Must craft, if only for the beard!
That is a 3 mana 2/5 that can instantly win you the board if you have anything sticking or happen to run Animated Broomstick.
I was worried about the potential state of Hunter before but now...now things are really looking up.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Seems good. Mana cheating & thinning the deck.
wow this card has great potential, requires a little deck building but definetly gonna make some hunter decks great
In an ideal world: With a rush in play, summon a rush beast that summons a rush beast that summons a rush beast...
Really good card.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
Oh man can beast hunter be a thing now after so many expansions. For King Krush you need a 10 mana minions plus the Handsome beard man to stick on the board .Also we have frenzy so you can put some beasts in you deck and the get one out .This can be powerfull now or in the future .Me really like
Really good card, removing cheap minions you haven't drawn from the deck and creating a board is great.
Interesting with Tame Beast (Rank 3) Into Trampling Rhino into Mok'Nathal Lion into Zixor, Apex Predator into 2 drop (if you draw any beasts too early you can always reshuffle with Dire Frenzy which is in core)

This and lots of rush beasts is very scary.
Disclaimer: if the above is factually incorrect or complete rubbish it is definitely both intentional and comedy genius.
Actually bonkers. Already good enough when it pulls 1 minion, and it allows for a rush chain giving you crazy value and deck thinning.
Beast Hunter?
There is so much you can do with this card, it will be interesting the kinds of decks people come up with.
I imagine you could build a deck where every beast in your deck has rush or charge so you can play a single beast and end up summoning a full board. Also, Snowflipper Penguin in wild may finally have a home.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Interesting card. Will be quite strong with rush minions. He can fill up your board quick. Very cool design. Will find a home somewhere for sure.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
Deck thinning, but depends what beasts we will have
-=alfi=-
It looks strong but who cares, this dwarf is glorious.
Another good card for beast hunter
Ribbit
Always have enjoyed playing beast hunter. Maybe this makes it more viable.
Really nice card. Blizzard seems to want to push Beast Hunter this XP
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
In an ideal world, this card would be good. I don't see this being played however.
Nice. Some draw, beasts, beard. Grab a few beers and let's party!
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
crazy potential! especially with the new hunter ranked spell.
So, in wild Dinotamer Brann will cost seven mana, so, if you spend all your mana, you can have TWO dwarfs with fluffy red beards!
So, King Krush into Charged Devilsaur into Amani War Bear into ... any six cost beast! sadly none of them have rush.
one of the worst Legendary ...
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
The card seems to have a lot of potential, but the question is: imagine you attack with a 5 mana beast and you don't have a 4 mana beast in your deck, will Tavish Stormpike search for a 3 mana beast or will he fizzle out?
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
It needs a deck built around but I think it has a lot of potential
Banned for spamming.
I like it. I want it to work. May require careful deck-building (or you want to draw & play early) though, as I presume if you don't have a beast that costs (1) less than whatever attacks, you get nothing. Certainly the type of card that is fun to tinker with...
Hmm not quite sure about this card. It seems really good for thinning out your deck, and hunters use Tracking for that currently. And considering Tracking is being reworked, Tavish Stormpike can now do old-Trackings job of thinning out the deck. HOWEVER i still am not sure about all the stuff you can do with it, it might be too easy to remove or too hard to benefit from it early into the game.
BUT the ONE thing everyone can agree is, is that he has one glorious beard.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
We know that 3 mana minions with 5 health can be problematic...
Sweet but not game breaking. Maybe in some fun decks.

It will fizzle. Otherwise they would have written "at least (1) less."
I would give this 6 star if it was possible.
Dire Frenzy is on its way. There should be a Midrange Beast Hunter deck that this card will fit.
OBLIVION!
B E A S T S! It feels like you'll need to have plenty of Rush Beasts to really make use of Tavish, though. He may survive one turn to let any of your Beasts attack, but he's a priority target.
That is a SPICY card! Hunter has plenty of Rush minions that can quickly swarm the board with stuff from your deck. Dire Frenzy some decent 2-cost Beast and any 1/1 Rush Beast tokens can start refilling the board!
swarming the board is always good for hunter. will definitely get some palce in a deck
You would almost never play it early in the game or expect it to stick. You need to wait until:
When you have a powerful card that is part of a combo or has other conditions to meet, it is usually far more important to wait for guaranteed value than to play on curve.
