Doesn't seem too hard to trigger and the statline is solid enough. The fact that it has Taunt makes it even better. Should see experimentation.
I suspect that this will see play in some tier 2 or 3 mid range deck. Solid card.
If you handbuff this it can be pretty nuts but even without buffs its still good but Warrior has a ton of options.
Banned for spamming.
This card seems good. With Kazakus being back, there's a possibility of some MSoG handbuffs also returning, making these even more powerful. Also really good on curve with Sword Eater.
will find a place in a specific that wants to use weapon synergies
Very warrior. Lots of taunts and weapons.
Nice, even better with hand buffs)
Great card.
So this is an example of a "fair card". The stats to mana ratio alone are underwhelming, but most times, you wanting 5 mana with 8/8 in stats. The fact that it has taunt makes it all the more better. Also remember cards like Feat of Strength were released in DMF... (on 2nd thought, it still won't see much play 😅)
Edit: Knowing Blizzard, they'll have an achievement for this card where you need to buff it's stats using cards like Feat of Strength
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Taunt handbuff archetype should get more support, this card teases it.
OBLIVION!
I mean....this card is pretty okay at best. Even if you buff it in hand you're not gonna blow anyone's mind with this. It isn't insanely weak or insanely strong. It is just sorta there.
Attack is the best defense here! Will see little play tho... But I like it nevertheless
I think itas pretty shity. U can realy easy get second copy but do you want it. I dont know why would you play it but i'm probably wrong
Mor'shan Elite looks like a nice defensive tool for a Control Warrior. It compares favorably with Barricade as, for one more mana, you get two four-health bodies that trade better. This also an on-curve follow up to Sword Eater or Reaper's Scythe. This also doesn't have the empty board restriction of Barricade. I think this makes a lot of sense in a Control Warrior that runs C'Thun, the Shattered or has enough armor gain to support the Silas Darkmoon combo.
For glory, honor, and gold!
This looks great in control warrior .Maybe we could get some more weapon support this expansion and weapon warrior could be a thing .
This cost just one more than Saronite Chain Gang which saw play and has a way better stat line. The condition is not to hard to met. It's compareable to Occult Conjurer and Sorcerous Substitute. The first one sees play, the second doesn't. That means 4 mana is the "okay" spot for copy minions, 6 mana is to late. This lies in between but has taunt. So it could be alright.
Good card, could see play in either a midrange or control deck.
Don't think warrior players will have a problem pulling it off to get two of them. Enough cheap weapons
I'm not online it's just your imagination
This and Feat of Strength is scary.
Disclaimer: if the above is factually incorrect or complete rubbish it is definitely both intentional and comedy genius.
Very good card - i think this will see more play then expected.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
seems pretty good, turn four 4 mana pirate then this bumm, solid board
So this is just really damn strong for absolutely no reason.
If Warrior has a good enough win condition then Ooze will be mandatory again unless you want to just give up the tempo game by turn 5.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
good card for Odd warrior
Not bad, combo's great with handbuff. Reminds me of Occult Conjurer, so this is probably great in the right deck.
Curves perfectly into Sword Eater, is 18/18 worth of stats if you manage to buff it with Feat of Strength. Good card with great potential.
Old nice taunt warrior
Will definitely see play
How did this RoS card get here?
i like this effect!
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
Midrange warrior is not really a thing though and it’s probably not impactful enough for control (even though the taunt is great to stop Aggro!)
How about an aggressive weapon warrior? This could be great to snowball games
Winner winner chicken dinner
Warrior has handbuff and taunt buff, this will easily be a 6/6 for 5 what is good by itself but if you have a weapon it can be game against aggro.
Murlocs <3
It is pretty much an easier to trigger Occult Conjurer for Warrior but costing one more mana and with taunt. The fact that it costs exactly 1 more mana than Sword Eater tells you that everyone will try to play this card for this sweet sweet curve.
Honestly I'm pretty sure the pose of this Elite is pretty bad for a fight, he's wide open...
Since we have Sword Eater and Reaper's Scythe, Mor'shan Elite is a nice follow up. I don't think we want put Feat of Strength or other hand-buff card just for Mor'shan Elite, but i think it's ok wihtout it.
