  • Its a blood control card. Viable only in that deck because all other DK decks either dont care about corpses or generate them far better.

Still, banking 2 mana just to gain 3 corpses is probably only ever doable in a control deck and only in the early game. I'd imagine this card not making the cut even in blood control because of space issues, but it certainly has a chance anyway.

  • Your standard rainbow plague removal option. Because let's be real here, this card is weaker than both Plague Strike and Frost Strike. If the plagues aren't good, or if Steamcleaners are everywhere then this card might just get dropped.

On top of that its rune requirement practically guarantees that it stays only in rainbow decks. Just a sad case of being a fairly weak card that has no chance because of an impossible rune requirement restriction.

  • Drawing cards for your opponent never works and never will be good, even if they cant play those 2 cards next turn.

Dont think this will ever work outside of being a plague trigger. Because if it doesn't bring out plagues this card just straight up sets you up to lose.

  • Rainbow will be banking on this card to be good because I dont think it can function if it doesn't.

Basically that one card you need to stabilize, because rainbow dont tend to keep tempo very well. Really dont like the frost run requirement here, because it might actually just end up making this card never see play despite its power level.

  • Dangerous card because its a deathrattle and Death Growl exist.

But this card being a 2 unholy rune card makes it fairly unviable, because you cant play this in rainbow, and if youre building a plague deck chances are good you want to go BBU instead of UUB.

And of course, if plagues are good then Steamcleaner completely invalidates this card altogether. Nasty.

  • This is another one of those lol cards that'll never realistically work.

Banking 2 mana for forge is bad enough, here's a card that will only ever be useful if you do it multiple times. In what deck or game will you ever accumulate enough time or mana to make this work?

Useful for that inevitable forge spam achievement, but I doubt it'll work in competitive.

  • There's simply never going to be enough plagues to ever make this 0 mana consistently, so we might as well write that off.

So, is there any place for a maybe 5 mana 8/5 reborn rush minion that only ever shows up in the late game? Well...maybe not. The main issue is that unholy dont typically go slow, so this card might well be redundant.

And if youre playing plagues, then you're likely looking for defensive cards that come with as few conditions as possible, this card just isn't it. But I concede if plagues are really good it'll see play, because why not.

  • Irrespective of the other plague cards, this one card might well just be enough firepower to guarantee the game as long as you stay alive.

And that's the sticking point isnt it. The main problem of this card is that its an unholy card and so cannot be slotted into blood control (thank god) and if you want to play even slightly more controlling deck with this then you'll have to go BBU or full blown rainbow, which we all know sucks currently.

So while Im optimistic about this card's power level, Im not so optimistic that it'll see any play because playing a DK deck that doesn't jam the triple rune cards is by itself a handicap. But there might still be hope for rainbow to actually do something other than a mishmash of poor elements in DK.

Most likely team5 might make this card undiscoverable, because Im 100% sure that's what blood control will be aiming to do.

  • The plague cards look good...but much like many DK cards, their viability depends on a multitude of things and that begins with whether you can build a control deck out of unholy, or if rainbow DK is going to be any good.

And in my opinion, looking at the cards we have currently, Im not optimistic. There's yet to be any obvious payoff for not playing the triple rune cards as it stands, and the current iterations of rainbow deck is nowhere near good enough in standard.

But if my assessment proves incorrect and somehow the plagues work...well, we still have Steamcleaner

  • They could've just made the hero power summon voltron for 3 mechs instead of having it flip every turn. That way we're incentivized to get better, stronger mechs instead of spamming with galvanizer.

But I think team5 knew exactly what they were doing. The whirlwind in the decks more or less prove they wanted us to spam bots for an early voltron. I think what they didn't expect was people conceding early so no one's having any fun.

  • Lol no.

Yeah, guess that it. Play this card only if youre desperate for friends and a good laugh.

  • 1 drop that gives out a powerful utility magnetic minion? Hell yes.

If youre playing mechs you'll slot this in immediately. And if youre not playing mech, there might not be too many reasons not to also try this card out. A good one drop that's at very least not completely worthless in the mid-late game.

  • Just another one of those snowballing 1 drops, of which is mandatorily required to be printed each expansion apparently.

So is this good. Yes. Will it see play, probably yes. Your opponent would probably not hesitate to throw the kitchen sink at it.

  • Not a shit card by any means, but with the lack of elemental cards in standard this card might as well sit on the corner anyway.

It might get better as more elementals are introduced (or brought back to standard) but at current moment its just another maybe card that might creep its way into menagerie but nowhere else.

  • Just another lol card that causes head scratching.

Like seriously, in what world does team5 think a 4/4 rush on 3 is worth 4 damage to your face?

Alternatives: Twin-fin Fin Twin, Redgill Razorjaw are better rush cards that does the job. Yes, granted both are not likely to survive the attack, but is this really worth 4 damage to face to leave a low health 4 attack minion on board?

  • Arena filler. There's no reason to expect a card like this to be played unless beast decks gets really good next expansion.

The fact that this card scales badly over time means it's only specifically good against tempo decks and only on turn 3. So many conditions makes for a shit card.

  • I appreciate that its deathrattle support, but in today's hearthstone its a tad too slow. Perhaps way too slow to be of any good to anything except unholy deathrattle DK.

The thing is Teron Gorefiend does better than this card and still saw no play. Im not exactly sure this card would creep anywhere further than old gorefiend did

  • Just play Acolyte of Pain, its more or less going to be the same.

Except this card doesn't guarantee a draw, cost 1 more, making it an inferior card draw option even if for some reason its preferred over acolyte of pain. Cant see this one ever being more than arena filler.

  • I honestly think this card is great for control decks, and even in non-control slower decks because it comes with taunt and cannot be stopped with silence.

Just play it out on 4, your opponent would need an answer or they tank its 7 health. It'll take at least 2 minions to take this down, and at the end isn't this just a winning play?

  • Its either going to be in mech decks or be a combo piece for voltron prime. Either way, this card does one thing only and fortunately, its pretty good at it.

Drawing a card and discounting your next minion, with a decently stated body on 5. Its not too bad. Just a shame that outside of mech decks its really just too inconsistent to ever be good.
