Insanely strong. More broken than nitroboost. And it's a holy spell.
This has good value I can it already in odd paladin
This might be the strongest ranked card so far. It will definitely see play.
Scary.
The Dudes are back in town.
Conviction (Rank 1) is not very impressive, but Conviction (Rank 2) and Conviction (Rank 3) are really strong. In a proper aggro list, the Rank 2 version is basically a 1-mana Fireball right around the turn you're hoping to close the game out. And if the game goes too long, the extra 9 damage burst in the late game can help you close things out even when your opponent is starting to wear down your board.
She's totally carrying the hammer from Donkey Kong and Super Smash, and it totally makes me giggle.
This doesn't seem powerful, though. Paladin doesn't have oodles of card draw; using up a slot with this card seems like a waste. It does improve at 5 mana, but then the randomness makes efficient trades difficult. At 10 mana you might call it a finisher, but a deck which would use that finisher doesn't want the game to last that long, does it?
Perhaps Veteran Warmedic could bring life to this card, but it seems subpar as-is.
Better call Thrall!
Dude paladin coming back? We will see...
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
That's a 1-mana Bloodlust at turn 10...
It is ok, but nothing to write home about. Maybe you run it if you need more activators for Holy spell synergies
I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And even though it is impossible I exist. ©Trimutius
well not really... bloodlust gives up to 21 damage, while this at most
I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And even though it is impossible I exist. ©Trimutius
The fact that even as a rank 1 spell, this card is pretty good. Upgraded to rank 2 and you just got your win condition.
I expect to see this card in standard often. The removal of Blessing of Might from standard alone means this card easily slots in in aggro decks.
mini bloodlust for pally, nice to finish games fast before enemy can swing the game
1 mana bloodlust? Yes please!!!
It shouldn't be too difficult for Paladin to get some minions to stick via Divine Shield or general swarm ability, meaning this could easily represent a significant amount of damage in the mid-late game. In the early-mid game it can be paired pretty well with Animated Broomstick to provide intense board control.
Just let me get my blue jeans, book on a string, and my Donkey King hammer and I'll be right with you.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Competes with dude paladin buffs too much
Nine damage for 1 mana is fantastic. Paladin is the new Druid (or Shaman).
FORTH EORLINGAS!
DEATH! DEATH!
Seems decent in Paladin whom is pretty good at getting boards. Specifically Recruits with Lothraxion to stick around seem to be a good way to go with this.
Like it, quite a versalite tool.
I didn't see the random at first. Interesting card. Mini Bloodlust. Paladin could make good use of such a spell.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
If we're talking about Wild, this is a 5 Star card, just because of Odd Paladin.
Standard wise, I'm not sure, but it does feel like a solid card to put in just to close out the game or make some better trades.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
That's going to hurt ... yikes!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
One of the better ranked spells
-=alfi=-
1 mana deal 9 damage. The potential of this card is thru the roof. However, every opponent knows that even the smallest minions can be a threat when you're playing paladin, so it's far from guaranteed that you'll have 3 minions on your side of the board when your turn starts. Maybe this can be a finisher in dude paladin. Odd Paladin's faith in Wild has already been sealed when turn 10 comes along, but 6 damage might just be good enough already.
Arena > Wild > Standard
Plain broken card.
potantially a 1 mana bloodlust?
Could be rather annoying to play around. Paladins do love buffing so I won't be surprised to see this on ladder.
Don't leave any Paladin minion on board. They'll always have some buffs to put on them.
OBLIVION!
This will definitely help Secret and SHR Paladin follow up their boards with crazy efficient damage in the mid-to-late game. The pressure of one mana deal six or nine damage while also having mana left to continue developing board or follow up will force opponents to remove your board whenever you have one. With this and some secrets being cheap holy spells, I wonder if Secret Paladin could work with Veteran Warmedic?
For glory, honor, and gold!
WoW, amazing for a 1 cost
I'm not online it's just your imagination
very strong ...
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
My Odd Paladin approves this.
