it says if you have enough mana to play it . does that mean your mana is used up or is it just a check if you could have played it?
Well, Wandmaker's back in business I guess
Call of the Grave is definitely meant to be Shadow Priest support. While I get why the card doesn't say "Discover a Priest Deathrattle minion" (Priest only has 3: Reliquary of Souls, Shadowed Spirit and Lightshower Elemental - definitely too consistent and too powerful of a pool), I think it is pretty underwhelming.
Since it's not a Resizing Pouch-kind of effect, you'll receive a lot of the Deathrattle junk that got printed over the time in the form of Neutral cards - the risk is not being able to get the full effect out of Call of the Grave most of the times, since you could end up with three expensive and therefore unplayable options.
Another use I could see for Call of the Grave is to use it to have a change to get some specific Deathrattles in order to complete Seek Guidance, but it is too early for this statement to be taken seriously.
I definitely need more time (and cards) to evaluate Call of the Grave.
Didn't they say they would be reducing the random generarion for priest especially? Well about that... Also it seems like an okay card.
reducing, not removing
One thing is reducing card generation, another thing is completely gutting it to the ground and start playing again with vanilla units like Chillwind Yeti.
Current Priest would never want to play this spell, so we're good.
I really like this effect. Do you play this early for tempo, or save it for the effect? When you do play it, do you pick the cheaper Deathrattle with immediate impact, or the stronger but more expensive one? It's fun branching choices, not just mindless card generation.
This just seems like a 5 star card all around. The fact that if you get this early game, you get a deathrattle minion that could help you and if you do it mid-late game you get a double dose of the deathrattle, is just awesome. Not broken, but definitely amazing
If this card is ever in the meta it will be insane. Even if it isn't good it will be very fun to play.
This card is just insane, even more so considering that you can reduce its cost. While its going to be fairly inconsistent, at its best it will be 1 mana heal for 8, spawn a 5/8, a random 7 drop, or plainly draw a card (either your highest cost or a minion along with +3+3). Hell, it could even just silence the whole board.
Its hard to understand why team5 decided to make this card 1 mana when they know perfectly well that it'll be in wandmaker's pool. So even if this card for some reason doesn't make the cut, you can still easily get it from Wandmaker.
Even if you decide to play it without the value, its still going to add a deathrattle card to your hand. And for 1 mana, which can be reduced to 0 fairly easily, that's already doing work.
So if you play Palm Reading, you have a small chance for a 0 Mana 7/7 Taunt on turn 10, it's like Kun the Forgotten King lol.
The card is not bad by the way and I'm amazed just how Discover effects continue to be powercrepped to a moment where you get to see I Know a Guy but with over 1 Mana worth of free stuff on top of it
Eh...with the current pool of cards I don't think this is good enough to be used if I'm honest. I just don't think its consistent enough given the massive amount of mediocre deathrattle cards.
