Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

For as long as video games have existed, players have been getting annoyed with them. Whether it's forgetting to save and losing all your progress, getting hopelessly lost in the Water Temple or plain old bad RNG, sometimes you need a place to vent.

This is a place for you to post about your frustrations with the game, whether that be your fifth loss in a row or a particularly bad pack opening. This is not a place to mock or otherwise antagonise other people - posting to try and get a rise out of people will get you warned.

While we'll be more lenient with allowing excessive f-bombs and the like here (and in fact I'd recommend them, nothing like a good swear to get the anger out), forum rules do still apply, and specifically calling out people is not allowed. This thread is for your frustrations with the game, not anything else.

I wish you well in ranting your anger out, and will be happy to see you on the rest of the forums once you've cooled off again!

  • Just played a Shaman who had literally doesn't know what paying the card cost actually means 

    Free Sea Giant's by turn 3/4

    1 mana Mogu Fleshshaper into Mutate. Twice in a row! Gets Deathwing and Colossus out of them. On turn 6

    Can we stop pretending that this is not a fucking issue please. You play Mogu at 1 you a get a fucking 2 drop, simple, how is even remotely sensible for it to be a 10 drop at that point

    Fucking cunt designers obviously circle jerk over how far they can push this shit before we want to shoot them. (That is now by the way, or when Mogu and Mutate were aloud to be in same rotation).

    Not to mention all the Galakrond shit and free rush minions coming from his arsehole every turn and scoring taunt totems nearly every turn too. 

    Mother fucker just got way too lucky on every single roll he had.

    Sea Giant needs to join his brothers in the pit of hell that is HoF and this mana cheating shit needs to stop and be fixed. 

     

     

  • Opponent is a bomb warrior, and he gets 4 bombs in my deck. All 4 go off within 2 turns. The last turn, 3 bombs in a row. I had 25 cards in my deck! How the fuck did all 4 bombs get put in my top 5 cards? Seriously?

  • Ok, seriously... I've played 10 matches on standard ladder so far today and all 10 have been vs DH. Seriously, what the fuck is Blizzard doing with this game? 2 nerfs that have barely touched the power of the class. This expansion has been a shit show since day 1. We need more (better) nerfs NOW!

    • For the first time in a while, there isn't a single (viable) deck in Standard that I'm interested in.

      All the classes feel so... lackluster. I just spent 8k dust in Wild just because I wanted to play something different that than the usual, but unfortunately I can't find a single card in the last set (maybe just Evocation and Astromancer Solarian, but I don't want to play Highlander Mage) that turns me on. 

      And it's not all DH's fault. The next expansion can't come soon enough.

    Wow... life has gotten me way too tilted, and I'm taking it out on Hearthstone. I'm just going to remove what was said in this comment... I'm a little ashamed with myself for saying those things. Need to find a way to de-stress a little better. 

  • So this is a weird venting, I'm actually going to complain about my victory. I switched to DH because I wanted a win to get me out of Silver. First game, hadn't tried the tempo deck yet and found myself facing a quest Priest. Things went his way, he kept himself healed and cleared what I put up. I did not have a great start, not at all.

    Then I hit turn 6, Skull of Gul'dan. I'd managed to get set it up so it was the left most card, I'd at least managed that. But after that, it was over. Three turn to kill a Priest from full health, with quest completed and a beefy taunt on the field. All because he couldn't deal with the Priestess of Fury I got on the board. Altruis was barely needed.

    This is my long winded way to say that Demon Hunter is busted and it clearly needs toning down. And I'm saying that after playing and winning with it. I didn't feel clean after.

  • I'm not really salty about this, but still got a good kick out of my shit luck. One of the most hilariously terrible hands I have ever had.

  • Ok, seriously can we nerf Shadowjeweler Hanar yet? I'm at the point where when that card is played on 2 (or 1 with coin) and I don't have a way to remove it (which is 99% of the time) I just concede. This card should be 3 mana or have 4 health.

    I don't want to nerf it into oblivion, but in it's current form, it's too easy for Rogue to just drop this on curve, and they don't have to worry about their opponent having a way to remove it.

  • Demon Hunter is such a nightmare. Fuck this class, and the way it was introduced with so many balance flaws.... If you play it, we're happy for ya.

  • Is it just me, or do all highlander decks play exactly the same? it's almost like a 11th. class. the highlander.

  • This new ranked system is so frustrating. It essentially forces you to ladder every month or you start falling really far behind and have to do a massive climb. And if you choose to constantly ladder, all you get placed against is the same fucking tryhards all the time unlike in the past when at least you could play low rank games and see unique decks. In my entire laddering of last season I never once saw a homebrew deck in wild. Great work community. New expansion comes out and every single player plays pirate warrior, jade druid, quest mage, secret mage, darkest hour lock, mech paladin or odd DH, all taken off the top netdeck list.

      sadly i can't agree with you more. two months ago wild rank 15-5 was full with interesting, unique and wacky decks. nowadays i only face secret mage or highlander priest with the occasional demon hunter and that is it. no matter what rank or what homebrew deck i run.

  • I just got killed by my own Solarian Prime. It cast Conjurer's Calling on an enemy minion, which gave my opponent enough attack to kill me. I thought it wasn't supposed to harm you, just the opponent? Why would I ever want to call Conjurer's Calling on an enemy minion save for the most edgiest of edge cases?

      Sadly it can still harm you. It's text says "targets enemies if possible", so because there was an enemy minion, Conjurer's Calling targeted the enemy minion. It's one of the few Mage spells you'd want to target a friendly instead. It's definitely one of the worst spells to roll, unless you opponents board is clear. I got fucked by my opponent's Solarian Prime casting Conjurer's Calling on itself before.

      Apparently random = targeting.  Fucking bullshit.

      Yeah Make it Rain is really weird in how it interacts with other cards. When it was revealed I expected it to select its targets once the effect resolves, but instead it selects its targets immediately when its played and before the effect resolves. This makes it interact with other cards that interact with targeting effects (e.g. Ezreal and Fizz). It also gives the opponent a much better chance to respond, as they will know exactly which of their units are about to get hit.

      I'm not sure if I would prefer the spell to select its targets when the effect resolves and not before, or the way it currently works. The former would give both players the same amount of knowledge to work with, but it would probably also make the card much more frustrating to play against.

  • Sigh. I just had a good opening hand and a good start. Crystalline Oracle into an Expired Merchant, Drakonid Operative discovers me Bloodreaver Gul'dan and I steal a Voidlord with Shadow Madness and kill it with Forbidden Words on my side. Guess what, disconnect happened and I couldn't reconnect due to Blizzard's stupid dc cooldown. I managed to fix my internet, but the battlenet didn't let me log in on time. Fucking hate their battlenet launcher.

    [edit] It happened to me again, but in that game I was already in a losing position, so it didn't matter. But the weird thing is, that when I got the error message, I checked my internet connection and it was working. The client told me it couldn't reconnect me, but yet I went to youtube and the page loaded normally. Dafuq.

  • I'm close to hitting the pity timer for the 4th in a row (currently 36 packs without Legendary), this has by far been my worst opening since beta.

  • This isn't really a salt post since I'm spamming Demon Hunter (halfway to 500 wins now!), but is Blizzard ever gonna nerf Priestess of Fury? Playing Raging Felscreamer then Priestess on turn 5 is often a game-ending play. Only a few decks can handle a turn 5 Priestess, then there's the scary possibility that you'll drop another one on turn 7, which is downright devastating for your opponent. 

    For the record I'm still expecting it to be nerfed (either this or Raging Felscreamer), and a small part of me is hoping that it does happen because I've saved up 10 copies of it just in case :P

  • Nothing is more triggering than playing a match against a Standard T1 deck, while on Wild Ladder. I came to Wild because I'm tired of playing against the same decks all the time. Take your fucking Standard T1 deck back to Standard so I can play against something interesting.

  • For a while now I have been thinking, that Zephrys is plain retarded. But after the game I just finished, I am certain this is true. Just take a look:

    I was almost dead against an odd demon hunter. Why THE FUCK would Zephrys the Great give me Healing Touch instead of Holy Light, while I was sitting at 2 mana?!? I was on the brink of dying and I got the more expensive healing option... Thankfully the DH didn't have enough damage that turn (he was 1 off lethal), which gave me plenty of time to recover and to win. But HOLY FUCKING SHIT the offered cards triggered me a lot.

  • Can I have just 1 game today where RNG doesn't just completely fuck me and work out completely perfect for my opponent? Is that too much to ask? Great Yogg, why have you forsaken me?

  • Ugggghhhh I was one win away from Wild legend only to lose to a Secret Mage, a deck I had been massacring up to that point. Close fight too; I got my opponent down to 3 health but I just ran out of steam, and if only I got my 1-drops early on and didn't draw badly, I would've won. Now I've lost two straight and I need to regroup and recover. So close!

  • This salt isn't related to playing Hearthstone at all (like I very rarely get so salty about the game unless it's an outside context problem like game disconnecting or bugging out), but I just wanna throw a large rock on anyone that still whines about "CLASS IDENTITY REEEEE" bullshit. Y'know, the people who memes and complaints about Paladin having no identity and meanwhile we have Shamans here having absolutely no direction at all in their new cards and I don't see people meming and complaining about Shaman. At least Paladin's stuff, messy as the flavor can be (which I disagree a lot but that's for another day) all converges into one solid gameplan which is Midrange (and sometimes Aggro). What the fuck do you do with Shaman right now? Control? Aggro? Burst combo? Who the hell knows?

    The point of card games is the cards, and sometimes you gotta play fast and loose with the 'strict established' flavor if you want new cards to pop. I don't play all the Paladin cards, but I love Murgur Murgurgle, Annoy-o-Module, the Lightforged and Libram cards, all of these are fun cards regardless of how 'out of flavor' or how weird they are. So just fuck you to any of you dumbasses rubbing two brain cells together and making the ABSOLUTELY ORIGINAL HOT TAKE of "Guys, Paladin class identity a mess amirite? durrrrr".

        Honestly I wasn't even talking about strengths and weaknesses, I'm just really and absolutely miffed at the whole stupid "Durrr Paladin bad no class identity messy hehehe" circlejerk that's everywhere. Here, Hearthpwn, the damn main Hearthstone subreddit, all of that. Just seems so stupid that people harp on whatever new thing Paladin gets in on either because "REEEEEEEEEE Paladins aren't supposed to be about this!!!!111!" (Secrets/Mech/Murlocs) or just people whinging that Paladin should stick to an archetype. Which, yeah, they do. Midrange and Aggro. They just happen to have semi-different flavors now and then.

  • This is the most degenerate meta I have ever seen in 5 years. T1 decks are just fucking obsurd and generate broken stuff into broken stuff over and over and no amount of good play or strategy from a lesser deck can out value it or play around random generations. Even playing with them is unfun, just going through the motions until you or your opponent gets their broken shit off. 

    Not even sure I want to play anymore if this is the direction they want to go in. Casino mage is all the devs can think to do with an amazing class, mana cheating is still rife even though everyone hates it, "DD spells" don't count as attacks for fuck knows what reason. Highlander stuff running around generating more copies of cards than a regular deck can. 

    What the fuck are they doing? 

    I can't be the only one but I know this will get downvoted the shit out of.

        No it's like taking another turn but you don't draw or refill your mana.  Runeterra is a little different.  Charge isn't a thing because summoning sickness isn't a thing.  Scout gives you a full second round of attacking.  Sometimes you're in a position where your deck's win condition vs your opponent is simply to have a turn to breathe and catch up on board.  Scout means that's never going to happen.