Seems pretty nice.
I guess it depends on how many Rush beasts we'll have, but getting 1 or 2 cards from this should be real good tempo. 5 health for 3 mana is also quite chunky.
Btw: Just think about how crazy this could have been with Tundra Rhino!

I love this effect if you have 2 beasts on table and play this, you will have a full board or atleast kill enemy minions and have a board for yourself for only 3 mana (and some prep)
I'm withholding judgment at the moment. There could be some ways to really go off here, but it might just be too slow and unpredictable. It sure is a neat idea though!
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
I already hate this card.
That's an effect which is very hard to evaluate without testing. At least the statline is premium for it to survive more than one turn, although I'd imagine you will be rarely slamming this on curve rather than holding it for some combo shenanigans.
Could get out of hands really quickly
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Its certainly going to be good value at some point. Basically it does well with rush and stealth beast, the latter better because you can just set it up a turn earlier before jamming this guy in.
Of course, leaving up any beast on board at all is now dangerous with this card around.
So I guess late game and mid range are going to be more common. Better for the class so not that upset about the card
I''ll be rushing to get this!
This has some really awesome synergy potential
Very string, I will wait to see a one turn fill board with this.
Very interesting
Nice card and great beast sinergy. No more face is the place
good card, will see play in some deck, not sure if competitive. strange stats too!
I'll go against the grain and say this card is very average. The stats are decent, although not distributed the way hunters want traditionally. Ideally, you'd want a midrange rush beast to follow up, but I can't think of any in Standard at the moment, and I get the feeling it might be a while before we see some.
With Rush minions, this dude can really take control of a board, and since Hunter doesn't have particularly good draw, pulling from deck shouldn't be an issue. 4/5
4 Mana 7/7
Interesting card with potential
Mana cheating at ultimate levels! Now this is going to see tons of play! Can't wait to build a beast deck!
Can easily turn the tides in the late game if you are somehow behind.
I love the theory crafting of the outlandish chains that one can pull off with this. The biggest problem is obviously to make sure that you have the lower cost beasts still in deck to pull when the bigger ones get played and attack.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I wonder how long a chain you'll actually be able to get off before this dies, or you run out of progressively cheaper beasts.
An interesting rework of Spirit of the Frog but for hunter. The obvious synergy is with rush cards but do not ignore beasts with taunt and/or deathrattle as well.
Once again, here I am thinking - wow! Finally! There it is! I mean, part of me can't help but want this to be a Warrior card, but here is the rush Hunter support that always should have been.
The Hunter part of me would like to see more support for the archetype (archetypes that rely on drawing one key card, even if good, are never fun), but the non-Hunter part of me would like to say... good golly let it die now it's gone too far, I'm scared!
I like the l'il dwarf, too. Sometimes you need a cute, generic dwarf. Headpats all around.
Better call Thrall!
Beast Hunter returns
Rogue DH
This might be pretty good, really need to see the rest of the set.
This card is decent giving high rating just for the beard lol
A lot of possibilities with this card. Furthermore, it's an ongoing effect so it warrants instant removal.
Its hard to assess this card in any way until we've seen what it coming. We are going to need to see some solid beasts for this to see use, and they will usually need to have rush. For now we don't really have any that fit the bill on that front.
I guess the purpose is to fill your deck with Sunscale Raptors and pull them out with this. Or copy come cheap beasts (Stonetusk Boar rush replacement?) with Dire Frenzy, that could also work. I guess this is a little to specific to acutally be strong, but could be really fun to play around with.
Yep
I guess it will summon 1-2 cards on average. Synergizes well with the ranked spell so that on rank 2 you get a 4/4 rush and a 3-drop while on rank 3 a 6/6 rush and a 5-drop. Not bad for 5 Mana: you develop a board and deal with opponent's. Broomstick can help to continue the chain.
I wouldn't build a deck around that but could be good in a midrange beast heavy deck.
This is really good. You can summon beats using spells like Tame Beast (Rank 3) and have it summon your much scarier beasts that you added to your deck. Not sure on the mana cost of the spell summoned beasts though. Regardless, this card can snowball and get out of control
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I realy like the Beast Hunter Theme they seem to be pushing more and more.
This has potential - and will be used however, i guess we will have to wait and see what kind of new beasts will come to make this even more dangerous.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I actually don't think this is viable. Seems too conditional to me, to be consistent.
