HUGE patch notes today; so I didn't even notice this little nugget until I was rereading for the 2nd time:
Quote From Author Additionally, we plan to approach balance with a seasonal mindset, adjusting our methods as the meta goes through different stages between sets of new cards. Once we’re out of beta and get into our regular cadence of releasing new sets, it should look something like this:
- New set of cards released.
- First balance patch: mostly “medium”-sized number changes based on our early sense of outliers.
- Second balance patch: Significant updates to underutilized cards, and the main patch where you can expect any major champion updates.
- Third balance patch: Limited number changes to stabilize any meta issues.
- Next set of cards released.
Since they've previously announced that they want to do balance patches exactly every 4th Tuesday, I believe we can make some reasonable inferences:
Additionally, if we look a few patch notes prior to when they announced ranked mode, we can see they put that in context of "Seasons" too, so we can also hypothesize:
And finally, if you REALLY want to go out on limb, you could look at how they've been describing this open beta as a "Beta Season" and wildly speculate:
Obviously I've made a lot of assumptions in all of these points and even if I'm right that this is their unannounced plan of record its still subject to change (e.g., they find some critical bug they need to solve before releasing, or they get delayed releasing the mobile version to iTunes and decide its worth it to postpone just to have a consolidated launch, or they decide they want more overlap between their season schedule and HS's expansion schedule). Regardless, its got me very excited so I thought I'd share.

Just thinking, apropos-of-nothing, of specific health break-points to think about in LoR. Meta's still in flux, of course, but there are enough trends emerging that we can think of:
1 - Vile Feast
2 - Mystic Shot, Fleetfeather Tracker, Laurent Protege
3 - Black Spear, Grasp, Fiora
[3] - Culling Strike; Power not health
4+ - Ehhh...?
8 - Major Ledros breakpoint - >8 health means four plays required to kill you, guaranteeing you two attack rounds
Obviously I'm not being in any way comprehensive here, and am mostly trying to stick to the main meta points (e.g. Get Excited isn't on there because Jinx is basically absent from the meta so far)... but I'm still confident I'm missing stuff. Thoughts?

So, I'm curious how you guys feel about this. When you Shadowshift a unit that's currently in battle, the Living Shadow will battle the enemy unit instead. However, if you Shadowshift one of your units that's currently targeted by a spell, e.g. Mystic Shot, the spell fizzles out after Shadowshift resolves.
I feel this is inconsistent and the spell should hit the Living Shadow. The phrasing "in its place" suggests to me that, for all intents and purposes, the shadow should completely replace the recalled unit.
This is also (sort of) backed by a somewhat similar question asked about Stand United in this thread. Stand United uses the term "swap," which has the same gist, and apparently in its case, the spell hits the swapped-in unit instead of fizzling (I haven't tested it, myself, but this seems be true based in the thread replies).

So I was playing a Braum deck against a SI/Noxus aggro spiders and falling behind fast. They played a Frenzied Skitterer, I figure: OK, sure they got buffed but my Braum went from 0/5 to 0/5 so no big deal. I want to take some power off the board so on my turn I challenge the weakest spider, a 3/1, and I play Radiant Strike--except Braum only becomes a 0/6, so the spider lives. :-( Apparently, even though it said 0 attack, it appreciated that it should have been at -1 from the Skitterer so the attack portion of my buff cancelled out. Quickly got overrun by fearsomes a few rounds later.
Just thought I would share that bit of experience.
if i use [runecard] united stand[/runecard] if one of my units would be recalled or damaged does the spell still resolves because it still on field or flizzes ? i dont have it to test it XD.

It sure looks like one. It even synergizes with Spider synergy (chump tokens that die so you can play a 5/5 on the cheap). So why isn't it? Is it because it's a Ghost Spider? I know this sounds like another Ghostly Charger debate but this one actually seems significant, I can understand if it's just a gameplay balance thing because this card would actually be significantly better as a Spider (whereas for Ghostly Charger, it really doesn't matter either way, Beast Tag does nothing for Paladin) but in that case, couldn't they just replace the art with something blatantly less spidery? It just seems to cause a lot of confusion.

