Nice to see blizzard’s still trying to make dragon pally work, and this stuff looks like it might be good enough to finally make it happen, time warden is incredibly powerful especially on curve with the neutral from onyxia’s lair. Anachronos looks good enough to fit in all sorts of pally decks and daring drake isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be, a 4 mana 5/5 rush while not groud breaking is not bad and is probably on the higher end in terms of dragon quality. And lastly flight of the bronze is good enough that I think pure pally might even run it to have a good dredge target post order in the court.
God forbid I rant because HS wording has became so irrational. Usually you could grasp the meaning of card effect once you read it. Yeah, 4 lines of effects is not enough anymore to define what designer want to say.
It's more understandable if the card would just say, "Remove all minions and return them on board in 2 turns". or sth like that.
I hate cards like Daring Drake which literally only serve to be pack filler so that cards like Flight of the Bronze have worse dragons to discover
Seeing cards like Anachronos, I do wish the reveal season is like how it was previously. It would've been a lot cooler if it was revealed in anticipation. But eh, just small nitpicks.
So 1 parts dragons and the other part being aggro pally?
If the dragons have came out first I would have been concerned because its yet more evidence of stuff that are too slow and pally just fold to every early game imaginable. Because from what I can see that's exactly the problem with all these cool dragons Im seeing right now.
Probably wont fit into pure pally with countess in it, because there's not really that many dragons in standard, and if youre running Timewarden you'll probably want as many as you get. Most likely is that the midrange dragon deck simply doesn't get more than tier 3 while Anachronos itself will be seen everywhere.
You know you're dealing with serious power when you have a tribe or faction (Dragon) and you don't even need the synergies of that tribe to play with its new cards.
People are already commenting on Anachronos -- The Jailer's new best friend -- but Flight of the Bronze is absolutely no slouch as it becomes a hilariously good lategame topdeck. In Standard, Druid can just walk over a 5/5 for 1 by the time you have 7 mana, but other classes may have to actually pay attention to that (and this puts aggro out of its they-made-it-to-7-mana misery).
Timewarden has potential to let you weave dragons into your divine shield buff Paladin but there's no reason to do that since Stalladin will likely be better. I mean, I'm going to do it anyway, but still. Maybe there's a neutral dragon or two that can help make buff dragons a thing.
There is Amber Whelp, but otherwise everything else comes within Paladin or from an earlier source. We'll have to see what the mini-set and next Year's expansions bring, but "suddenly, dragons" seems to be in play here lol
Wronchi NEVER dissapoints. And these dragon cards look really cool! (Except Daring Drake) Looking forward to dragon paladin already!
Arthas didn't win in his own expansion, that's the disappointment.
Dragon Paladin was first introduced in Rise of Shadows which was April 2019 - 3 years ago. I was excited for it then and I'm excited about it now.
what does "two turns in the future" mean? Dormant for 2 turns?
Think of it like The Amazing Reno's *Poof!* but the minions return to the board after 2 turns. Afaik, no deathrattles will trigger and minions will retrain buffs when returning to the board. If you don't have enough board space though... bye bye minions.
Dormant Minions occupy space on the field. This one does not.
Based on the video, yes: it's essentially Dormant for 2 turns, only they don't take up space on the board (which can cause issues in said future, again like in the video).
anachronos might be my favourite card in this expansion so far by god
Anachronos is cool and all, but I'm more interested in the Bob origin story at the end.
With this much dragon synergy, I can easily see BRM and DoD being considered for the core set
Oh crap. Anachronos looks like it's gonna be an autoinclude in every control Paladin list - remove whole board for 2 turns with a 8/8 body is crazy!
Could it finally work? I’ve wanted Dragon Paladin to be a thing for so long.
Anachronos is crazy cool.