Why the hell would u play such stupids decks in a game where u are supossed to have fun?? And when you finally seem to break the badluck streak, they topdeck something to win the game. I quit 5v5 games for ppl who doesnt have a clue what they are doing, so in a simple 1v1 card game, where only depends on luck, i get shitted the whole time. I swear to god if i ever have a chance to stab ALL the fucktards in pvp games, i would gladly do it. Jesus i cant be more mad. When did games became so stressful? F

  • First of all... FUCK ALL OF YOU MORONS, who just play Secret and Quest Mage, Odd Demon Hunter, Mech Pally, Raza Priest ..... How much of a retard I have to be to just play these fucking decks? What do you have to gain in Wild? Honest question, what is the purpose that you only play these retard decks? Wild could be a fun format but, if just more people were like Roffle and Swaguar.

  • I'd like to give a big shoutout to the pieces of shit who are still playing Noxus + P&Z burn aggro in fucking normal mode even after the nerfs. I also really love that I always draw all three copies of Make it Rain in my deck when they happen to have multiple Crimson Disciples!

Oh, i'm mistaken, apparently all of them are highlander hunters because they play Brann on turn 7 for the lethal, how do they draw so well with a 1-of deck that makes me believe its a completely different deck until turn 7?

    Why in Demacia's name does Fiora have FREAKING CHALLENGER. I lost my whole trial to this French lady on about ROUND 6! What made it worse is that she was protected by Shen. So none of my followers can damage her. All my spells were deep in my deck.

    Why did they make this card?

     

  • Did you know that Evocation could generate Evocation? Well I didn't! And when a Quest Mage player did it on turn 4, with a Sorcerer's Apprentice on board, it was fucking disgusting! First they dropped the Apprentice for 2 mana, then they completed 7 out of 8 spells required for the quest with the two Evocations, FOR 0 MANA, and then finished with a Mana Cyclone! I was just sitting there, it was an absurd "WTF Blizzard, how is this possible" moment for me. Then the quest was finished on their next turn.

    At least I lucked out too. With an almost perfect Secret Mage mulligan, and a lucky Duplicate, I was able to go face enough before they played their Time Warp. But with almost any other deck, it would have been unwinnable.

    Blizz plz, give Evocation the [Hearthstone Card (Dragonqueen Alexstraza) Not Found] treatment.

      I feel you, man. I had this game when I had a board full of Keleseth-buffed minions, and all my opponent had to do was play Flamewaker and Sorcerer's Apprentice into Evocation, and a couple of shenanigans later my entire board was wiped out and I took like 10 damage to the face as well. It's bullsh*t

  • I fucking hate decks like Galakrond Priest, decks that don't have a real win condition and are simply Galakrond + synergy and removal cards. It;s like watching football and the one team decides to park the bus. It's so unfun to play against as they just sit there doing nothing but playing removal on curve, as they have enough of it so it doesn't really matter saving them for the right moment.  I rather have tempo DH or face hunter as my opponent, because they still try to do something other than sit back and park the bus. 

    I had the same issue with control warrior of last year, which was essentially 28 removal cards, Dr boom and Archivist Elysiana.

  • Usually i don't reach [Hearthstone Card (Shadderwock) Not Found] turn, because I usually play Aggro.

    But I was playing Odd Warrior and it happened: infinite wocky.

    I closed the game without conceding, leaving my opponent to play on his own.

    And I was wondering: don't you player feel retarded for having to wait several minutes to actually perform your retarded win turn?

  • I just faced 6 Odd DH's in a row... fuck you blizz for buffing twin slice. Do something about Odd DH now!

    • That's funny, I'm playing Odd DH in Wild again and I've run into nothing but control decks: Reno Priest, Reno Mage, whatever. They ALWAYS had Reno Jackson by turn 6 or 7. 

      Meanwhile, I switch to Tempo DH in Standard and I run into three straight Enrage/Control Warriors, who always managed to execute the Risky Skipper-Armorsmith combo just when they're in single-digit health.

      Played 20 games with DH, just won 7 of them. Gaaaaaah I just wanna spam the class for 500 wins, I'm so close just let me have this goddammit

    Stupid fucking cannon, always snipes your support dudes even with like 7 other dudes on board

    Meanwhile I play around my opponent’s divine shield giving dude and my minions are like: “whoops, we almost won that, here let me help you”. And instantly dive bomb that dude. Fuck this gaaaaaaaaamendj

  • Playing Odd DH, fuck me, it's going horrible, but I'm really tryharding before the nerfs.

    But this Rogue just got the most undeserved win ever. What the fuck am I supposed to do with them getting Drywhisker Armorer from Faceless Lackey, and them Shadowstepping it twice on my 5 minion board? 20 armor for 3 cards and 1 mana? As a fucking Pogo Hopper Rogue? At least Reno has the deckbuilding restriction, but this RNG on RNG getting them the perfect card is extremely infuriating.

    Fuck Lackeys.

    Didn't think to play around potion of madness on my 2/2, into the priest's double Nightmare Ysera spells, into double Mind Blast (one copied from my hand & one from my deck), into the 5 damage Ysera spell.

    Went from 24 health to dead against a non-OTK deck that had an empty board. Wow Mr. Reno Steal Priest, I salute your clearly superior skill

  • Wild Quest Mage is just wrong. Why do ppl play this?

  • Why do people defend rez priest so much? Resurrecting the same minion over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over only stopping when they're out of rez cards, and even if you tech in cards that interrupt their rez pool they don't get resurrected. And even if you avoid killing their minions they buff it and inner fire you. What a fun class to play against, i love this game. 2 mana lich king, 4 mana ragnaros. 9 mana summon 6 minions because you summoned a 1/1 version of vargoth at one point this game. Why do people defend this shit. It's more autoplay than any deck. I don't know why people made bots that played pirate warrior when they could just play this. The decision making in this deck is so linear, that a bot could play it without deep learning. it's literally:

     

    "Is minion dead? if yes, play rez card. If no, play buff card."

