Its not really that bad, but its the sort of card that really gets better as better spells are introduced. At the moment, hunter can't really draw fast enough to justify a Violet Teacher turn, and their spells are hardly cheap enough that this can reliably get more than 2 hyenas out in the same turn.
For now, its decent. But hardly in the same vein as Phase Stalker levels of good.
In standard, I can't really say what druid intends to do with this card. Druid isn't really low on draws, and they ramp up fast enough that cards like these are simply aren't impactful to bother with.
Unless there's like a major beast down the reveal line, I can't see any druid playing this.
Step 2: Proceed to design a 0 mana spell that can reliable freeze at least 2 minions
Sometimes I wonder if the dev teams are working on so many things simultaneously they don't even notice stuff like this.
This card is just insane in so many ways. Develop minion, play this and instantly switch tempo in your favor. The only mitigating factor would be the paltry fact that it hits random targets, but good players would know how to maximize chances anyway. Besides which, its 0 mana. You can do any number of things and still be able to play this card.
Its basically to make up for Murloc Warleader in standard. But there needs to be more murlocs before shaman can get fishy again.
To be honest, had this been a paladin card it would have been nuts, since paladin still have some of the best murlocs around in Murglgle and Imprisoned Sungill
Outside of murlocs, its just Blessing of the Ancients without the twinspell. In other words, just not good enough.
Played all the pokemon games up until the remake of the 3rd generation. Generally watch the VGS (tournament) So here's my opinion;
- The pokemon games have not really innovated much throughout, like really little. Typical of Nintendo games anyway. It used to be quite exciting to catch these things and then level them up for those sweet evolves. But as the year go by I have to admit that the gameplay is really lacking the same hype as it used to since red and blue. Most pokemon games gradually decent into grind fests, and me with very little time nowadays just cant handle that anymore.
- The animations were brutally slow. Thank god there's an option to omit it altogether. See that hearthstone? That's an option you should absolutely give us.
As for DiamondPearl:
- Pokemon design wise, well, its decent-ish. Best designs were up until the 3rd generation and everything went downhill from there. Unfortunately DiamondPearl's pokemon designs were weak, to me anyway.
- Team Galatic's arc were alright. It wasn't as silly as team rocket, but man that main villain.
- I don't know why from gen 2 onwards all your rivals were super nice to you. I really just prefer a Gary-like rival where we just do battle and he gets frustrated after I kick his ass.
Its certainly not the best pokemon game I've played (gen 3 will capture that title) but it was an engaging distraction.
The effect is basically just Thaurissan for one, and only for spells at that. At 3 health, its never going to survive more than 1 attack, so unless you can give this card windfury or dormancy, its just ticking for 1 nearly every time.
Is it good? Perhaps in control pally. But in everywhere else, its kinda like a decent-ish card but certainly not a build around. Sort of like a card you put in because you can rather than a real powerhouse.
Sadly this has to be a 4 mana card which means no Kazakus shenanigans if this is good. And boy is this one good. Librams are already cheap and you can absolutely chain Libram of Wisdom with broom to basically just have full board around turn 5-6. And you get that with 2 cards. Against aggro decks, that's basically the nail in the coffin unless they have some sort of board clear.
The real question is whether this can replace Pen Flinger, and I'm not exactly sure on that. In certain matches this card is simply better but pen flinger makes a good argument for itself by being good overall in most matches.
I'll say this card sees play, there's very little reason why it shouldn't. But it might take a while
Probably its an inclusion into aggro pally decks, but I'm a little torn over its high cost. At 4 mana, you're essentially passing a turn, and unlike Survival of the Fittest, which this card will inevitably be compared with, +1+1 is hardly going to ever get you board back if you don't already have it, and paladin obviously don't cheat mana in the same way druid does.
The idea is to reduce the cost with Roame so at very least it can be sort of a weaker board buff card for sometimes lethal. On its own, its sort of like a win-more card. Play this while you have board and win. No board, no glory.
This card is insane amounts of value, basically its doubling your shadow spells effect, and you get to choose whether to play it.
But shadow spells in warlock are pretty much confined to a few good cards like Mortal Coil, Siphon Soul and Drain Soul, so there's that I guess. Wish it would give out random shadow spells instead, but guess it would be too good otherwise.
Just another case of an absolutely insane value card that's just a little iffy in the wrong class. Would have been crazy good in priest, but oh well.
