If you've ever thought that Hearthstone's shop was getting to be a bit much, and it was difficult to find what you wanted at times because of it, you're in luck! This week's game update introduces a brand new shop experience into Hearthstone.
The last time Hearthstone's shop received a makeover was around this time four years ago - all the way back in 2019! Here's what's new
- There are now categories which divides shop deals into Deals, Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, and Modes.
- Subcategories, via a top navigation, make getting to hero skins, and other items, much easier.
- Animated skins now better showcase their art.
- You can now preview the voicelines of skins that have unique lines.
Blizzard has a preview of the new shop ahead of its release.
Quote From Blizzard We’ve overhauled the in-game shop to improve performance and make it easier for all players to see the types of products that interest them most! Now, shop categories are broken down into tabs and sub-tabs to reduce scrolling. There are main tabs on the left side for Featured items (like current best-value bundles), Hearthstone items, Battlegrounds items, Modes items (like Tavern Tickets), and Runestones. Some of these main tabs also have sub-tabs across the top to make further navigation easier!
You can also now zoom in on specific items in a bundle, to get a better look at them. Just select the bundled product and click or tap on the part of the product image you want to zoom in on! We’ve also improved the item preview for animated Skins to better show off their art. Finally, if a Skin or Bartender has special voicelines, there is now a speech bubble button for you to preview them.

Finally!
This sounds great! I hate scrolling through the shop.
I hope there will be more skins at the same time.
There are some old skins I whould pay gold for if they were available.
I still regret not getting Skullbearer Illidan and Emerald Malfurion. Maybe one day they'll return.
I've noticed an uptick in skins offered since the festival of legends.
It has depleted my gold from my f2p account
I've been playing this game long enough that I can remember a time when I actually owned most of the available skins. I never spend on cosmetics (unless it was part of a pre-order bundle, which I used to always buy). At this point there are, what, 20 or 30 skins per class (fewer for the 2 newest classes, of course)? Even if I cared about collecting such things, I'd never even attempt that now.
My favorite skin of all time will always be the Arthas skin from Knights of the Frozen Throne. You had to work HARD to earn that sucker, and I took pleasure in showing it off.
Same here, I even had to change my gold spending strategy. I bought less Badlands packs with gold in order to buy more skins later.
Same lol. I started allowing myself to spend 3000-3500 gold on skins per expansion and now I save up standard packs for launch (I used to open them right away). I dust my wild cards and I have all the decks I want to play so I figured skins would bring me more joy than some extra legendaries and epics. Once the next rotation happens I'll have around 80k dust. All as a f2p and I just clear my quests, I don't even play that much.
It seems that the number of weekly hero skins purchasable with gold has doubled. Our gold stash will deplete twice as fast now.
OMFG 😱
The upside is that Snowflipper Rexxar will probably return to the shop much sooner. Maybe even in time for this holiday season.
Probably a good change, the laggy scrolling in shop was a pretty bad experience for years.