     

    That's it. That's the deck on autopilot. And i play combo, where you can win even if your opponent is at full health, even if your opponent has a board of 7 minions that always destroy your best minions on deathrattle. The problem is they can buff their minion you can't kill because they'll just keep bringing it back endlessly. So it's basically. You're being raped, do you want it in your front or your ass? Where the front is you killing the minion for them to resummon 7 copies or it the next turn. Or getting fucked in the ass, where they buff the minion and hit you for 16 dmg from the same minion every turn. 

    Why. Do. People. Defend. This. Deck.

  • Ugh, just one of those fucking days when RNG keeps screwing me over. I'm playing Demon Hunter to grind for 500 wins (just 35 more), and I went 1-10 today. Jesus Christ. Here's some of the crazy shit that screwed me over:

    I got a Highlander Paladin to 1 health, he plays Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, and guess what? He got Nozari. Lucky bastard

    I get a Rogue down to 10 health, he plays Wondrous Wand that draws him Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Questing Adventurer, which he balloons up to an 11/11 with taunt from a lackey. 

    I get a Warrior down to 1 health and I'm just topdecking, and I still have several cards that could deal damage in my deck. All I need is one good draw. Instead, I draw shit while my opponent keeps draws consecutive Sword and Board and another Armorsmith that gives him 8 armor, and by the time I draw what I need he's out of lethal range. Goddammit

     

    I hate this game sometimes, I feel like it chooses a day to just screw with you.

    I hate Rez Priest with a passion but nothing is sleazier than a sleazy mill rogue POS!! 

    Edit: I would also like to add that anyone playing that Druid deck where you get 1200 armor is also the scum of the earth.  Thankfully I was playing Warlock and had a lot of healing so I made that scum suffer for as long as I could before dieing to fatigue.

Why are you so fucking dumb and only play the same decks. Is you ego bigger, when you just play Meta and everyone plays the same 70% WR decks from hsreplay? Blizzard, when is your matchmaking finally working, that I don't play every match against these retards and their Metadecks? I don't care if I lose, I couldn't care less about my mf rank but it get's annoying seeing the same decks every match.

  • I just lost 13 games in a row in Standard... At Rank 1 Bronze. Feeling like utter crap at the moment. All I wanted to complete was my 50g "2 victories with any class" quest. Clearly just couldn't bring my A-game today.

    I encountered:

    6x Glowfly Druid

    4x Highlander Hunter (Dragon Package)

    A Plot Twist Warlock, a Highlander Rogue, and a Libram Paladin.

     

    The quest can wait. I'm going to my salty, tear soaked bed. G'night all.

  • Two games in a row: my opponent highlander hunter's transfer student obviously had the discover a dragon effect (which gave him the 2/3 poisonus dragon who discovered alex DQ) and my opponent galakrond rogue's transfer student had add a lackey to your hand who gave my opponent enough tempo to win the game (she even got an 8/8 from evolving miscreant). 

    I can't wait for the new set... What? Transfer student is from the new set? Nevermind then

     

     

  • Already tired of the new expansion. 

    Losing to random bullshit isn't fine, your opponent gk rogue shouldn't win when they don't have anymore cards in hand and are almost in fatigue. But they find a draconic lackey who gives them DQ alex (i swear is the most discovered card against me) so they win i guess; nice deck the first hour of the new expansion by the way.

    Also, how it is possible that in the first hour i played the same druid deck 4 times (in like 7 games i had)? Do people know that if you don't play a tier 1 deck your account will not be erased, your cards will not be disenchanted and a blizzard employee will not come to your house to tell you you suck? 

  • I absolutely hate people who play the same cancerous decks on launch day.

    Sick of Rez Priest. Convincing Infiltrator and Khartut Defender can suck one.

    Why can't it be like the old days, when everybody used to play brand new decks on launch day. Think it was around Ungoro time, when Kripp made a video about how you should play top tier decks on launch day to rank up easily. Since then launch days have been shit IMO.

  • Everytime I play HS on my computer, the game keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes. I can't even begin to think of plays when I'm constantly checking for my internet connection, forcing me to either play everything on my first 5 seconds of every turn or rage for an entire minute before playing everything while roping. Does that increase my chance of misplays? Of course it does, and that pisses me off. So it's a raging snowball, except it's on fire because it's hot as fuck where I live right now.

    Oh, and the constant disconnects? Only happens when playing HS. Not when playing other games, not when browsing the internet, not even when binge watching YouTube.

    PS: After going for 37 packs wthout a legendary in AoO packs (3 away from pity timer, but don't want to spend Scholomance gold), I go 35 pack without opening a legendary on said Scholomance, out of 43. Hell, couldn't even find half the rares I wanted. So, you know, a shit cherry on the shit ice cream that was today.

    Even though these decks are successful, I've rarely played them. No-brain decks are not fun to play, nor are they fun to face.

      I lost a game yesterday against a murloc shaman. Turn eight i coin out Voidlord, finally hoping to stabilize against their board at 9 health. They topdeck devolve, i get the worst possible 8 drop Captain Hooktusk, they hit me in the face, at this point i have 4 health, i have plenty of healing in my deck due to two Aranasi Broodmothers and the 8+ soul shards i have shuffled in there through the course of the game trying to stay ahead of an insane Underbelly Angler turn, and i still haven't played Bloodreaver Gul'dan yet, since it's still in my last 10 cards of my deck. "It's fine i have another Voidlord" i think, i play it. They topdeck their second devolve, hit me in the face again and i die.

    And nothing else. Convincing infiltrator has gone on long enough, and the only reason people defend this shit and the rez mechanic as a whole is because they play it themselves. No deck should be as autopilotted as this one. Aviana was nerfed to 10 mana because of this where you can just autopilot until turn ten while drawing your entire deck and just win. Priest is the same way. With more and more spells for aggro priest, and with more and more rez effects for resummoning convincing ilfiltrator, i ask yet again. When will it be enough for blizzard to nerf this mechanic. 

