethekk Veilweaver. Cost increase to 3 mana. Also probably gains +1 attack.
Druid: Gibberling. Probably cost increase to 2 mana. Will probably kill the card, but tbh 2 mana Violet Teacher is still good. Maybe it gets +1 attack or health as a buff? meh might make it stronger... debatably.
Neutral: Venomous Scorpid. From a 1/3 poisonous into a 1/2 poisonous. By removing 1 health it makes it harder for Venomous Scorpid to survive trades.. Sure it doesn't fix the generation problem with Venomous Scorpid, but it does make it easier to deal with.
(i kinda hope Raise Dead gets hit, but Venomous Scorpid is creating a lot of problems as well. Raise Dead nerf would also be HUGE in wild, BUT blizz hates wild which is the biggest reason why i think Raise Dead might get skipped AGAIN.)
Honestly i'm happy were getting some balance changes, and i REALLY hate playing against priest.... BUT i REALLY hope they don't nerf priest into the ground because control/managerie priest is the only good control deck in the meta. If control/managerie priest is gone then the meta is only "HEHEHE ME GO FACE, ME SMORC FACE HEHEHE". -_-
Nerfing a neutral Discover minion to address Priest generation (when Priest has class-specific generation cards) is a huge misread... It's either Renew or Palm Reading, with my money on Palm Reading.
I think I'll stop playing until the the ultra performant no brain aggro druid deck will get nerfed.
So, are you taking for granted that the 1/2 druid card nerf is going to solve the problem for sure? I envy your optimism.
If Giberling gets nerfed to 2 mana, spell druid is losing a lot of power

I hope they tone the card generation a little bit down for Priest. Right now it's impossile to run them out of resources or to play aound cards. You've seen two Soul Mirrors? Hold on, there is third one. Generated by the fith Settek, which was generated by the fourth Raise Dead generated by a Renew from the sixth Scorpid...
I'd personally change:
Gibberling: Raise the cost to 2-mana. Yeah, it nukes the card, but oh well.
Raise Dead: Reduce damage to 2. Reduce effect to 1-friendly minion. Yeah, it still might be abusable, but would you rather your opponent get TWO Venomous Scorpid from this card?
Sethekk Veilweaver: Raise attack to 3. Raise cost to 3. This is the card that really goes infinite. Making it cost slightly more along with a nerf to Raise Dead should stop early and mid-game over-generation.
Raise Dead is dual class, and the post only mentioned Druid / Priest. For this same reason, I don't expect to see Lightning Bloom nerfed (even though it drives a lot of Gibberling nonsense) because that would also impact Shaman.
It's true, though, that it is hard to make Warlocks worse in standard right now, so maybe it is Raise Dead (it wont be).
Changing Sethekk Veilweaver to 3 would also impact Rally! in that deck as well
how though? It's not Miracle Priest that's the problem and regular Control Priest doesn't run Rally (and even if it did it would already be polluted by Wandmaker)
I would love to see a change to Discover mechanic - you cannot discover the same card twice in a single game. That means, if you selected a card from discover eff3ct it will not be discoverable again. That would make the decisions more strategical.
