Outright powercreep over Unsleeping Soul. Blizzard really want to push Silence Priest to be a thing? Might have to wait till the mini-set or next expansion for it to really shine I feel.
Will definitely be a staple in Mechadin going forward. Paladin will be doing a lot of dredging with The Leviathan so getting the Sunken Mooncatcher will be relatively easy
I am hoping the Abyssal Curses are more potent than everyone is predicting. If you're taking 5 or more damage from a curse, you'd better cast it instead which basically uses up 2 mana for nothing which can screw up your turn.
Yup, have to agree on this one, I don't see any of these archetypes being that great for DH but that's honestly just fine. Illidan can always wait till the mini set or next expansion
Pirate Admiral Hooktusk is gonna be the new Tickatus but much more annoying depending on the current game situation. I really enjoy this direction for pirates other than extreme aggro, so gonna have a lot of fun with Hooktusk for the foreseeable future.
I do enjoy this approach to the card reviews. Reviewing grouped cards paired with the new core set really helps to understand what archetypes will be good in the upcoming meta. Keen to see more of these types of reviews going forward.
Alas, I was incorrect as the amount of new cards introduced into the core set is somewhat...small. Also, some mech synergistic cards were removed from the 2021 core set like Cogmaster so honestly have no idea what Team 5's philosophy is around the core set anymore.
From what I understand with Arena rotations, they try group sets thematically, like how the current rotation is dragon focused with the release of Onyxia's Lair.
As for this rotation, personally I'd group the league of explorers sets together. So instead of UiS and FaV, we should have Un'goro and SoU
Blizzard could've just replaced Shadowstep with another rogue card for the core set. Would've resulted in no nerfs and no free dust, so I'm surprised they didn't go that route.
Priest probably got the best and most hilarious flavor text

Azsharan Ritual - The harmonious silence surrounding the ritual was unceremoniously BROKEN when HAROLD began eating stale potato chips.
Handmaiden - Why did she unspool the last roll of royal toilet paper?!
Whispers of the Deep - And in the darkest of depths, the sailor heard a command from inside his own mind? ?You will also buff my original card to 9 Mana.?
Maybe there's a Mech Hand Buff Paladin that uses this guy along with Prismatic Jewel Kit? It seems possible and will definitely try it out coz I love the mechanical lobster art.
All future naga decks will 100% want to run this minion. And the fact that the mana discount persists across multiple turns makes it even more desirable.
This is definitely balanced at 2 mana, would've been broken at 1. Mech Mage and Paladin will definitely want to utilize this neutral minion. As long as mech archetypes are good in standard, this will see play.

Probably the least exciting Colossal for me. Guess it can fit into a Control Priest or Reno Priest but it's nothing really exciting

Oh yay Tavern crawl is out, and just in time!
Hope there's more of the trailer cinematic music

Sunk that word search in no time! Now it's time to dredge up some card reviews!

Can confirm the arena drafts are still Epic favored. Got offered Embiggen 4 times in my last draft
Good point, but there's always playtesting to find out!