  • Am I the only one who feels like this expansion is complete shit? I'm about ready to uninstall and be done with HS. This expansion was going to make or break the game after the disaster of AoO. Unfortunately, it broke the game. Am I the only one feeling like this?

  • This expansion is killing me. I've had some of the absolute worst luck in opening packs, 86 so far and only three legendary minions. None of them have been good. I've been messing around for the first week trying to get a feel for what might be good so that I don't waste dust on unnecessary crafts, but man it doesn't feel good to win about 1/3 of my games since the new expansion launched. I'm not a bad player, I'm consistently in platinum/diamond depending on how much time I have to play in a month, I'm just very budget. The best deck I've been able to manage so far is a budget version of the druid deck, i.e. neither of the main legendaries that it typically runs. And Paladin! What a difference an expansion makes! Libram Paladin, according to HSReplay.net has zero bad match-ups. The worst win rate is essentially a 50/50 against aggro demon hunter and murloc paladin, maybe you can throw highlander mage in there and call it a close match as well. This is just a demoralizing time in HS for me. Bleck.

  • I started playing some odd paladin as it got quite a few new cards this expansion.

    Oh no, I run into not one but two people playing odd warrior. I haven't seen odd warrior for ages. I swear this match making is rigged.

    Everytime I think to queue a deck i haven't played for a while i queue into its exact counter.

  • Used to be on Hearthpwn, only recently back into Hearthstone and started LoR. Just played my first game of PVP in LoR and already got BM'd with thinking emotes and then my opponent went ahead and played everything they had on their lethal turn. All I have to say to this individual and their ilk is that you are honestly the worst type of card game player and what makes these games feel so toxic and offputting at times. You literally couldn't help your drive to toxicity even though you were clearly an experienced player with a netdeck that should have recognized a beginner using a basic deck. You could have won with just 1 Overwhelm attack, but you played your entire hand and fostered toxicity in a game that really should be devoid of it. I hope players like you don't drive other new players away from a relatively new game with a lot of potential. You didn't drive me away, but man, I hope people like you are few and far between because this game will fail if the community turns into a Hearthstone 2.0 community.

  • Man, my pack luck has been abysmal for the past 3 expansions. I get the 50 pack pre-purchase every time, and three times now I only get 2 legendaries from those, none golden, and also no golden epics. I spend over 400 euros on HS this last year and it still feels I have to craft every good legendary and epic. My last opened golden Legendary is from over 2 years ago, which is weird because I see streamers open them regularly. Bad luck streaks exist but 3 expansions in a row is making me salty every time I open packs. Luckily I still enjoy playing.

  • I just played a 40-minute game against this Suicide Warlock who kept roping the entire game. He always waited until the rope was halfway through before making his move, and I got pissed off by turn 4 that I started roping him too. It wasn't until turn 10 when he decided to stop screwing around, but he still took his time.

    I did end up winning the game (pretty satisfying too, he got me down to 6 health but I was able to armor up and he drew like 3 consecutive bombs and suiciding with two Crazed Netherwings), but man, what a WASTE OF TIME. I hope I wasted that idiot's time too and made him feel bad that I beat his ass at his own game. 

  • I seriously fucking hate ropers. I was to play a quickie with a fast deck at the toilet before going to work, ended up being a 20-minute snoozefest against a priest who roped almost every turn. Still had a chance of winning so I played to the end, just to waste his time as well.

      On casual, I just auto-concede. 

      My 2nd most tilting deck playing against is casino mage. No way to play around anything. Just hope they don't generate anything good.

      No cards on hand, draw a generate spell -> generate a draw spell -> draw a generate spell -> cast burn spells and AOE generated. Ugh.

      Give me brain dead aggro any day any time over these 2 above. Heck I'd even rather lose to a high rolling druid.

Like the diversity in matches is just absolute trash, its all mages and priests then at 2 losses you see a rare Paladin appear with like 5 blessings of a’dal and still get absolutely stomped by 1 mind control.

  • Hey Hearthstone, I'm Silver #10. Why do you insist on matching me with other players with legendary cardbacks who play nothing but Reno Priest and Darkglare Warlock? And why do they draw like the nuts?

    Also: Playing Darkglare into Explosive Runes gives you the 2 Mana Refresh. Bet my opponent knew that when they played into the trap in round 4 with 4 mana available and could immediately play the other Darkglare they had in their hand with the refresh.

  • The decline of this game is directly linked with the singleton archetype and neutral legendaries like siamat that have no place in any deck and are just there for situational filler. That are just there to pad out a deck with no real purpose something normally done, but entirely overrun in singleton decks. It's the wild deckbuilding style of just putting legendaries into your deck just because you have them. No thought, no synergy, just out it in because its gold. And every expansion we get more, legendaries that just powercreep cards from the classic set and people see them as autoincludes just for that. Its lazy. All it does it make people craft legendaries that have no purpose.

  • Ugh, I just lost a marathon match to this fucking Control Priest. He managed to get back like 10+ Wandmakers and Cobalt Spellkins from various discover cards and Raise Dead, which kept giving him Renew and [Hearthstone Card (Wave of Apath) Not Found]y that healed him up and negated whatever board damage I had. I was playing Soul DH so I had limited amount of damage, but I was still able to get him down to 3 health. Of course, he kept healing himself back up. 

    Good game from my opponent, but if I ever see him in person I'm gonna beat him until his legs don't work anymore. That loss started a 4-game losing streak for me when I was 2 stars away from legend, now I'm back at Diamond 3.

  • I cannot fathom why people bring Raza/Rez Priest, Pogo/Mill Rogue, Big/Demon/Cube Warlock, Jade/Aviana/Togwaggle/Maly Druid, and Quest Mage into CASUAL Wild when I'm just BS'ing around with some dumb Homebrew decks.

    What is the point? I know they're not practicing piloting the decks since they seem to be VERY proficient at winning with them, they're not earning wins towards golden heroes, so why??

      The point is that there isn't a unit that singlehandedly wins you games. Even if you get Kalecgos "on curve" you still need other dragons and a rather solid board that allows you to transition into full Battlecry spam mode without losing most of your health.

      Kalecgos on 9 is not slow, but it takes more than just slam it on the board and wait for obscene rolls.

      I think it counts as a game after turn 10 or when you’re at <16 health. But yes, it can still feel like forever in the wrong match.

  • Standard is now teeming with Face Hunters, Tempo Mages, Paladins, and a smattering of Priests. I played a lot yesterday and these were the only classes I faced. 

    I just have to say, any person who plays Face Hunter deserves a huge slap to the face.

      at very least face hunter sticks to the game plan.

      Against mage, the only game plan is to pray to rnjesus. 3x solarian prime not enough? How about a discovered puzzle box to go with that? Still no? Evocations and plenty of mana cyclones to go about. And you freezed your opponent's board for the nth time this game. Oh yes.

      If face hunter and soul dhunters tend to keep those fuckers at bay, then they're always welcomed on my boat.

  • Yesterday i thought i had 3 quests so i started the game, but i've found that i only had 2 quest. 

    I was very very very happy that i didn't have to play the game, this tells a lot about the state of the game.

  • "Hey let's play some dual class arena". I got Mage with Priest HP, a pretty decent deck and i went 3-2, not that bad, and i had nothing to complain about.. until that last match...

    I faced a Hunter with Shaman HP, after a LONG game that lasted to fatigue. I got him finally down to 1 health, but then he got a random Lord Jaraxxus from the Bandersmosh he drew 1 turn earlier. My last chance to win was to hit a lucky RNG roll on Devolving Missiles, which MIGHT have been enough to lower the damage to my face from his minions + fatigue to live 1 more turn. The opponents board was: 2 totems (healing & spell dmg), 1 6/6 demon from his HP, and a rng Riftcleaver that he somehow got. ALL my Devolving Missiles hit his totems.... he had exact lethal after that missiles, despite me healing my face. Oh well that was my free ticket from not finishing my arena run prior to the event.. but still, this really annoyed me...

  • Raza Priest is one of the most retarded decks ever! It's just frustrating how much damage Priest is able to deal. 0 cost hp, refreshes after every card played. Big Brain design.

  • Can Blizzard just change the fucking damage system in Battlegrounds already? By turn 10 over half the lobby is dead and the actual decision making only really starts around turn 5/6, which means that every game half the players only get to play for about 5 turns. It's been like that for months for god's sake.

    Reduce token damage to 0, increase hero health, reduce minion damage to 1 while reducing hero health to compensate, make the first couple turns against bots so you get to safely build up your starting comp, whatever JUST DO SOMETHING BLIZZARD OR AT LEAST GIVE US AN UPDATE ON WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

     

    Edit: Ah great I just went 7th in a game with one of the strongest builds I've ever had at that point in the game just because I kept losing matches where I had <20% chance to lose. Fuck this shit.

My opponent plays 2 thoughtsteals and a psychic conjurer, all 3 times it hits the Fire Elemental (best card in the deck), and my Hex TWICE. I STILL HAVE 15 OTHER MORE USELESS AND BAD CARDS, BUT NOPE.   • I had a really good win streak in Wild tonight, climbing from Diamond 9 to 6 with only 3 losses. I decided to call it quits and have some fun in standard before going to bed. 

    Big Demon Warlock was my deck of choice. First opponent: Face Hunter. I managed to stabilize at 6 Health with a huge Taunt online, 7 (!) minions on board and threatening lethal. My opponent's board and hand were empty, with only an Eaglehorn Bow equipped. He proceeds to top deck Dragonbane, HP, kill me with the dragonbane effect and emote "Thank you."

    In my second game I got screwed by a Priest beating me with a mixture of stealing my cards & my minions and random card generation madness.

    So much for fun in Standard.

    It's fine i think, since i have the double battlecries treasure and a Shadowlight Scholar in hand, and since i had previously played a Spirit Jailer and had only drawn ONE of the soul fragments, i figured it would be an easy win. But when i play the Shadowlight Scholar, it only does three damage, not the six it should have done. I end my turn because i can't do shit against 2 lich kings and he plays Anti-Magic Shell instantly BTFO-ing me from a previously one-sided game where i had close to full health(he hit me twice in the face with his treasure weapon).

            The game ended on turn 8, i was absolutely positive i only drew one soul fragment the entire game, because i had full health for most of it, and it's memorable to me when i draw those when at full health.

  • I'm sick of this Diamond 1 hurdle that I just can't overcome this season. Every time I'm one star away from reaching Diamond 1, I end up losing. I've failed like 5 times already. SO FRUSTRATING.

  • If you haven't noticed yet. For SOME REASON when you die to new c'thun from full health because your rogue opponent is a lucky piece of human trash. You can't concede. You are forced to watch the entire animation, from start to finish before the game lets you leave.

  • Can I just say I HATE the From the Swamp passive treasure? Just trying to play Elemental Mage and BOOM! a ton of Bloated Zombies come out of nowhere and pound me into the ground. I'm glad they're fixing that. Also, I'm somewhat annoyed at Discolock Willow players, ESPECIALLY ones with Killmox, the Banished One. Just going on my way and BAM! Killmox arrives, heals Willow back to full, and murders me the turn after. I also don't get that you need cards to unlock the Hero Powers and stuff.

    Apparently you don't need to buy any new expansion packs. Just killing the fun of the first 48hrs of a new expansion. Hope you enjoy your pointless grind instead of enjoying some new decks to experiment with.

  • Game under control, preventing opponent from evolve shenanigans and boom, Internet decides to disconnect itself from Hearthstone. Not the computer, I was never disconnected, just Hearthstone.

    Whether you dislike facing aggro, facing control, facing Priest, Librams, "fun and interactive combos" or whatever highroll your opponent has, nothing will ever be as frustrating as random connection issues midgame when said game was in the bag.

  • Great, just played against spell priest that somehow played 3 Yogg-Saron, Master of Fates in a game. Not complaining about our lord and savior yogg, i love the yoggs! BUT I HATE that they don't fix the "your game crashes when your opponent plays Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate" bug. I had to restart the game 3 TIMES for a SINGLE game against PRIEST. This is just super frustrating... WHY DON'T THEY FIX IT? Pretty sure it's supposed to be a simple hot fix?!?!? I have lost so many games because i can't reconnect to the game because i crashed from that bug, and the reconnect thing often takes so long that the game often thinks you ragequit and gives your opponent the win... What is taking them so LONG to fix a major bug with one of THE most played/popular cards of the new expansion?

    *Btw i did lose that game, because my opponent got 2 free turns after each yogg because it kept taking a long time until i got back into the game. Pretty sure that priest must have thought i was roping on purpose or something, which makes me ALMOST feel bad. Luckely they were playing priest so their used to roping others.

      I have the same problem for a different reason. I played very little Hearthstone (besides BG's) this year so I don't have a lot of the current standard cards and I have always preferred wild anyway, and because of that I have almost no interest in playing Demon Hunter. But of course after exactly 39 packs with no legendaries I just had to open Il'gynoth in the 40th pack. To me Demon Hunter is just another reason why Hearthstone is becoming more expensive, because it's just there to lower the chances of you getting the cards you actually want.

      Even worse for me, I got a quest that says: “Play 10 Old Gods from the Darkmoon Faire”. Literally can’t complete the quest unless I shill out 1600 dust. Fun

  • Why I almost never play ranked? Because even the slightest lack of concentration makes me fuck up royally. Yesterday I wanted to play a few games just before bedtime to maybe gain some more season rewards, first game I forgot I had the Rogue weapon equipped and left out a 1/1 token that got buffed next turn. Still won with 2 hp left somehow.

    Then my tiredness really made itself known. Vs Hunter I coined ut Plagiarize on T1 because I thought it was Swindle I had in hand (no other sensible plays on T1-2 in hand). Next, already on T3 I thought Blackjack Stunner was a combo card and not secret-triggered, and played it without effect. Yes I lost and I deserved it. Bye bye ladder for  now...

  • Reach level 25, gets fkn Deck of Chaos as random legendary. Anyone have a decklist for me? 

    EDIT: Checked out hsreplay for inspiration. This magnificent beast of card is played in 0,4% of decks and has a deck winrate of 37,8%. Zero decks to check out. I feel even worse now. But at least my copies of Fel Lord Betrug and Archwitch Willow have some company now.

  • I am 1-1 in Arena and this dude deadass drops 7 Scrap Imps back to back from turn 1. Needless to say, I cannot deal with 10/10 taunts for 2 mana. Doesn’t help that he topdecks School Spirits to clear my board sfter barely hanging in there :^))))

  • Ah yes, just made a fun but kind of memey wild deck. My first three games are against token druid, token druid and the luckiest secret mage I have ever seen. Fuck me I hate people sometimes.

  • It's kind of shocking that there haven't been any nerfs announced yet. The meta is incredibly imbalanced right now: Demon Hunter has two of the strongest decks in Aggro DH and Soul DH, with Control Warrior as their only reliable counter. Highlander/Face Hunter and Pure Paladin are the only other classes that can conceivably win in this meta. Shamans seem to have curiously dwindled, I haven't faced many Evolve Shamans over the past few days. 

    What's worse is that the highlights of the new expansions aren't even making an appearance in the meta. The new Old Gods are impossible to play because of how slow they are, and the shiny new legendaries that people were hyped about during card reveals (Tickatus, The Nameless One, High Exarch Yrel, etc.) haven't really had an impact as well. 

    What are the devs waiting for? DH needs to be scaled back significantly since according to the latest VS report, there are four dead classes right now (Druid, Mage, Warlock, Priest) since they can't keep up with DH's power. As if the battle pass uproar isn't enough, this imbalanced meta is driving people away from the game even more. My friends list has been dead for days now, very few are logging in...

  • I logged onto hearthstone an hour ago to do the tavern brawl, played it six times. 5 demon hunter opponents all curving out on me kicking my ass with deathrattles like Waxadred, Cairne Bloodhoof, Sylvanas Windrunner, Astromancer Solarian and Mechanical Whelp meanwhile i get Mindflayer Kaahrj and Murloc Tastyfin multiple times a game and no that's not a joke or overexaggeration it literally happened. I should have just got my one win and not played anymore. What a game where demon hunter is even busted in tavern brawl. And by the way they always have Consume Magic in their deck. So don't even bother even if you get a good deathrattle for once.

        I kind of expected that, but I was hopeful it was actually just a bug and not something as infuriatingly stupid as designing a keyword and forcing us to not utilize said keyword to its fullest potential. 

  • I´ve never posted here, because I´m normally very calm and possitive person, but today I´m just pissed and need to went a bit. I´m trying to do this stupid achievement with 10/10 Redeemed Pariah for a loong time now. Just today I thought I finally might get lucky. I´ve managed to play two Redeemed Pariahs in Casual Duels, traded one and tried to buff the other. I didn´t attack with it for three rounds and opponent Warrior seemed to understand and let it live. I was like YAY finally I´ll get the achievement done! I was ready to concede the next turn when I´d get him to 10. But no. My opponent suddenly changed his mind when my Redeemed Pariah was just about 9 attack and he killed it. No words. What´s wrong with you people?

