Seed of Pain Warlock

Updated the list after the first games on day 1, the deck feels very strong so far. Questline completion happens quite consistently around turns 5-7. Getting Darkglare or Sense Demons early feels very important.

A theorycraft to make use of The Demon Seed in Wild, created by Swizard, Priest enthusiast, Lazy Kid and me on Discord.

The game plan is to complete the Questline asap with the help of Darkglare shenanigans and then kill your opponent with a big Unlicensed Apothecary swing turn.

You might also want to check out Lazy Kid's alternative list that focuses on destroying your deck and killing your opponent via fatigue damage.

Hey guys, congrats on this cool, collaborative effort! I look forward to trying this deck out.

I'm thinking we might need more healing if we're going to be burning our own face so much. You have 2x Drain Soul and Spellstones, plus the Lifesteal on the Questline. Will that be enough?

The quest requires 21 damage face, but heals for 6, so after completing it you can be at 15hp. However, if you use Crystallizer then you can get 5hp towards completion without actually losing hp. So using one of those, you can be at 20hp after the quest which is reasonably high. Or you can use one spellstone for 7 and be at 22hp. If you combine multiple spellstones (Tamsin Roame can duplicate them) and Crystallizers which is doable since this deck has a lot of card draw, then you can be at even higher than 20hp after completing the quest. Of course aggro is going to try and damage you too, but that's why the deck will have premium removals like Defile and Dark Skies. Also some cards like Spirit Bomb and Unstable Shadow Blast will help remove aggro minions to stop additional damage while helping you progress in your quest.

Thanks! Please let us know your thoughts once you've tried it, we're still looking for the best version. Swizard has already tested it in a few games since the only new card is the quest. So far, it seems to work pretty well.

I think it has quite some similarity to the currently used Darkglare lists, but while those control the board with whatever minions they find and Broomstick, we have added some spells like Defile and Dark Skies. Cheaty Anklebiter might be worth a try as well, since it helps with Darkglare turns and provides some healing if we manage to trade it. The main argument against it is its Cost: we need as many cheap minions as possible for the OTK. The goal is defintely to end the game on turn 6 whenever possible.

It's a thin line we're walking with this list, but we haven't seen the support cards from the new expansion we're expecting to get for the questline. So yeah, there's almost certainly room for improvement, but we've put further development on hold for the time being.
