Enough with the mechs already!

Thematically it pains me deepest when I see Druids and hunters with mechs all over the place.
Where are my beast and nature loving classes?

I'm hoping year of the dragon will live up to its name in the next expansion.
Given paladin seems to be relatively low-key in the current meta, I wonder if dragon buff-paladin will get some support with the next set of cards - dragonspeaker is lots of fun to play with in the solo adventure. Plus there are some pretty decent dragon-synergising cards still hanging around from rastakan, etc, which I'm hoping will come into their own with a bit more support.
Fingers crossed :)
May all your legendaries be golden.
Year of the dragon doesn't necessarily mean lots of dragons. We didn' t have a raven expansion with YotR.
And we didn't really have any real time with mechs, thanks to boomsday being low power and doing a power reset year. IMO it's a good time for mechs to show up. Beasts will return in due time.
Why trade with minions when you can face for...billions?
I too am very tired of the mechs. It was fun for a day. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it definitely shook things up and changed the types of decks I was facing. But I hear you. Mech everything is just over the top. Mech Druid, Mech This, Mech That, Mech, Mech Shmech. Too much of a good thing is too much. Is that a Mae West quote?
When something is too much optimized and not tied to a single Class, it will soon spread all over and then becoming a bit boring to face again and again and again with just some little differences.

Agreed, but there is no 'raven' tribe in hs. I like to think that year of the dragon will at least attempt to push some dragon archetypes.
I realise the name of the year may be a name alone, but I live in hope. More dragons and less mechs would be fun imo, especially with the release of some high profile dragon minions that have yet to fully flourish (nozari, kalecgos), and given their association with dalaran, it would be a viable direction for the next expansion if it were to push some dragon-focused archetypes among the "good-guy" classes, as a retaliation against the villainous onslaught of rise of shadows.
Complete speculation on my part, but a guy can dream...

PRIESTS with mechs, what in the world? I mean if The Boomsday Project was the current expansion I could see it but now this is silly.
Back in vanilla HS everyone complained about hunters' beasts going face (UTH anyone?) So many people tire of what is currently winning and being played. If it wasn't mechs it would be beasts, or murlocs, or pirates.
It might come up. Right now we are focused on the villains, who don't have any dragons but DO have the mech loving Dr. Boom. The mech thing is also due to Blizzard wanting to test out buffs and wanted to hit the least effective set in standard that, if it does get strong, has a short lifespan. If Dragons are added and overwhelm thet meta, we'll have 2 years of it (barring nerfs) while mechs die next year no matter what happens.
But yeah. I believe we'll see more dragons when we move to the heros or other more ..dragon like settings this year.

So i am not alone in this.
It's ok to have mechs in the game, but they can't be all over the place.
Let's make Classes Flavor great again!
I was extremely disappointed when RoS was revealed and it was just yesteryear's leftovers warmed over. Twinspell is just an Echo variant, Schemes are just Spellstones and most of the themes are just Boomsday's scraps. Having a nostalgic throwback set once in a while is fine, I guess, but that set was Boomsday. Now we're reminiscing about reminiscing about the past, and this is the first set of the year!
I hope I'm wrong, but I took it as confirmation that Blizzard is cutting costs and winding down operations for certain games. It'd certainly explain why we got what feels like Boomsday's rejects instead of a new set with new mechanics and themes.
We really hadn't mechs since GvG, so it's ok to have a peak right now.
I'm really hoping/rooting for a Naga expansion - maybe we get something in that direction because there is the Nazjatar patch in WoW.

I am not that opposed to mechs, i just think, not every class should (be able to) utilize every tribe.
I don't see how they could have avoided it with Mechs and Boomsday, considering how central they were to the expansion. I think they did a fine job pushing mechs more heavily in certain classes compared to others like druid or shaman, where they'd feel out of place. I don't mind Mulchmuncher beign a druid mech because IMO it makes sense thematically within the setting of the expansion.
I suppose mechs in hunter are a bit odd, but what else were they going to do with the class? Push mechanical traps as the class identity?
Best thing about the new cards: not a single mech in it. :)
