[Legend] Highlander Aluneth Secret Mage 66% WR

Hi. This is my second attempt on the hybrid between secret mage and highlander mage. I reached legend in wild for the first time, so i decided to share the deck. I had 66% winrate from rank 4 to legend. From rank 6 to 4, I used evolve shaman.

Awesome thing about the deck is that you can play both ways - Try to control the game against the aggro decks, or curve out and push face damage against slower decks.
card explanation:
Kabal Lackey - works fine with Aluneth, lets you trow more cards into play while drawing with Aluneth. I don't usually play him with secret on turn 1.
Secretkeeper - the only valid turn 1 play. Screws with Secret Mages amazingly
Ancient Mysteries - tutor + discount, works great with Arcane Flakmage
Arcane Flakmage - because Odd Paladin
Arcanologist - draws secret for next turn Kirin Tor Mage
Mad Scientist - tempo, staple
Medivh's Valet - tempo swing, staple
Primordial Glyph - fish for stuff when you are screwed or when floating mana
Zephrys the Great - perfect card
Arcane Intellect - dead card when you have Aluneth in hand, but useful when you don't
Counterspell - best secret in the game, when timed right
Explosive Runes - face
Flame Ward - because Aggro decks
Forgotten Torch - one card deal 9 dmg
Ice Block - prepare for Reno Jackson
Kirin Tor Mage - tempo swing, staple
Mirror Entity - [Hearthstone Card (Firefly) Not Found] or [Hearthstone Card (Tyrion Fordring) Not Found], your choice
Potion of Polymorph - for [Hearthstone Card (Void Caller) Not Found]s and other big/cheating stuff
SN1P-SN4P - value
Stargazer Luna - great draw and soft-taunt
Fireball - face
Kazakus - flexibility - do not underestimate the 1 mana potion
Cloud Prince - face with body
Loatheb - board clear protector (great on curve)
Zilliax - survive
Aluneth - <3
Kabal Crystal Runner - 0 mana 5/5
Reno Jackson - survive more
Reno the Relicologist - usualy wins the board when played on curve
Medivh, the Guardian - when you had enough of Aluneth. If you have no spells in your hand, Atiesh can go face:)
When playing aggresively, you want to curve out like this:
Turn 1: Secretkeeper
Turn 2: Mad Scientist or Arcanologist
Turn 3: Kirin Tor Mage + secret or SN1P-SN4P or Stargazer Luna
Turn 4: 4 mana Kabal Crystal Runner, Kazakus into 5 mana potion (ressurect and target damage works fine)
Turn 5: 5 mana Kazakus Potion or Loatheb for protection
When playing defensively, you can still use the same curve, but it is better to mulligan for highlander cards, Arcane Flakmage, Flame Ward and Zilliax.
Don't mill your Medivh, the Guardian! And don't shuffle second Roaring Torch from Primordial Glyph to your deck:) Deck of Wonders is also bad pick.

Hey man, just wanted to say that I showcased your deck on the /r/wildhearthstone community. I've just hit legend with this deck and I must say, this deck's absolutely amazing to pilot. I'm a main Reno deck that usally tends to the more controllish versions of it, but I must say, this version is really awesome. I didn't record stats, but clearly I'm topping the 66% win rate you described.
I went from rank 3 last weekend to legend this morning. I had a blast playing this deck. Thanks a lot for sharing it!!!

This looks a lot of fun, I'm missing Kazakus and Loatheb but I'm playing wild a lot more so may craft them.
Secret Mage is my favourite deck of all time so I'm always keen on variations of it!
Also big congrats on Legend. I'm floundering around rank 6 at the moment so will continue the climb.
Hi. Kazakus is great, I crafted him few months ago and I don't regret it. Loatheb is also good but not a must, I would try to replace him by something before crafting.

Just wanted to say I've played a little with the deck and I REALLY like it. What I like about secret mage is it has the tools to beat any deck. With the inclusion of highlander cards and some control elements this deck is even better at doing that! I also put an Eater of Secrets in instead of Loatheb as there's so many secret mages on the ladder.

Hi. Eater of Secrets is a great choice against secret mage, much better than Loatheb. Even if you play Loatheb against secret mage, they can still reduce the cost of secrets via Kabal Lackey or Kirin Tor Mage. Good choice. Combination of Eater of Secrets and Reno Jackson should make every secret mage cry:)
