There's a deck that's been floating in wild recently called Mine rogue. Basically, it aims to burn down your opponent by triggering Naval Mine Deathrattle multiple times.
Shattershambler does everything that the deck wants, cost reduction and a way to destroy your mines. It has the potential to break wild so I'm kinda worried. Maybe it's not that good since you don't always want to destroy your own mine so that you can activate it with Necrium Blade.
Meh, combo decks that win by doing a specific amount of damage never last in a world where Armor Vendor and Druids exist. If all it took was playing 32 something damage from hand to win, then Malygos Druid would be a tier 0 deck. Besides, that deck absolutely crumpels under any amount of early pressure, which the format is filled with ATM. I do not expect it to last long.
Edit: After beating nearly every Mine Rogue I came across, I decided to try the deck out myself to see why it suddenly got so popular. I love it. It is absurdly good, as long as you don't queue into a Pirate Rogue lol
Mine Rogue is also present in Standard, although it typically kills you in 2 or 3 stages rather than all at once. I don't know if a 1 mana reduction will be relevant in Wild, but the insta-proc could enable some lethal combos.
Ok, Jackpot!'s card art is going to give me nightmares...
Shattershambler - oh yea, do you remember times when deathrattle rogue with Anubisath Warbringer was nuisance? Now you can play it on turn 2 (or 1 with coin). In standard you have Legionnaire, but rogue lacks good deathrattle cards for now. You could play it with Humongous Owl for easy face damage or with Korrak the Bloodrager, almost immortal card on turn 1 or 2. Or you can keep it to use it with Ozumat as 2 mana board clear (and board fill).
You coult try to highroll with Reconnaissance, maybe Tirion Fordring or Mi'da, Pure Light or Aegwynn, the Guardian? Unfortunately other classes also lacks good deathrattle cards.
This card will be with us for the next 2 years and I'm pretty sure at some point it will be part of some broken combo.
It says Costs 1 LESS, not cost 1
Oops, my mistake. Then it is total garbage xD
Best way to describe Jackpot!:
"What a normal HS player sees: 2 mana get garbage. Way too slow"
VS
"What a burgle rogue player such as myself sees: 2 mana add 2 random copies of Rune of the Archmage to your hand."
Love the card already!
I can see the iceblood towers and sigils of reckoning coming…
Jackpot! - Fodder for Wildpaw Gnoll and nothing else, at the moment anyway. But I suspect it'll never see any play past meme decks regardless. Rogue simply does not have the sustain for long value games.
Inkveil Ambusher - There's certainly a place for it in the new weapon rogue. And it does more or less guarantee a value trade, before being value traded itself. More importantly you can just play it and pressure your opponent into playing inefficiently because of stealth
Shattershambler - Im not entirely certain where this card will lie. At its best, you can get double 5/8 taunt on 4 and at its very worst you play it turn 1 and then proceed to not draw the perfect deathrattle card. Not even sure if mine rogue needs this card. But certainly an interesting option
Edit: Made some wording changes for shattershambler
Jackpot could be good with Swiftscale Trickster.
"""Could""" be.
How do you get "double" 5/8?
turn 3 Snowfall Graveyard, turn 4 Burning Blade Acolyte. Since the effect is persistent until a deathrattle is played, it'll immediately die and summon two 5/8 taunt for you
Thanks. Totally forgot about the graveyard
graveyard on 3 and then the 1drop + burning blade acolyt
Thanks as well
We can put Shattershambler in the already-overcrowded waiting room for actual deathrattle minions. It lets Ozumat be an immediate board clear... I guess. Not that rogue will want to be doing that.
Jackpot! is good for the thief rogue players who are there for the long games (so won't actually make it into refined versions of the deck).
Inkveil Ambusher reminds me of Gankster, but should be a decent bit better. I doubt it makes it into any meta decks though.
Shuttershambler – Ozumat enabler?
A 2-Card combo including a legendary for a worse twisting nether? In rogue?
I think it’s main focus will be cards like eggs where the front half of the card is more of a nuisance.
I don‘t think there is enough synergy atm but there will be two more expansions where this card coexists with the graveyard.