I do not think this will be good enough to see play. I will use it though!
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Turn 5 18/18. Balanced
Banned for spamming.
I like this.
Control odd warrior.
Hello there.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
Easy to trigger, solid stats for cost, and really interesting if they provide any more handbuff tools. All around, pretty good.
Solid card. Easy to trigger
Really solid card right here! Easy to activate, lots of stats (even more if you buff it in hand).
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Would be great with quest that leaves standard
-=alfi=-
Control Warrior is back!?
Seems quite good, effect is easy to trigger in warrior, and it is also good with handbuffing. But that said, handbuffing is one of the worst mechanics in HS in terms of winrate, and Armagedillo is rotating. I'm guessing it's going to see play in some control deck, and maybe a midrange warrior deck. Actually weapon warrior might also use it. 5 mana 8/8 with taunt is not something you should ever underestimate, that's a pretty big stat bomb. And it also fit's very well on curve after a turn 4 Sword Eater.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Nice one!
Artwork is good. Stats seem meh. I would like to see it at 5 health instead of 4, but then again, it is easy to trigger, so I think this will see play
Swordeater on 4. This on 5. Beautiful.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
I think it's all about warriors nature, attack with weapons and defend with shields
I don't have much to say other than that this is a solid card, with Taunt to boot. It'll definitely find a great home in wild Taunt/Quest Warrior, and I'm sure it'll feature relatively much in the standard meta too.
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
On the one hand, this card can absolutely be bonkers with Feat of Strength, on the other, its just a decent if unimpressive card without the buff.
My gut instinct is that there would be a place somewhere for this card to exist comfortably; maybe there's some kind of Armagedillo effect in barrens that is yet to be revealed.
Seems solid, there are plenty of weapons on turn 3 or 4 in warrior
I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And even though it is impossible I exist. ©Trimutius
I like it. I don't think it's incredible, but it's a cool card with a lot of potential depending on what support is released.
Meh kind of effect. We saw near the same thing with shaman but with spells. I think warrior will use it to better results but still there are better things to be doing bthan just another 4/4
good for taunt warrior in wild
Rogue DH
Maybe good
Seems pretty good for control and midrange. Taunt warrior is back?
couple 4/4 taunts with 5 mana not bad value at all if you ask me :)
I think this will see play. This is curves perfectly with Sword Eater or [Hearthstone Card (wrenchcalliber) Not Found], and side from those warrior has plenty of good weapons. In the right deck I think this should be fairly easy to trigger.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I wish this was a pirate mech or dragon or something. Ringmaster's Baton decks would love this. but this is still a good or even maybe a meta defining card after all.
interesting for taunt /buff warrior icm cheap weapon
Seems okay, not OP. Control warrior could use this, but control warrior isn't in a very strong spot atm.
I don't think this will be buffed, the card itself it's just good enough. Too bad it doesn't have a minion type for menagerie warrior.
Amazing! Control warrior likes it!!!
Solid card that can fit in most warrior decks. Better if it can be reliably buffed, but putting out two decent taunt bodies in the mid-game seems like a nice thing for control warriors .
I think we will see this card around. Warriors attack. A lot. More than most other classes. I see this as a fantastic control card to stop up/slow down opponents and even threaten in the right situation.
Curves insanely well with Sword Eater, I could see this card working in a very wide variety of Warrior decks.
With the handbuff that warrior has, this has a lot of potential
Seems too slow to play but will pop up here and there in some warrior decks
Almost a copy-paste of Occult Conjurer, which has been extremely strong in Secret Mage, and this guy is arguably better, even considering the cost increase.
It seems a little unfair that this one gives two Taunt minions for just one more mana, with a slightly easier condition to meet. This will be in nearly every Warrior deck, whereas its Mage counterpart is good only for one very narrow archetype.
this should be a great tool as a defensive minion in any bomb warrior in wild or both quests (have my doubts about the quest)
I think this will see the play in a lot of Warrior decks, Warrior has no problem to attack with or without a weapon at all.
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
curves perfectly from sword eater for ur midrange/anti-aggro dream.
