No, it's not weekend yet. In this midweek special Wild post, we'll take a look what kind of tricks the newcomer Illidan has come up with during his short existence for Wild, assisted by our creative community members.
Odd Demon Hunter
Let's start with the obvious one. Illidan became friends with Baku quite quickly after release and different variants of the deck are already a common sight in Wild. This particular list had 70+% winrate on HSReplay at the time of writing, although the sample size was rather low.
Highlander Demon Hunter
Another deck that was always bound to happen. This list comes from Helios, whose other 65% winrate DH list was already spotlighted on last weekend's Wild post.

Pirate Demon Hunter
We've already learned that Demon Hunters are a quite aggressive class that wants to end games fast. The same can be said about Pirates as a Tribe. MisterGuedes did the 1+1 and came up with this list.
OTK Demon Hunter
This OTK deck from Thonson seems dangerously simple. All you need is to have Demonic Blast hero power ready and then play the three combo pieces that have gotten a taste of Thaurissan's power. Or you could just rip Skull of Gul'dan and hit all three instead.
Spiteful Demon Hunter
I'd imagine some of you didn't think it was even possible, but MrRhapsody went and made Demon Hunters even more Spiteful than they already were.

Hey guys, i just want to say that if someone got interested in my Spiteful DH, i just updated the deck and its a lot better now! Thanks for highlighting it and hope y'all like the new deck ;).
Thanks for the deck - after drawing both Inner Demon before turn 6 multiple times I gave up.
After Genn & Baku that were printed Standard before being rotated earlier than expected, I thought this article was to suggest Illidan early rotation ^^
I've played only a couple of Times against DH in Wild, but I'm pretty sure I've lost the Majority of those Games.
But that was on my Part. It's easy to fall into that „They don't have any Cards in Wild, this'll be a safe Win! "-Mindset and become too confident.
I also once got their board cleared and dropped Reno after early aggression and was confident that the game was over. After some 10 turns I was finally able to take the win, they still got very close. The class has insane amount of damage in it.
I Was running something very similar in Wild for the Odd DH... I was getting owned by control priests left and right
Out of curiosity, what Baku the Mooneater does to Demon Hunter hero power?
The correct question should be:
What Genn Greymane does to Demon Hunter hero power?:)
Solem actually played an Even Demon Hunter in a best of 5 friendly duel with Roffle. Genn tells us his usual curse into strength nonsense, and then... nothing happens! Not that I want them to change Genn or anything, but... maybe he should read "your starting hero power costs (1) less" now that Demon Hunter and their 1 mana hero power exists?
Again, not really advocating for this. BUT, I am someone who would love to see each class have a second, or even third, hero power that you can customize for the deck you are building. Similar to how classes in WoW each have different spec builds.
I am not sure, 0 mana hero power seems bit scary. Imagine that you generate [Hearthstone Card (Coldara Drake) Not Found] somehow (yes I know it is mage card). Insta win:)
1 mana 2 attack
Hopefully they don't obliterate Albatros and Frenzied Felwing :(
Racking up the Wild deck features lately! Thank you for that!
On big difference in my OTK list compared to some others is Prince Taldaram inclusion. Also, considered a Kael’thas inclusion mainly because it sucks when Skull gets stuck behind a combo piece. But a free draw 3 would make the loss of cost reduction easier to swallow.
By that title I thought Illidan was going to be Hall of Famed lol
same here. that would have been so crazy that it would definitely cost someone their job.
like everybody else i have some complains about DH but i would be so sad if they removed the class. Theres a future for it they just need to dial down some of the stuff
Remove the class? Even if it was the failure of century, they certainly would not remove it a week after launch :)
I had never thought, that they would nerf it few days after introduction.
But it seems a Blizzard thing, that new stuff is always op, when introduced and nerved later on.
Thats fair, but it was to be expected and it is good they are not afraid to do so. But a complete removal, thats just too nuclear, even if the class was even more saturated than it was. Nerfs/adjustments were always the way to go regardless, thats all im saying.
