BloodMefist - Efficacious Inqusitor seems a bit too derivative to my liking. The added left most condition makes it slightly more interesting but at the end its still a spell on a stick. Witty Witchdoctor harkens back to the big shaman archetype blizzard forgot about for some years now. Sadly I think it's anti synergistic with itself. If you have 2 of them in the deck you risk transforming into the second copy. And this itself is a rather bad minion to get off Eureka! or Muckmorpher so it wouldn't be played in those decks.
Demonxz95 - Wave of Evolution strangely would probably be more played in an agrro deck. A weirder Embiggen for shaman. 3 drops for 1 mana, but you keep your card draw spells and burn. Well that's besides the point of the feedback. It's a decent card, might get downvited because of Deck of Lunacy PTSD. Faceless Envoy is strange to evaluate. Mostly it is the same as Flobbidinous Floop, but you dont get battlecries off. You probably meant it to be used in big minion combos which would work, and in that case it's a more restrictive Eternal Servitude.
anchorm4n - They aren't from WoW no. This is a legendary I created for a custom class which is themed around dragonborns and people with dragon ancestors. Funnily enough its super close to the Dracthyr that were revealed recently in WoW. Yara and Balgruf in my invented lore are a human and a dragon that fell in love and are one of the couples responsible for the existence of half dragon hybrids. I dont strive much, or at all to have hearthstone-like card art, mainly cause I dont like hearthstone card art in general lol. It looks like the cartoony art on the cardboard packaging of plastic action figures at the supermarket. Not that it's all bad, some is cool. I'll should stop ranting about this probably.
linkblade91 - I like the idea behind the card but the SI7 connection feels a bit forced. It should turn only into minions imo to better fit the double agent vibe, and it should be a legendary (poor Chameleos)
anchorm4n - i hate it cause it would make Shudderwock decks even more frustrating. It's just a bit too much hard removal packed into a single card without any downside or requirement.
Wailor - I adore the art and i beg you to use it still for other ideas. The polymorph on hero power is not too great i fear. Mage has several ways to make their hp cost 0 and spam it on more targets in a single turn. This would become a new auto include hard removal combo in every control mage deck just like shaman does with [Hearthstone Card (Toxifin) Not Found] and [Hearthstone Card (Firamancer Murgl) Not Found]. An idea maybe worth trying something that poymorphs your own things in a good way. Sheep army. fear the sheep.
Hope this counts. Basically when you draw the legendary you get these 2 minions in hand. This lets you play half of the minion early in case you need to control the board or feel it could survive to get the big minion earlier than turn 8. When they reunite and transform, it's a brand new minion with rush so you can attack with it right away.
Made the quest a bit more interesting and hard to complete. The different mana cost requirement works better with the actual reward and it asks you to keep track of the values yourself. Of course it's possible the enemy does not have minions of 5 different costs but most shadow spells can target friendly minions too, or damage them anyway as they are bilateral boardclears. Could use this to resummon specific minions you want with L'ura for just 5 mana and do some combo!
New idea. No one here decided to go down the hero power reward path of Uldum so i made this. Why warrior and druid? Well, worgens are connected to druids lore wise. As for warrior... idk, armor and attacking stuff i guess. The idea is that you basically have a 2 part her power. You can only use the human form if you triggered the worgen form. Of course you can just go face with the worgen form, but the quest is viable as both control and aggro strategies.
Demonxz95 - It's strange seeing Darius on a hunter card lol. Volcanic Forging seems a bit op as it's Mind Blast each turn at worst, and even more toxic immovable object at best (Bulwark of Azzinoth!!!). Legion Expedition seems ok balance wise but i'd suggest different art. The crystal alcoves i like cause it reminds me of Dragon Soul. This at least seems to be playable. One day my precious....
CursedParrot - Not a fan of cards that are basically "add this older cooler card to your hand".
linkblade91 - Mad Summoner into Hagatha's Scheme otk. Idea is cool, near impossible to balance sadly. And i think shaman has had enough game winning quest rewards, right? xD
MrRhapsody - Giving all minions charge is a really bad idea (see Mr. Smite). The second reward doesn't really have synergy with the quest requirements. I guess it works for eggs but on the warrior side the enrage and self damage minions kinda suffer.
A lore friendly quest to two classes that loves hitting their own minions. Just to be clear, to advance the quest you would need to directly deal the damage, minions surviving damage would not count towards quest progression. Kinda feel like it is too week right now, so I would like a second opinion on that matter.
If anything this seems too OP. A single Whirlwind or Rain of Fire will complete it if you have 4 or 3 minions. The random demon part is the scariest because most of the time you will get a huge body for just 2 mana. Even a 3/4 would be huge but you can regularly pop out stuff over 6 mana.
Miracle of Shadows is hard to analyse how OP would be. I am certain there is a possible broken combo somewhere but I cant think of it.
I like Keep the Balance more but the wording needs help. The way it is makes me think I need spells that have 2 spell schools. 5 health per turn might also be a bit too much, 3 seems more balanced.
This is the first idea i had. Common Shadow synergy between warlock and priest, some resummoning and minion stealing, all in all a simple mesh of themes.
This one i foresee people hating because people hate secrets. Maybe 10 secrets at once it's too much given rogue has bounces. Might make it a spell.
I wanted to do a different class combo for the 3rd idea but then i saw link say you can't make a Xal'atath quest. WELL I CAN! Control focused card with the theme of board clears that priest and warlock have so many of. And the reward basically makes the enemy hero have 15 max hp, making it easier to finish them off.
