  • Treasure Distributor. 10/10 the best card for aggressive pirate decks, very important in wild but in standard it will not see play until the second expansion of this year because according to the image of this year's expansions it is seen with a beach atmosphere and logically there will be more pirates

Sing-Along Buddy. For interesting combos like Value (Pulsing Pumpkins, Ascendant Scroll, Build-A-Beast, Galakrond's Wit and Galakrond's Guile) or just kill the opponent like (Ashfallen's Fury with Expendable Performers and Felfire Deadeye) (Steady Shot with Tavish, Master Marksman) (Pharaoh's Warmask) (The Four Horsemen with Garrison Commander)

Rumble Enthusiast. It's basically Altruis the Outcast but limited to only dealing damage to a random enemy character, total garbage

Nostalgic Initiate. Another yeti for 3 mana for rogue

Card Grader, Giggling Toymaker and Origami Frog. They are ok

Clearance Promoter. These types of cards that discount even just 2 spells are always good, I think it's good so that they are not as abusive as others

Forgotten Animatronic. The Card of '87

  • When they release cards like Sing-Along Buddy, i feel abandoned as a rogue player. I hope they will give Rogue a hero power this time around to at least use this card.

There are already quite good weapons for rogue and Spectral Cutlass is returning back too. Even giving our weapon +1 attack would be enough for me. Maybe rework it like "equip a 1/2 dagger, if you have a weapon equiped, give it +1 attack instead." will it be OP ? I don't think so. When your mulligan is bad, you always have to waste your weapon most of the time while other classes are doing something. Demon hunter does almost the same thing for 1-mana...

Give us a hero power that can trigger twice in a turn at least. It doesn't have to be awesome, I just want to see that using hero power twice in a turn with Rogue worths something...

  • My review of the reveals, interesting cards only;

Li'Na, Shop Manager - Its clearly a build around card that's likely more relevant to rogue and druid than any other class. But will it be a good, competitive card? Well, I kinda rate this around the same as The Scourge. Its kinda good when it goes off well, but there are just so many games where it spawns you no taunts/rush minions and completely screw your match.

Playhouse Giant - Prob more giants for a hypothetical handlock deck which kinda does really well with something like Gaslight Gatekeeper. Really nothing much else. Perhaps it'll find itself in druid and rogue which conventionally draws their entire deck most of the time anyway.

Nostalgic Clown - To me, this is a combo card. Prob for rogue. Its really too slow for anything else more conventional. Perhaps later reveals would make more sense of this card but at the moment, its hard to see this as anything more than a potential combo piece.

Giggling Toymaker - Its Giggling Inventor but worse. Why? Well because if you cant pop it then it cant save you. So in addition to playing the card you need to spend another card/option to also trigger it. Still, got to respect it if nothing else. Anything that can spawn two annoyatrons cannot realistically be ignored.

Rumble Enthusiast - Its practically s'theno, but worse. Not sure what can be made of this, but the random nature of the damage makes this hard to see competitive play.

Clearance Promoter - I dont know what can be made of this. But Id be surprised if this doesnt contribute to something toxic in the next 2 years.

Sing-Along Buddy - Probably the most interesting of the lot. Makes anything that refresh hp incredibly busted. I can see plenty of potential for this card to actually see competitive play.

  • Timebound Giant is now a (slightly nerfed) real card.

  • Now imagine Sing-Along Buddy in a deck based around Free Spirit and Groovy Cat. Casual +20 Attack/+20 Armor on the Hero Power :D

If only it said "an additional time" lol.

    • Justicar Trueheart (at any time) + Brann followed by Odyn + Sing-Along = similar result, but arguably easier to pull off.

      • I thought you can't Brann Odyn's Battlecry? Either way, kind of frustrating that a fun deck idea is so easily marred by "lol Odyn exists" :(

  • I'm not sure why but I'm so full of nostalgia. Weird how some of these cards are bringing back so many memories...

I do wonder if we'll see some cards inspired by past mechanics. Maybe that's a bit overkill

These echoes of the past do invoke some dormant emotions

  • I know they don't like to use former keywords that won't be a mainstay of Standard, but it looks weird to see so much text used to describe Corrupt and Honorable Kill.

Edit: and now Outcast and Spellburst

    • To be fair, Rumble Enthusiast isn't Outcast, it's the same mechanic as Altruis the Outcast.

    • Oh, Yogg, they've been Yu-Gi-Oh-ified! /s

  • If you count Storm Giant, that's 3 expansions in a row that had a Giant in them. Pretty sure that never happened before, right?

  • Day 111 of reveals, eh? This is gonna be a big set.

I see Nostalgic Clown fitting into a lot of non-aggro decks with the lower power level following rotation. It's not flashy, but a solid midrange filler card.

In 1s-and-0s speak (aka binary), "111" means 7. Someone was being cheeky with the robot.

      • I forgot how to count in binary and though it's a 6 lul
