Something I completely forgot about until today: Zayle, Shadow Cloak!  I fully expected this to be part of the reveals when they started, and then after they all came out I forgot about it.  But that should also means Zayle can't be found in the packs, therefore, you won't waste a legendary pull on a regular Cloak, only to dust it later after finishing the solo content.

I know not much has been revealed on Zayle, other than it's a Whizbang-type of card that can give you one of five possible decks.  I assume these decks are going to be from the five EVIL classes, and I also assume they won't be the same deck recipes that Whizbang is giving us.  I mainly say this because if they are, what's the point?  Then we're just playing Zayle over Whizbang because you specifically want to play one of those five classes and not the other four.  Yes, Whizbang would change over time where Zayle may not, so using the new RoS deck recipes could be fine, but again it seems redundant.

Anyway, interested to hear your thoughts on what the Zayle decks could be like.  It would be crazy if they were themed more after the final bosses in the solo mission wings, but that could be too OP!  Feel like if that was the case they'd have to be toned down just a bit to be fair.

Point is it will never leave standard.

I mean, they basically added Whizbang the Wonderful to classic set.

I dont really care about the adventure experience all that much, and paying $20 for 12 packs and a golden pack does not look to tempting. zayle is the difference between me buying this adventure or not. so I hope he is good.

Please provide your source on Whizbang being in Standard, and Zayle never leaving Standard.  There's no news that I've seen on Whizbang being put in standard, and no previous indication that it's even a consideration.  That said, I do believe that once Boomsday rotates that he should be put into Classic, and even be given away to new players who reach Rank 20 with a dust refund to those who have it already.

And if Zayle doesn't produce top meta decks it doesn't mean it's a failure.  I'm sure many people will have fun using the card even if it's not super powerful.  Just like with Whizbang.

If you complete adventure: you will get golden for free. If someone wants him, you must craft it. It will not drop from packs. And, yes, he also said: it's like Whizbang with 5 new pre constracted decks. I don't know what kind of decks, but 5 it's not 9 and has less random, if they are all mediocre it will be not bad.

Owh, Sorry, I have missed that information about 5 decks and what they said about that and the thing about Whizbang the Wonderful being classic. I've just shared my thoughts about the card. It seems I was wrong because of lack of information.

I hope those informations are right and we get different weird decks from Zayle like Drageren said.

Honestly Zayle is a let down. I tried it both in ranked and in casual (Standard). Other than a pretty spot on Bomb Warrior all the other decks are basically meme trash. The all golden character is about the only reason to play it just for the flex. Otherwise avoid taking into ranked, it simply won't do well if you are ranked 5 or better from my experience.

I don't think Zayle is meant to be a super competitive card, especially not in higher ranks (like 5+). Like Whizzbang it is a card for people who don't want to spend a ton of money and still get to play with some decks they otherwise could not afford. Kind of a teaser of what is possible if you spend a lot of money, an incentive for people to get into ranked, and an advertisement for moderately expensive decks. 

Both Whizbang the Wonderful and Zayle, Shadow Cloak are cards meant to be there for those who doesn't have a big collection but want to play with new decks.

They're not competitive cards that can give you top tier decks in order to have an easy climb on Standard Ladder.

It will be interesting if the next Zayle/ Whizbang card actualy give us new decks with UNCOLLECTIBLE cards . That would be an interesting direction.

Zayle is not supposed to be good. Even if it gave you good decks (which it kinda does) the fact that you cannot choose which one to play makes it bad. Not to mention you cannot change cards you don't like (Lazul in ressurect priest?!). Both Zayle and Whizbang are targeted towards the casual audience to either have the option to queue random decks or more importantly try out decks that you don't have enough dust to craft and maybe find a reason to invest more into the game and build that deck. 

Having a smaller card pool makes Zayle better in that and if it will get updated with the new expansions it will actually be an okay way to try out some new expansion cards.

Also, it gives some more casual F2P players their 1st and only chance to play a full golden deck.

I think they will release every expansion another card like this with the new adventure, leaving the previous one "old", so I still prefer Whizbang because I can use it when the new expansion launch, not after one month with the meta already defined. 
So for me it's just a bad card to "justify" the price of the adventure, but only for casual players (very very casual)

What if they will bring each expansion a separate piece which does the same as zayle and combining all 3 will give you an unique mix of decks? Maybe with a small + (like being able to use one of the cards from the adventures inside constructed) will probably not happen but would be a neat idea and will give incentive to people to buy the (older) solo content.

From my limited experience, I've been enjoying Zayle far more than Whizbang. Neither of them are great, neither suck, but I think overall Zayle's decks are better and more fun than Whizbangs.
