It's not a bad card, and is well costed for the effect, it just hits a weird intersection between rush and burst damage that no deck can really accommodate.
Can maybe be used in a combo I'm not seeing now, but I doubt it.

It seems like an alright card for Aggro Warrior to bypass taunt, but I feel like too many conditions need to be met as is. There will probably be more rush support, but he seems weak atm. Also, as much as I love seeing ETC make his return I was hoping he would be a bit bigger and more bombastic. Oh well.
The rush cards in standard should be good enough to make this work. Drawing this card at the right time is going to be the concern. I could see it being used in the Galakrond package but I think there is a missing piece to put this over the top.
rush minion not minion with rush it has to have rush as a keyword..
seems like an otk piece if warrior had a card that summoned a lot of rushers like hunter or DH.. then maybe.. but even the "combo" in the video seemed underwhelming.
sick name/art/entrance sadly we probably won't see much of this unless it's broken.
E.T.C., God of Metal seems quietly awesome. With tools like Restless Mummy, Scion of Ruin, and Playmaker, this is plainly built for a midrange Warrior focused on self-harm with a Galakrond package. It's very easy to pair E.T.C with a bunch of rush minions and simultaneously clear the enemy board and pressure the enemy's health. Whether or not E.T.C is needed to make that deck good is unclear, but it does enough for very little mana that I'd expect any deck like that to run it.
So, warriors love rush minions, which means this guy should find a home somewhere.
But that would require a deck that has consistent rush minions, and the meta right now focuses on weapons, bombs or OTK.
we'll need a few strong rush minions to see this guy on a competitive deck. I guess they did show off that elephant that is an 8/8 and rush if it's corrupted...

E.T.C., God of Metal seems fantastic for a lot of warrior stuff in both Standard and Wild. It's cheap and alongside Batterhead can deal up to 14 damage to the opponents face, and potentially more if E.T.C., God of Metal survives a turn. I bet [Hearthstone Card (E.T.C., God of death) Not Found] isn't going to be the only new rush related card this expansion, after all E.T.C., God of Metal is the ONLY warrior card showed so far. So we don't know how good E.T.C., God of Metal actually is, so imma speculate based on what we have in standard/wild so far. Also this has some amazing synergy with Playmaker.
Also Trump did a fenominal reveal, that was awesome! And that animation, It's AWESOME! :o
Standard: I predict this will see play in some kind of midrange/control kinda warrior deck. It's a pretty good finisher. (Alongside Batterhead & full board is basicly 2x Leeroy Jenkins with +2 atk.) But it can also see it played in Galakrond Warrior, because if you play 2x Scion of Ruin and trade, E.T.C., God of Metal can deal 12 face DMG. And thats a lot in a deck thats already quite aggressive.
Wild: I think [Hearthstone Card (E.T.C., God of Death) Not Found] is going to be more of a... niche card. Wild doesn't actually have that many good rush cards... That die on the same turn. Most Rush related Wild cards are either draw, like [Hearthstone Card (Town Crier[Hearthstone Card (or based on rush minions surviving a turn. (Spirit of the Rhino, Redband Wasp and Darius Crowley. The only big synergy i see is that E.T.C., God of Metal is pretty good alongside Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, because Dr. Boom, Mad Genius gives all mechs rush, and has a hero power that summons 3 1/1 mechs. Thats 6 face dmg for 2 mana.
(Ugh writing all those [Hearthstone Card (E.T.C., God of Death) Not Found]s is tiring… lol.)
Edit: Trump confirmed in the video "New deck defining cards! Darkmoon Faire Review #2 I Hearthstone" that minions that got rush as an enchantment (From Animated Broomstick and Dr. Boom, Mad Genius) DO count as rush minions, and trigger E.T.C., God of Metal. So that's really nice! (He said this in his video at 16:56, in case you want to look it up.)

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Would it work with broom as burst for board-centric (pirate) deck? If it does and you have a board that already can attack, drop this and broom and you have 2-card savage roar in warrior (maybe better since it can act as a finisher because you don't actually need ready minions).
Edit: just watched the reveal, probably not possible since they haven't used broomed minions in the end.
We've learned that the 1/4 stat line on early minions is quite strong but this effect is really specific to decks with rush minions that want to push face damage. With strong support cards this card is probably the nuts. Without them there is just no reason to play it. Let's see what they give us.
Can definitely be used as another way for Galakrond Warrior to end games. Right now, the deck faces the issue of not being able to actually finish off opponents fast enough and this card represents a Fireball to the face when played alongside activated Scion of Ruin while being itself a tanky minion for its cost.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL) Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906

2 mana 1/4 is already a pretty good statline. If you only get 2 damage off of it then I guess it's okay. 4 damage and it is above average. But if you can get 6 damage then it becomes an insane amount of burst damage for an aggro deck. And with cards like Restless mummy and Scion of Ruin, getting a good amount of damage out of this guy shouldn't be too difficult.
The effect might seem boring for a Legendary, but this often tricks people into thinking they're bad. What is slightly weird about this card is that the statline is very defensive, yet the effect is aggressive, although I suppose that might help it survive. There's definitely a combo out there by somehow summoning a bunch of cheap Rush minions. Whether or not minions that gain Rush an an enchantment count will be a determining factor.
If minions that gain Rush as an enchantment count (which according to the wording "Rush minions" would not, but Team 5 is not always consistent with this), then you could do some pretty silly things with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius or Animated Broomstick.
A new Legendary Warrior Minion, E.T.C., God of Metal, has been revealed!

This post is discussing the wild format.
They have been pushing this Rush warrior thingy, but I don't think this is what makes it good... in fact not at all...

Good to see ETC back, though I think this is low impact.
This is the support that Rush has been needing. Now if only there was a decent way to protect it for a turn

Carrion, my wayward grub.
You can do a 28 damage combo with Inner Rage and a single Emperor Thaurissan tick on 4 cards: This, Faceless Manipulator, Mad Summoner, and Animated Broomstick.
Aw yeah, heavy metal!

We need to see what else is coming before we can really evaluate this. If warrior gets anything like Expendable Performers, this could be insane.