I love any card which can be used across many deck types
I've been here a while; just hanging out in the background.
Very interesting card, hunters enjoy playing low cost cards, can see this getting played regular. But we will see :)
I'm not online it's just your imagination
Not sure about this one.
Just awesome with a hard rush beasts deck.
By The Holy Light!
Hunty's buffed. Hunty's happy
Seems good alongside rushing beasts.
I have absolutely no idea what to think. Part of me thinks it's so restricted it can't work, part of me thinks the one combo where it does work will be crazy. Guess we need to wait for all the cards to be revealed.
A lot of people wish this will see play, but i don't think so
Not in standard, no way
Beards.... the true win condition
The dream is to cascade a bunch of rush minions here and draw your whole deck, but in practice Hunter won't have many rush beasts available after rotation (just Trampling Rhino, Mok'Nathal Lion, Zixor, Apex Predator, and whatever is replacing Stonetusk Boar). Whether or not this sees play probably depends on how many more rush minions or good deathrattle beasts Hunter gets.
Love this card! Can't wait for the insane combos!
best card in expansion
It has some combo potential, but not an auto-include.
At this point I have spent too much money on these games to quit.
Now pass me another pack, and lets see what I pull.
Will never see play.
Some pretty fun potential and I think will go nicely in mid-range and slower decks too. Especially if you can really build with this in mind.
Can work only if you build your deck around it.
There's absolutely some way to break this. I'm just not sure what that way is, and if there isn't one yet, then there WILL be later.
Probably too ambitious to build a whole deck around this card, but please let me be incorrect. I think the archetype will be a lot of fun.
Arena > Wild > Standard
good card
Kenny's little poet. 😇
Good health point, it will force us to create a deck regarding the cost of our beasts to make sure we have something to summon in any case. Thats a good card for deckbuilding !
Murlocs <3
I guess if I Boar then it won't summon another Boar.
First it seemed meh. Now it seems awesome with all the rush beasts
Can't really evaluate the potential of this card, as it requires a very specific deck for big payoff. But might be just as good early. Looks strong to me.
It's an amazing swing card except from the fact that right now neither the hunter or the neutral pool of beasts contains playable/strong 2-drops and 4-drops, which makes this pretty much non-usable early game. The new upgradeable spell that summons rush minions can work...but probably u don't want draw a 1-drops and then see Tavish Stormpike die
That's reeeally good, can't wait to play beast hunter!
This is pretty scary on turn five with Tame Beast (Rank 1) cheating out a Zixor, Apex Predator into a two-cost beast. The main challenge with Tavish Stormpike is going to be constructing the deck and figuring out what beasts or beast-summoning cards are worth including. That being said, Tavish has the potential to create a massive swing turn and help justify Dire Frenzy as Tavish can pull buffed beasts from your deck. We'll have to see all of the available beasts, but I won't be sleeping on Tavish.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Beast deck payoff card.
Ideal scenario:
i love the huge health, it's gonna be difficult to remove
Looks good, but need testing.
perhaps someone will find a nice deck for it, but im not seeing it yet
Hmm... safety inspector can help this bro!
For The HORDE!
Meh
This will be fun with some rush/charge chaining.
interesting effect with beast hunter. With rush this is quite insane - but not sure how the deck can be made around this
i see this card very very good too good
One of my favorite build around cards in Elder Scrolls Legends was Altar of Despair, which did something kind of similar to what Tavish does. Maybe it's too hard to pull off, but that will not stop me from trying it out. I'm also getting the jones to play some Altar Scout right now. R.I.P. ESL.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Beast hunter deck could be fine, but if each time we summon 1 mana less card we quick will be summon 0-cost minion - or maybe 1 mana cost is the lowest cost card that Tavish summon
Very fun card, might be strong when paired with some Rush Beasts
pretty strong in specific situations
Nice card, wild combo potential
Good body and great effect. I wonder if it will see play.
Are there enough 1 cost beasts? I like the raptor that buffs itself.
If I grab this card I'm absolutely trying to fill a board with him in some ridiculous combo play. I don't necessarily think he's good, but he will be fun.
Welcome to the site!
At first I didn't realize he was kneeling, so I thought he just had extraordinarily short legs, even for a dwarf.
I can't wait to combo this with Tundra Rhino.