Feedback:
linkblade91 - Looking for Group is a great idea, but i feel Teamfight tactics might be a bit OP. I can see this very easily spiraling out of control. Control the skies is a much nicer one and the reward is cool. 7 cards might be too much through but i suppose to make use of the reward you'd want to stuff as many armor cards as you can.
To attract more people, I believe having the competition panel be present on the main homepage would help immensely. I mean the main homepage, not just the hearthstone one. We do have hearthstone achievement guides pinned at the top of the article list already so the argument that non hearthstone people would be annoyed doesn't stand. Weekly "invitation" articles could help too.
I don't know why the custom scene has died out so much. I remember when there were 7 or so pages of discussion on hearthpwn. I really hope it bounces back, I adore these competitions.
Finalist voting also fucks me over at times and the number of people voting 1 stars is strange indeed. There are some individuals with very polarised opinions. Alone it wouldn't matter much, but since finalist voting has so few voters it can get skewed. At the whelp competition, there were 12-13 votes in the finals per card. In the normal phase there were 25-37 votes per card. That's more than a 50% loss in voters.
Another idea is having the finalist phase be advertised by an article on the main page. And you can put the cards in a grid with the stars beneath just like when you have card reveals.
Basically, hit an enemy and you'll damage yourself as well, or hit yourself/friendly minion directly to draw a card.
Wailor - I love infinite Whelp, however it might be slightly too good for an epic given he's essentially a better Vanessa VanCleef. Onyxia's Brat is fine too.
MrRhapsody - Lord Nefarious is OP in druid with Scale of Onyxia. Corrupted Onyxia is nice on flavor but a board full of dragons is again very very strong. Dragonqueen Alexstrasza only have you 3 dragons really. Raid Boss Onyxia is very played today so corrupting a 9 mana card is not that hard. And again, druid. Single Broodmother for me is the best, a 5 star card. Love the flavor, the effect is powerful but not OP, overall great.
AeroJulwin - Paladin indeed doesn't really have much whelp generating cards. I feel in general this Whelp buff effect is just too narrow to be good, cause it only really has synergy with 2 or 3 cards total. Also priest rarely if ever has divine shields.
linkblade91 - Interesting idea! Never seen this before. not sure if it's too good or not, could really do some swingy turns with a bunch of burst from Wrathscale Naga, then dropping 2 Ur'zul Giant for free. Still, i like it.
Demonxz95 - Does it work like High Abbess Alura? If so it's even stronger than her before her nerf. you get 2 of them and it doesn't rely on the Spellburts. Admittedly the whelp is weaker than a 3/6. Best outcomes are Tip the Scales, Libram of Hope, Dinosize, Spikeridged Steed. IMO it's too good at 4 mana and the fact it doesn't actually use the spell. The idea is solid though, if you can balance it.
Marvel's been on the decline lately. The MCU popularity took a hit with the latest somewhat underwhelming films, and people in general got a bit fed up with the whole superhero stuff. I fear this game, even if it is well designed, may be just too late. There are some big competitors for them to challenge, like MTg, Hearthstone and Legends of Runeterra.
I agree with all what anchorm4n said. Finalist voting feels bad and too low engagement, more rating options would be awesome and some 2nd place and 3rd place rewards could be good for attracting new people. I personally suggest we at least increase the Finalist stage from 1 day to 2, just to squeeze in a few more votes.
And i know it would be very hard to do, but i really wish for a big comp again. A custom class or custom expansion competition.
Changed it to an epic with slightly bad stats. I also had a second idea which is more a meme but hell, why not? Axes and Swords we have plenty, hammers less so for warrior. But still enough to complete the requirement (The Unstoppable Force, Supercollider, Blacksmithing Hammer, Sulfuras, etc.)
AeroJulwin - Not bad, effect is pretty nice. However i fail to see the flavor connection.
Arkasaur - Grim Incantations is cool, though on the weaker side i'd say. Compare to Twisted Knowledge. True that one also discovers minions but it could be argued that's a good thing rather than bad. At best your card will discover 3 spells (fire, fel and shadow), so for Standard maybe it's enough. Gift of N'Zoth is better imo but R raises a correct issue. I'd say given how Tent Trasher works with amalgams that it would only count for 1 tribe per amalgam, and it always selects one you haven't played yet. Kinda like a Joker at poker. Also, very kinky art :P
Well, never make cards at 2 in the morning folks! Here's some ideas that actually respect the rules xD
Cauterize works just like old Alexstrasza does, meaning it's 20 "injured" health.
Not sure if Buried in Ice is allowed. It does freeze, but i'm certain it's not the kind of freezing the rules forbid.
Still very silent here...
Damn slow week huh?

Many exams, sorry for low engagement from me.
If you have 7 cards in hand, you gain 3 coins and summon a 7 cost dragon. If you have 2 cards in hand you get 8 coins and summon a 2 cost dragon.

It does not. Explosive Trap only counts as one but hits up to 8 targets. Barbed Nets only count as one.
This is beyond meme. this is a whole new level. They maybe won't be the best cards in the game but damn if they aren't the funniest.
Adjusted the text slightly, maybe it looks better now.
Basically, hit an enemy and you'll damage yourself as well, or hit yourself/friendly minion directly to draw a card.
Abyssal curse buffs YES! By far my favorite deck this expansion and now it may even win some games!
Buffs are the best thing they can do. Turning bad cards into good is 100 times better feeling than turning good cards bad.
Well almost all the devs at Second Diner are ex Hearthstone devs. Course they could make something new, but it feels unlikely.