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
Aggro paladin loves this .Great for trades or even a to kill your opponet .
very good dudeladin card
seems good for 1 mana
Nice card really like the scaling abilities
Will be nerfed
For 1 mana you get a nice buff attack. Very versatile depends the situation for trade or face damage
I think this is not good at all. Honestly, [Blessing of Might was rarely played. An untargeted version of that seems unplayable at best. And the ranking up does not help much, since most token seeks seek to overwhelm the opponent in the early game. Rank 3 will probably never be reached by such decks, at best a rank 2.
BuffaDIN
Rogue DH
This one seems strong ! Cheap and Effective. Not it is even more dangerous to leave up some Dudes when you play against Paladin.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
At first I thought it was quite weak, like it's basically Blessing of Might before 5 mana. But the more I think about it, dude paladin will likely become a thing and even with the new legendary Cannonmaster Smythe this card become nuts at 10 mana. Pity it's epic rarity, but that would potentially make aggro decks more expensive, which is a good thing.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Pretty mediocre.
Less useful than other ranked spells unless a deck is built specifically to make use of an effect like this
Like old good buff
Maybe in some wacky wild OTK combo with cheap chargers? In standard it might end up in some face paladin list, but that doesn't have any other support.
Welll...now we know why Blessing of MIght didn't make it into the core set.
I think this is decent enough to see play if there's a use for it, but that probably depends on just how fast (or slow) Paladin decks are going to be
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
A litte slow, but could have some Wild OTK potential
Insanely strong, even the rank-1 version is good.
So slow for an aggro deck, maybe some midrange pally can shine with secrets package and cards like this.
By The Holy Light!
good card
Kenny's little poet. 😇
Love it! One Mana +9 Attack sounds reasonable :D
this could be nice in any aggro paladin, including my dude paladin
other pal buffs look better, not sure this is an epic, not sure this card can fight for a spot on dude deck
FACE is the place!! go go dudes!
1 mana for 9 damage, plus you can run 2 of these and still have 8 mana leftover for some other buffs. Spells like this are why Charge is being gradually removed from Standard.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
I'll guess it's good as a finisher when your board is full of Silver hand recruits and you are chipping away health from your opponent every turn.
Basically a Blessing of Might on steroids.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
5 stars from me. This is really good even in the one mana iteration. Great tool for any aggro Paladin deck
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
2x Rally! into Wolfrider , Bluegill Warrior, Stonetusk Boar, 2x Conviction (Rank 3) = 30 dmg
In a class with some draw potential this would be scary. In Pally it's a little bit weaker, but still playable. I mean it's 1 mana, you can squeeze it into any turn.
Its a finisher, play a lot of recruits then kill the opponent like we did the good old day with totems and Bloodlust
Murlocs <3
Very strong card, and if you discount it with Cariel Roame it's a 0 cost Fireball once it upgrades to Conviction (Rank 2). I was already VERY scared of midrange/Dude paladin but this makes it even worse. I bet that Conviction (Rank 1) will get nerfed, it's arguably a much better Nitroboost Poison, and Nitroboost Poison is already a BS way too OP card. If this continues, i certainly hope were going to see a Skulking Geist reprint...
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
1 mana bloodlust, this is scary strong..might be hit with a nerfbat in the future.
Pretty good I guess, for midrange or slower decks. Not sure if this takes a spot in current decks, but great to discover mid-game or later.
I’m disappointed. When the other upgradeable cards were revealed, I argued that their intention was to provide flexibility rather than raw strength. But this card? Flexible AND strong.
This card is insane for any paladin deck! This will see a lot of play for sure. Wow!
Rank 1 is stupid and underpowered. Rank 2 though is a 6 damage burst for 1 mana, which is absolutely nuts. I don't think you will hit rank 3 very often given that you are playing an aggro deck and probably don't want to hit turn 10. I think this will definitely see play as a form of burst in aggro decks to close out games.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
One cost spell for +3 attack... looks as powerful as the other minion buffs, that see play.
Amazing Value. Don't know if it'll make into libram holy paladin bcos it already seems so full. Great card to discover. Would be broken if paladin wasn't consistently top tier already.
Seems pretty scary. Seems they are pushing a pretty aggressive game plan for Paladin, which is a shame since that is what it has been since Librams took off. None the less it seems like this could offer some pretty nasty burst damage.
all I can think about is odd aggro paladin. this card gonna be bonkers in that deck
Very powerful finisher tool in Odd Paladin with Leeroy
I'm a bit sad when some cards appear that are just a better version that others (Blessing of Might).