There will be a balance change patch this Tuesday in runeterra which cards do you think will be changed (buffed/nerfed/reworked)?
Disclaimer: Those changes are suggestions/my opinion, also it doesn't mean I am salty for losing to the "op cards" nor I meme with the cards I suggest to buff.
My list:
Buffs:
Poro Snax, Kalista, Trueshot Barrage (from slow to fast),Funsmith(from 5 to 4, not enough fun as it is),Midenstokke Henchmen(cost reduced, stats too),Shady Character, from 1/1 to 1/2 (harder to just kill), Lux (didn't see her at all..), Emerald Awakener (+0/+1 , base, +0/-1 on the buff still the same on turn 10 but sucks much less when played on curve), Scuttlegeist (5/5->6/6)
Reworks:
Deny.
ramp tools(overnerfed, nobody consider playing them).
Battering Ram - not broken in constructed but is in expeditions.
Nerfs:
Commander Ledros (+1 cost, remove fearsome),Fiora (3 targets required for level up, doesn't keep count with new copies), Elise (2/3-> 2/2),Shadow Assassin (2/2->2/1 OR 3->4 mana cost), Kinkou Lifeblade(4->5 mana or 2/3->2/2 maybe both),Navori Conspirator (3/2->2/2),Inspiring Mentor (on buff +1/+1->+1/+0), Rhasa the Sunderer (cost +1), Hecarim (Cost +1), Wraithcaller(4/3->3/3 no longer has fearsome),Frenzied Skitterer (cost 3->4), Cursed Keeper (token is 3/3 instead of 4/4).
Expecting changes to some frostbite cards they are too efficient.
OK I probably missed some stuff that is clear that it needs changes and Riot will surprise us with cards we did not think were problematic or cards that we didn't think were too good but they got the big data, the win rates the play rates..

i played a game of expidition with a quite good Garen Darius Elite Deck on round 5
my Opponent basicly crafted a probably very solid Aniva Ashe frostburn deck
the point where it went strange was the following
he has a lvld Anivia on his side
I have a 6/3 (after he took 2 dmg) fearsome guy and a full board on my attack round he on 4 life me on 5
i attack imedeatly so he cant play anything.
so far so good he blocks with anivia the 6/3 and i should have done MORE then enough dmg to kill him trice with my other minions.
What happens? Anivia dies, all of my other minions are frostburned wihtout him playing a card (i looked in the list... nothign happend, he didnt play a spell at all) and he is able to play a few minions and kill me the next round
pls party people what happend here?

Simply put. I have a quest today to play 3 Champions from Demacia or Noxus. I played 3 games vs AI and played a total of 5 champions from said regions. It still only said 1/3. So I switched to a PvP game and played another 1 or 2 champions, only for it to STILL say 1/3.
I tried logging out and then back in. Still the same. I don't want to reroll it because it's an easy quest. This is frustrating as it seems to happen to me quite often.
Thoughts? Ideas to remedy this?

Light rant incoming.
The first week of the open beta, I barely had anything so I threw together my versions of the 3 starter decks (including exchanging Ionia/Zed for Noxus/Darius in the Jinx deck). Lots of mismatched odds & ends that just happen to be around the right mana cost/function, right? Ugly, but they win games--let's say 50-50. And I'm not really one for fiddling with decks, so I just leave them. So this week, I decide after my vault I'm going to go and revisit them and finally spend a few wildcards crafting a few essentials for my favorite, the Jinx deck. I take out Darius and some of the 3-cost stuff and focus on discard-synergy, nexus damage, and cards that are easier to cycle for rockets--we can debate whether that's a good deck building strategy, but at least its *a* strategy, right? And I go something like 1:5 that night. So I figure maybe I'm just off or maybe its some unfavorable matchups; I try again this evening and again go like 0:3. Then I swap back to my oddball Jinx deck and its like 2:1, and then I go to my oddball Braum/Garen deck and it goes like 2:1.
It's like the harder I try in building the deck, the worse my games go. My rationale brain realizes the aforementioned is very poor sample size and that there was an inherent trade-off building so heavily around Jinx--all the same, though, my emotional brain is saying that to just forgot about deck building and keep playing the crappy oddball decks until they break entirely. :-P

Hello,
I went on a Runeterra expedition with 7 wins on first run and I stopped with only 1 win during the second run (I read it was pointless to continue).
Somehow I only got 300XP (I expected 2000XP for 7 wins) and then I got the capsule and shards.
What did I do wrong ? Was it a mistake to start the 2nd run ? Or did they lower the XP gain to 300 for 7 wins ?
Feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks !
