What the hell?!
Hey, that's pretty good.
Edit: Especially the weapon part. Only Eaglehorn, Hatchet and Gladiators Longbow, right?
You get a Secret for Eaglehorn, a Beast for Hatchet and Gladiator is underrated, imo atleast.
Also, Zul'Jin value, jeez.
3 mana draw 3 for hunter again.
I miss the golden days of trash draw hunter
Fits right in with the class identity
Welp, now Secret Hunter has refill. That is going to be pretty scary.
And random Hunter beasts have low key gotten pretty good.
It'll be interesting to see if a Master's Call deck is preferable to this.
Hunter gets a lot of 3-mana draw 3 cards and Subject 9 is a thing.
Maybe its time for Hunter to try Mountain Giant? :D
Hunter has been getting a lot of bonus hand improvement in the past couple of release. Good thing there was a realignment of class identity otherwise this would be a little awkward...
nerf before release. this is a common card btw:D

Um, this is insane value for a common. Great card!
This is probably only useful in the mid-range beast deck or the secret deck. But what card will it replace? Maybe in the secret deck you are flexible and you can switch something, but in the beast one I can not think of a card that you want to replace for this.
I guess 3 mana draw 3 will be hunter's new identity.
Oh well. Good value as a standalone card. Even better when paired with Zul'jin.
Decent card but probably overrated.
Remember, this is "add 3 random cards to your hand." When have those been super strong? You want to draw cards you actually and specifically put into your deck, not random cards.
edit:
Also, keep in mind what other 3-drops this competes with and ask yourself how the hell this would fit into a Hunter deck (not listing the unplayed 3-drops):

The difference here is that this card is 3 mana, rather than cards such as Devour Mind and Cabalist's Tome which cost nearly double the amount of mana. Plus the cards that you get are more specific and generally guaranteed to be more useful than, say, a Glacial Mysteries or Shatter when you have no other freeze cards.
I'm not saying the card is super broken, but the odds of it seeing play over other "add 3 random cards to your hand" spells is significantly higher.
I agree with the people saying it looks good but probably isn't as great as it looks. Reminds me of Revenge of the Wild which sees little play. People thought it was bonkers when it was revealed. Still, it looks like it will be a lot of fun and I'm sure we see it in the highlight reels.
All that you see is but a judgment against yourself.
Thank whatever Diety you worship that Team 5 are not pushing Mech Hunter so far this Expansion.
This is a good card. Three mana for three cards? Random yes, but Hunter Secrets are pretty good across the board, there are no bad Hunter Weapons at the moment in Standard (Wild is different ofc) and a random Beast for the synergy is pretty good too. Nice one.
Cocked, locked and ready to rock...
I think a Master's Call deck is still superior, just because what it draws are basically combo pieces like Springpaw, Timber Wolf, Hyena and Rhino. That said, almost all cards you get from Hunter's Pack are good for a Master's Call deck. Hell, even Starving Buzzard is decent. Maybe we'll have a Meta that calls for insane value and/or constant pressure mid-/lategame, where you would play both cards in the same deck? Probably not, but who knows.
I agree with it being good for Secret Hunter. Very good, indeed.
Hunter seems to be in that nice spot again, where it can play tons of different archetypes that are all close to or even top tier. Secrets, Mech, Master's Call (Aggro and Midrange) and Vereesa/Burn Hunter (not the Jeppeto version, that one's pretty garbage imo) is pretty close to being very good. Hunter will definitely be Tier 1 with one of these or even something else, its cards are way too good, the archetypes are very flexible and can easily be adjusted to a certain Meta.
This is a common... It'll be bonkers in Arena.
Nah.
First off, you aren't playing this in a deck that plays Master's Call, Nine Lives, Spider Bomb, or Ursatron.
It's a Secret Hunter card.
Second, "add 3 random cards to your hand" have seen competitive play as recently as this expansion in Crystal Song Portal. But also Cabalist Tome.
It's worth noting that this card is (A) much cheaper than most "add 3 random cards" (B) unconditional and (C) adding a specific set of different kinds of tools.
I overrated Revenge of the Wild. However, this is a lot more simple to evaluate.
Master's Call will always just be better. And I'm not saying this cardis bad, I just think it will be played as a "created by" card if you need plenty of value, i.e., it's a really strong card you don't want to put in your deck.
But I'd like to remind you of this:
Good job shooting yourselves in the foot there T5. You don't want Mind Blast or Vanish evergreen, fine. Just don't have your cake and keep eating it.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
I really like todays cards so far. They're not OP as hell but make you want to try them out, find synergies and build strategies around them. This will face tough competition in the 3 mana slot, but I really like how it's one more puzzle piece on the way to control hunter.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

And, since all those mighty beasts will be turned into random murlocs anyway, hunter needs spells and weapons!
I think limitations means that abilities in this area will be limited in some way. This is random card generation not card draw and it is very narrow in scope. The draw 3 beasts card also has strict limits in that you need no non beast minions.
Secret Hunter isn't played because it's much worse than Mech Hunter. Perhaps this card and Secret Hunter will see play when mechs rotate out, but until then, this card is mediocre.
Re: Crystalsong Portal and Cabalist's Tome - CP was played around with in early versions of Token Druid but I haven't seen it played in a long time. CT didn't see play becuase of the value generation - it saw play because it was fuel for the Mage quest and nothing better existed.
I stick to my assessment, this won't see much play beyond the first week or two of hype.

This is some sick card generation.

Guys if you're going to downvote, can you please explain why? Let's have a conversation. Getting zero interaction for why you disagree with me is kind of a downer and honestly makes me not want to post here.

While I overall agree with your evaluation of the card, I just wanted to say that most of Secret Hunter's best support (Masked Contender, Subject 9 and most importantly Zul'jin) will rotate with Mech Hunter.
Not only that, since Secret Hunter plays a bit differently from Mech Hunter (it's a deck that can favor late game much better), it ends up being a deck that can exist alongside Mech Hunter. I think Secret Hunter's spot is being contested more by Beast Hunter than Mech Hunter, per se.

I didn't downvote you, but my guess would be picking one statement out of your post and downvoting because of it. Probably the Secret Hunter part? Because Secret Hunter is actually good (but not played much). Iirc it's pretty good against cyclone mage and should be good against some aggressive decks.
The rest of your post looks accurate to me, so that's my guess.
That class identity memo is going to be an albatross around Team 5's neck until they rescind it. It's a no-win situation really. On the one hand everyone disliked the memo and its design implications, so living up to it will result in a lot of unhappy players, on the other hand it's given everyone ammo to lob memes at Blizzard whenever they break their own rules. We already got an example of how strict adherence to this document has resulted in last-minute post hoc changes (for the worse) in Plague of Madness.
I just hope they come to their senses sooner rather than later and just admit it was an ill-conceived justification for HoF-ing Vanish and Mind Blast. If they don't that stupid fucking memo is going to be Team 5's "Well Dany kind of forgot about the Iron Fleet" moment.