  • This is how busted Aggro Demon Hunter is: I was playing a Bomb Warrior deck and for the first 7 turns, I drew nothing but my removal tools (Sword and Board, Minefield, Brawl, Bladestorm, Coerce, Deathwing, Mad Aspect) so I was able to prevent my opponent from gaining any tempo whatsoever. Whenever he played a minion, I killed it. When he dropped 3-4 minions, I just Brawl-ed or Bladestorm-ed it away. I made it past turn 7 and he only had 1 card in his hand from that point on, so that should mean I've stabilized. Most aggro decks would be out of gas and just concede by that point. 

    Except my opponent STILL almost beat me. He got me down to as low as 3 health (granted, I had to trade off his minions with my face at times), and I only survived because my Deathwing, Mad Aspect managed to stay on the board for 3 turns. If it wasn't for that, my opponent would've eventually drawn enough damage to kill me with. 

    Aggro Demon Hunter is just so strong that it sometimes doesn't even matter if you draw your removal tools just when you need them. I played and drew my cards as perfectly as could be expected against an aggro deck, and it almost wasn't enough. It just seems like there's no surviving against this deck unless you either a) armor up with the Risky Skipper + Armorsmith combo, which is busted as well, or b) you somehow manage to kill him first. The deck just has so much draw and damage that it's not even funny. 

     

  • So I made a Highlander Mage deck and tried it out in Ranked. 

    Guess what I faced? Three straight Shamans that all had Custodian on 2, with the weapon equipped by turn 4 or 5. 

    Game over after that, of course. 

    Fuck Shamans. Anyone playing that braindead deck is a fucking degenerate. 

  • The only thing more annoying than facing netdecking demon hunters and singleton hunters over and over and over and over and over, is facing netdecking demon hunters and hunters that think they're not a smooth brain because they took out a card from the netdeck and they play c'thun or some other dumb shit. 

     

    It reminds me of when i fought a rogue in RoS and they're netdecked lackey shit rogue had face collector in it. haha it's the same deck but it has face collector isn't that wackey. I'm totally original even though the other 29 cards every other person playing my class is using.

     

    If you netdeck just netdeck, don't pretend you're better than that just because you decide to slot a "fun card" into your deck because just playing the deck you got from google would be too unoriginal for you.

  • Why do I keep playing this game? 70% of the time it only brings me misery. I suffered a 9-game losing streak today and I just feel terrible. 

    Honestly, I think I hate this game and the only reason I keep playing it is because I hate myself equally and this is my way of punishing myself. Fml

  • The only XP-giving achievement I'm missing is the perfect duels run.

    I'm playing casual duels. The other day I managed to assemble a near perfect hunter deathrattle deck. I faced the same guy 3 times in a row starting at a 9-0 record. He managed to beat me the third time so I could advance to the final mage boss whom I easily defeated only to get a 12-1 run.

    Thanks man for ruining my perfect run.

  • I wish they would nerf card draw. Card draw is completely busted for some classes and those classes have been good for a while (demon hunter, rogue, warrior) and the classes with the worst card draw struggle (mage, priest). I think it is no surprise that shaman massively improved after the addition of card draw (Cagematch Custodian).

  • So when does Blizzards excellent matchmaking based on MMR finally work?

    I am currently at 40% WR and all I am facing is Meta decks? Are these players so bad that they face me and my casual and meme decks? I am tiered of facing secret mages, token druids, odd pala, raza and big priest.... 

    It takes all the fun out of the game and for casual gaming we get no rewards, so Blizzard is forcing to play ranked.

  • An 8/8 Edwin VanCleef for my opponent on turn 2. He accomplished this by playing Foxy Fraud then Shadowstepping it, so he actually had 11/10 stats on board by turn 2.

    Dear Lord, I can't wait for Edwin to be HOF'd in the next standard rotation...

    I just finished off works and thought why not start some ranked plays in Hearthstone. Lost 11 games in a row with Mages. back to D5.
    Heck, quit Hearthstone and turn on RDR 2. Lost a ~$1000 favorite horse on a bridge, while also got killed. Can't load because the latest autosave immediately overwrite save game.

    Also don't rub salt in the wound by re-rolling my battlegrounds quest into an "easier" battlegrounds quest. I'm still not playing it.

      I don't blame you, getting bg quests is really stupid. especially when the reroll is into another bg quest

  • This time I didn't get one, but two stupid battlegrounds weekly quests. Ugh.

    To add insult to injury, I got screwed by animations in Ranked of all places. My opponent had played a weird Spell Damage Druid and was happily milling himself to death with two Auctioneers in play. My problem was that they had managed to reduce my Health a lot and clear my board. So let's roll with Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate! And sure enough, Yogg gave me a game-winning solution with Curse of Flesh. But lo and behold, one of the summoned minions was Nozdormu. My turn was over when Yogg's wheel stopped spinning and I lost the game.

    • Nozdormu is such a dumb card the devs keep ignoring for some reason.

      I really wish they'd just change its effect...

  • Is there some button to get to the last page of this thread?

    Not wanting to be salty, but as I start clicking towards page 44 I get this great urge to make a write up in a salt thread about how stupid not having an "end of thread" button is.

  • Look, I really want to play Wild regularly. I've crafted some of the important cards needed for the mode. But really, 90% of the decks I face are absolutely triggering or just plain broken that the whole experience just deflates me.

    I played a few games in Wild today, and here's the decks I faced, in order: Secret Mage, Secret Mage, Big Priest, Reno Warlock, Even Shaman, Secret Mage, Secret Mage, Reno Priest, Secret Mage, Reno Priest, Secret Mage. The other day wasn't any better. 

    Seriously, I wanna clock in the head anyone who says Wild is a much more fun mode than Standard. You're full of sh*t. There's even less variety in Wild than there is in Standard, and there's way more decks that will leave you salty and helpless. F*ck Wild.