Its basically going to trigger your deathrattles and clear most of the board, or its just going to do 2 damage to everywhere in exchange for a token. Either way, this card is better than it looks.
Maybe handlock can use some deathrattles like Nerubian Eggs or just plain Loot Hoarder to go well with this card.
Nice to get off discover, absolutely trash as a standalone card included into a deck.
It'll never be placed into decks unironically, but its effect isn't too bad. You get to either heal or deal 1 extra damage and that has to count for something.
Wandmaker might see inclusion into rogue decks so you'll likely see this card more often than not via there.
Its bad, and if you're wondering why this card has to be as bad as it is its because the 1 mana slot in rogue next meta is absolutely insane. This one mellows Wandmaker by a little, so let's be thankful for small mercies.
But is it really as bad as it looks? Well, maybe not THAT bad. If you already have a weapon, then why not just fish for a better hp that you can use for free? That's effectively healing for 4 in 2 turns for 0 mana with either warrior or priest's hp. At very worst this gives you an option to ping for 0 mana.
I wouldn't put this in my rogue decks, but getting it off of generation or wandmaker wouldn't set me to tears neither.
Well, with Tamsin Roame being so handy, all shadow spells must automatically get a second consideration because now you can cast it as many times as you like in that turn. Something feels wrong here. Either Im misstating the effect, which is to effectively just put the same shadow spell in your hand that cost 0 (which then can be casted again for the same effect), or there's some catch somewhere.
Grimoire of Sacrifice is actually interesting as a deathrattle activator. The deathrattle should actually take place after the spell has concluded, there's no indication that it wont.
The only other interesting card here is Veteran Warmedic, which assuming that librams are holy spells, is absolutely crazy. You can chain 2/2s all day with broom and a 0 mana Libram of Wisdom. Will it be better than Pen Flinger though, that's another question entirely. But its certainly nothing to snuff at.
Cariel Roame, Invigorating Sermon to me is gimmicky at best. Sermon is too expensive at 4 mana, and cariel's health is low enough that its safe to say you'll never see her attacking more than once, so that's basically just a one mana discount. Maybe in a control pally deck she'll find true value, but Im doubtful everywhere else.
From crab to scorpion, to...lizard? Like that's a jump you dont see everyday.
The effect is somewhat underwhelming mostly because Tundra Rhino is no longer standard. Strangely, this is one card that's decent at the start, and gets progressively iffy as it upgrades, mostly due to the fact that hunters dont tend to last until the late game.
To me its Lock and Load fodder. 2 mana summon a 2/2 or a 4/4 rush and generate a random hunter card is about as good it can get with this card.
I kinda agree that its likely to be something you want to stumble on via generation. But with the core set being weaker now, its not entirely out of the picture for a big boy with taunt on 6 to be a legit good play.
A small comment on Ogremancer. I happen to know that some pros used it during the scholomance meta to counter the deluge of mage, priest and rogues. I used it myself. Kinda funny to see it rise again in ranked after the last masters tour a few days ago.
But its just a decent card that only really counters tempo-aggro. Most burn decks would want to avoid killing it, as long as they can hit face and the healing will likely be too slow in those matches. Im doubtful because cards like these tend never to make the cut, but with the core set being so weak it may be that playing cards like this past turn 5 is now legit.
Its likely more relevant in wild with Gonk, the Raptor.
In standard, I can't really say what druid intends to do with this card. Druid isn't really low on draws, and they ramp up fast enough that cards like these are simply aren't impactful to bother with.
Unless there's like a major beast down the reveal line, I can't see any druid playing this.
The new most hated card in mage has just been invented.
Its either going to be nerfed because of the heat it gets from the community, or its just going to be cancerous everywhere it goes.
Step 1: Take away Frost Nova
Step 2: Proceed to design a 0 mana spell that can reliable freeze at least 2 minions

Im not really keen on cards that delete your deck, and I think its too expensive for what it does once you factor in the cost and the card advantage.
Its likely only ever going to see play via discover effects, and even then I think its unlikely to ever see any use.
Its a nice little tool to have, but to me its likely to be just Lock and Load fodder, to be played precisely because lock and load exist.
On its own, its decent. But we'll have to see what identity hunter will get since face hunter is more or less dead.
Thanks, missed out that crucial factor.
So you cant chain the same spells. Oh well, there goes my value dreams.