5 mana 8/8 with Taunt? Not as good as our beloved 3 Mana 8/8, but not bad. Should be pretty easy to proc the effect.
This is a pretty good card and even better as others have pointed out that with hand buffs it will be even better.
Good baseline, easy to achieve effect, should see a fair amount of play as long as 4/5s are infesting the metagame.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
I think this will be experimented with in Pirate Warrior in Wild, but won't stick in the list. The cost is higher and the condition less reliably met than Occult Conjurer, which is a card most Secret Mage builds only run one of.
Curves nicely from Sword Eater. I expect warrior to have no problems triggering the effect.
Weapon Taunt Warrior meta with 4-mana support.
Good card for Warrior, weapon condition is pretty easy
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
Amazing on curve with the 2/5 pirate (sword eater).
It can trigger multiple times in the same turn if a warrior plays a weapon that allows for multiple attacks. That seems pretty good.
Ribbit
Play this right after Sword Eater.
You beat me to it, word for word, at least the 7 first words - for the rest, I would have took different phrasing, but the bottom line would have been the same - thanks for posting so quickly :)
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Crystal Stag called.
You won't always have a weapon but the card seems... alright for the most part.
Potentially very nice
Those are some great observations. You are right. Midrange warrior is not really a thing. Aggressive weapon warrior is probably where we will see this get any play. Too bad it's not a pirate.
Not as consistent as Saronite Chain Gang in Wild, but solid.
I like this card. Pretty simple to meet the conditional requirement. I guess the only real question is to the existence of a deck that is trying to do what this card helps accomplish.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I'm into it
I've been here a while; just hanging out in the background.
Warrior have 4 mana weapons, so can activate the effect on curve, and if you can handbuff it it's a huge tempo swing.
By The Holy Light!
Amazing value especially in arena.
Good card for Control Warrior.
brutally good with on curve sword eater
Very good card.
At this point I have spent too much money on these games to quit.
Now pass me another pack, and lets see what I pull.
i think this fights for a spot in some warrior decks
good card
Kenny's little poet. 😇
Lots of synergy in standard with weapons, handbuff potential, and Taunt for board impact. Definitely will see play.
Honestly, meh card. Doesn't do much for 5 mana and condition.
A good card, maybe the handbuff warrior will finally see play!
Looks like we're seeing the return of handbuff warrior
4 Mana 7/7
Weapon warrior insta pick
First impression is this works best in a hand buff, weapon centric warrior.
Base line is 8/8 worth of stats for 5 mana across 2 bodies with taunt. Not bad in iteself (fair value).
However, If handbuffing strats work, this has a lot of potential for a board swing.
Realy great for a warriror
Good when barricade is not enough!
For The HORDE!
Easy to activate and nice stated, pretty good
Easy include in a control warrior.
nice defensive tool with easy trigger, also 5 mana 8/8 in stats
With Sword Eater, Reaper's Scythe, and the new Outrider's Axe all being 4 mana weapons I can't imagine this not being amazing. Also very interesting with Bulk Up.
Arena > Wild > Standard
good
Good stats for a Control or Midrange Warrior, with plenty of ways to curve a Weapon into playing him on 5. The new card-draw Weapon looks like it can play really well with this, and I think there's a really good chance that this makes the cut in a number of decks.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Nice one, mid decks love it
All Warrior decks run weapons, so this card will see a lot of play given how good and easy to set up it is
Slots perfectly on curve after Sword Eater or the new 4-mana weapon.
Hand buff 💪
Insane card. I don't see a world where you struggle to activate it and if you want to get greedy and use hand buffing, it only becomes better.
Warrior probably doens't like attacking enough for this to be good
Hello taunt warrior. Easy condition to maximize it's value.
doesn't feel strong enough to make the cut
Summoning a copy immediately interests me, since they've roped me in with the idea of a handbuff Warrior. Could be good.
Welcome to the site!
With the hand buff cards that are coming I'm hoping that this is more than just a 4/4 most of the time, but even if it is it's still decent value with the battlecry, which isn't too difficult to activate.
Sweet target for handbuffs.
Handbuff pay off. Very nice. Even without a buff it's still a good play. Will see use.