Great card though, will see play if Aggro pala is a thing for sure.
Rank 1 may be weak since it's untargeted, but damn, this will be insane at rank 2 and 3.
Crazy, no doubt about it. Like Nitroboost, just too much burst slapped on a "condition" of keeping it for later, as a finisher.
Dude paladin is back, and hopefully it's enough to overtake Libram/Holy paladin
4 Mana 7/7
For aggro lists, I don't see this as a 1 mana 9 damage, that's on turn 10 and if you're on turn 10, you lost. I see this as a 1 mana Fireball on turn 5, that's where you want that sweet burst to the face.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Agree! Not convinced with rank 1 and 3. Rank 2 is the way to go.
It seems very strong for its cost, very strong burst ability.
At this point I have spent too much money on these games to quit.
Now pass me another pack, and lets see what I pull.
Yeah 1 mana +3 ×3 is alot, but you must have 10 mana... we'll see if aggro decks will play slowly in standard then
For The HORDE!
Quite good. For an agro deck the Rank 2 is super strong for 1 mana. The rank 3 is a bit slow for a super aggressive deck and agro paladin have draw issue in standard. So... this card is heavely related to the meta
A little slow to be honest for an aggressive deck
Very good card.
Honestly, rank 1 of this seems fine, and rank 3 seems like quite the finisher! Here are the ranks, for reference:
Conviction (Rank 1)
Conviction (Rank 2)
Conviction (Rank 3)
Nice card. Paladin burst damage from hand for 1 mana as long as you have 3 minions on board.
Will have place on board centric paladin decks.
Dude paladin is back ?
very strong card
I mana to buff a minion on your side. The later in the game it is, more get the benefit. I cannot really see this being in something like Dude Paladin, but certainly in control decks with taunts
Super cheap dude buffs. Can slot into a number of decks, plus it's a holy spell which offers some additional incentive. I think we'll see this used a bit.
ez finisher
Why tho
Insane aggro card for an aggressive paladin
good
That's an awesome finisher for Paladin, giving you 9 damage for 1 in late game.
Buffs that apply themselves randomly aren't generally that good. I guess in the late game this gets better, but I'm not sure how willing I would be to take a gamble on such a risk to actually put this card in any deck. If you're something like Silver Hands and manage to stick a board this could in some ways be like a pseudo-Savage Roar finisher, I guess.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Very nice card for odd paladin
Ribbit
"You get a Blessing of Might! And you get a Blessing of Might! Blessing of Might for everyone!"
~ An expertly disguised dinosaur
Cheap way to buff up the little dudes, so it might work. Waiting to see if buff Paladin becomes a thing
Awesome! In late game 9 dmg for only 1 mana is insane. Maybe too strong, but we will see new meta
Not exciting in 1st form. But adds reach when played late. Not really needed for current Paladin decks that spam out big bodies like they're going out of style, but I guess if we have dude paladin return, this could be a key piece.
Good for aggro.
I think this is one of the better rank spells. You will want this as a finisher at 10 mana, but you won't feel bad about needing to use it for a better trade at the earlier stages either.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
The first form isn't all that great and if the game reaches 10 mana you probably lost with an aggro deck anyway. The 5 mana version hits the sweet spot though so it all depends if the deck is good or not.
This card looks really strong, particularly in the late game for that final bit of burst.
Cheap damage boost, strong card
Lot of burst for very cheap, will see play. Not to mention it's odd.
Put your faith in the Light!
decent in dude paladin
It's okay, but it's probably pretty easy to deal with. The randomness messes with this card a bit too much I say.
Aggro Paladin would like to have a word with you.
Seems super strong. Only gets better when it ranks up.
It's no secret that I like cards that become more useful later in the game. I'm not crazy about the fact that the effect is applied at random, but I guess that's the price that you pay for a pretty good power level.
This is really good. Don't let the word 'random' trick you - you absolutely just control how many minions you have and get the buff where you want it. Or even just go aggro and not care where it lands.
Welcome to the site!
Brooo this is awesome. Even if it is random, odd pally gonna love this.
