Can anyone explain why Whimsy! has "Silence" attached to it? Isn't transforming a follower into a 1/1 Squirrel with no text or keywords already silencing it in a way?
If the Silence effect remained permanent after the round ended and the follower transformed back, then it would make sense. Transform and Silence just seems unnecessary.
It's possible that the silence persists on any other spells until the end of round--i.e., you can't just save your unit by casting Fury of the North on it.
I don't think it is about that because Fury of the North would make the Squirrel 5/5 anyways. Silence isn't an ongoing mechanic. It is just one time and the card is Burst spell which will silence it before any effect.
It might be about new keyword Spellshield but on that case, I feel like it should have been worded as "Silence and transform ..." Like how Earth Shock is in Hearthstone.
If decktracker is cheating for a card game, WhatsApp is cheating for life that remembers all of conversations and lets you remember when you open chat log so you can call out some bad conversations after 5 years from reading them from there.
You don't even need a pencil and paper to do what Decktracker does. You can track with your brain, You can count cards, try to remember which cards your opponent plays and how long they are holding those cards etc.
I think Enrage move was good because there is no difference between "Give a damaged minion +2 attack" and "Give an Enraged minion +2 Attack.". It just complicates the consistency and was a good choice to remove from game if you don't want to produce cards like "Draw an Enrage minion from your deck" or sth. like that and they don't seem like they want to produce such a card.
the probabilities you and me building all same homedeck is so less and even 1 card is different than yours, its not a mirror match because it may become advantage at some point. So yes, mirror matches are just because of netdecks.
So those hero portraits in datamined infos are for this battle pass system ? Because much of them is for jaina or uther which are basic hero portraits and now it makes more sense.
I know it is a bit early to claim anything about any decks. I could afford stealth cards after openning my packs and wanted to try it out. I got 9-1 with this deck on plat 9. Maybe someone got these cards from packs and can't afford any others right now so wanted to share it out.
If you want, you can replace Wand Thiefs and/or Blackjack Stunners with Backstabs and/or Sinister Strikes, I won't completely suggest that tho because Blackjack Stunner gives you the ability of getting rid of fat taunt minions and Wand Thief gives you some burn spells and also Evocation.
Also, If you don't have Shadowjeweler Hanar, You may want to replace secret package with some aggro tools like Cold Blood and/or Sneaky Delinquent. I wouldn't suggest that neither because Bamboozle is great with your 1 health minions and they stick to board thanks to new Robes of Protection and also Ambush is great for getting rid of some sticky taunt minions.
I couldn't get Secret Passage for now, It might be great to go lethal with searching Eviscerates from your deck. As soon as i crafted them, I will test it in this deck.

I was also expecting that Onyx Magescribe will be one of the best cards in the arena and I'm quite happy to see how it became effective. It is also great in consturcted tbh. Even in rogue, it does quite wonderful stuff.
Btw, That's a bit sad that Shadowstep won't work with Spellburst minions. That's a correct effect tho since returnin hand effect occurs before spellburst but i still tried and conceded afterwards. :)
Ngl, Argent Braggart surprised me, even in constructed. I still think of that the card is a bit underwhelming. I didn't pick Paladin but face of some and I saw that it acts well enough in Arena also in some constructed matches but I need to experience it by myself to say anything about it. Seems interesting.
the problem with Countess Ashmore, if we compare it with The Curator is not having a keyword on itself. They might make vice-versa tho, like How The Curator pulls tribes and having a keyword, Countess Ashmore should have drew keywords and should have a keyword like "Dragon" and it would have nice flavor for The Curator. :)

I didn't get it why they put it in shops in hurry before the expansion officially released. I remember like they made it for Ashes of Outland just after official release.
Well, I still use Varian Wrynn in wild and he still wins some games by himself but I know that people expects more from him and I had expected more too because its RNG element of sometimes he draws only spells decreases the consistency element. I still think People used Varian Wrynn in a wrong archetype for using him to cheat big minions. He is better in an Aggro deck with Leeroy Jenkins and Kor'kron Elites and Grommash Hellscream and maybe with Inner Rage(since it is the only 0 mana spell in warrior) as a finisher, rather than using it for cheating big minions like how Dr. Boom is used in Zoo decks. Yeah, in that time, Warrior doesn't have so much aggro stuff but right now, it is still good if you ask me. And yeah, you would probably say "Aggro is dead if you didn't win until 10 mana", You might be right as well but my own experience with this card doesn't say the same tbh.
For cheating bigger minions, Dimensional Ripper and The Boom Reaver had already outclassed Varian Wrynn, btw. It doesn't even give minions rush, so it is better to use him for finishing the game rather than trying to make a tempo swing.
Also, It is worth for its theme music ! That's wonderful;
I wish, This was one of the background theme for Hearthstone. That poor card deserves more love to be played. You know, you don't play this game only for wins, do you ? Sometimes, I only play with this card just for hearing this theme in the game.
Please Blizzard, Make him a battleground Hero and add this theme to somewhere in BG. :D

I don't think so. It multiplies the combination probabilities. Also, that's not the reason of the mirror matches, it is just because of netdecks.
Shame that Hunterace doesn't have Ace Hunter Kreen in his own deck. :P

it guarantees 4 legendaries if you didn't open any legendaries from Year of the Dragon pack and Ashes of Outland pack before.
So a new player who will start the game tomorrow will get 4 legendaries from this bundle. Nice catch-up value for newer players.
