Praise Galakrond! Or don't, since its likely on the chopping block along with other overperforming Shaman cards in a balance patch scheduled for some time next week, as confirmed by the PlayHearthstone twitter.
Assuming it arrives on schedule, this will be the fastest balance change in Hearthstone history.
Quote From Blizzard We’re currently working on a balance update that will arrive within the next week containing adjustments for #DescentofDragons, including some changes aimed at Shaman.
Any cards that are affected will be given full arcane dust refunds. Stay tuned for more details next week.

But you’re a Child of Galakrond. Why would you want to nerf your dad?
I'm not sure how much they can do about Galakrond itself, since symmetry with other classes is so integral to it's design. Your other predictions are spot on, though
Not the first time they sacrificed "symmetry" or flavour for gameplay/ balance purposes
Firstly: those googly eyes, I lol'd
Secondly: even though it's nice balance adjustments are being made QUICKLY, it feels kind of silly to do it within the first week after release. Was this not tested good enough? (Reminds a bit of the D3 whirlrend nerf earlier this week, 1 month in the new season, after it had been seriously OP on PTR for god knows how long)
Looking forward to never seeing Faceless Corruptor ever again - a neutral 5 mana get two 5/4 rush minions is totally broken.
I'm honestly a little shocked they didn't see that in testing. Comparing to the Druid's Oasis Surger, to that same level of efficiency, you had to play Quest Druid and make inefficient plays for several turns. By contrast, this neutral card only requires that you play a deck that wants to control the early board (i.e. makes efficient early game plays), and the fact that you're morphing an existing minion is often a bonus rather than a drawback.
this was expectedly unexpected we knew nerfs were coming but I didn't expect so fast because you know, past data.
Praise Galakrond for bringing Death to Galakrond!
Hopefully they will hit faceless corruptor. That card is nearly always 10/8 withrrush for 5 mana.
they will most probably concetrate on Corrupt Elementalist
Agree, kind of. 1 card invoke twice with 7/5 worth of stats (some have rush) is very valueble. Tempest Galakrond is easily invoked to third phase makes shaman not also good on tempo, but on value as well.
I really hope not. The cards that should be nerfed are Faceless Corruptor and Dragon's Pack, first of all. Corrupt Elementalist could warrant being bumped up to 6, but it's a distant third on my list of priorities.
Corrupt Elementalist is not a problem in of itself. The tremendous problem is that it imbalances the Galakrond from other classes in shaman's favour. Invoke cards are supposed to be bad for their mana cost while upgrading Galakrond. This card however, is just good in of itself, and it upgrades Galakrond way too fast, AND it basically means shaman doesn't have to play the other bad invoke cards.
At the moment, its one of the highest winrate cards in G-shaman. It needs a nerf to 7, or lowered stats on 6.
[Hearthstone Card (Faceless corrupter) Not Found], being a neutral card at least means I can play it myself. I don't see how its broken given that Oasis Surger didn't get nerfed so I'm thinking this would be a skip.
Maybe Galakrond's 8/8 rush will be turned to 6/6. That might just reduce the swing.
Dragon's Pack might get the nerf stick for being stupid stats on 5 but if they nerfed Corrupt Elementalist to the ground then maybe this can get a break for now.
It is a problem. You can invoke twice with one card and get a lot of tempo with the rush minions. Yes the stats of the card feel meh but the value from it, is just too good.
Hasn't Mogu Fleshshaper been a problem for longer?
At least that doesn't put 2 8/8 rush on top of the bs you get from shaman these days.
Without Evolve, Mogu Fleshshaper isn't really that big of a deal imo. Shaman does far more broken things right now.
Really? You think 0-mana transform into an 8-mana minion is fine?
Ban Mutate ;)
That was fast. Good on them for responding so quickly!
