I'm not really clear on why people want the dust system revamped - not criticizing the point, I honestly just don't see a problem with it. Anyone care to enlighten me?
The economy of the game sucks, you can't normally experiment with new decks yourself because it's very expensive and if you don't wanna be stuck with bad decks you would just wait for the data.. it creates the influx of net decking..
Yep, 12 wins is really hard to get you should be rewarded accordingly. Up the rewards in arena in general you need to sink at least a hour for a 5+ wins run.. That's the main reason why I don't play arena, the rewards suck.
I said it multiple times already I believe that the best solution to the problem is to make packs less garbage.
Change the chance of getting a 40 dust pack from the most common scenario to an edge case and have epics show up every 3rd pack rather than every 5th..
Also would be great if arena rewarded you a legendary every time you get 12 wins.. Instead of random gold..
Also, I'd recommend the one Freljord spell that buffs two allies for 3 health permanently, since you want to keep your guys alive for as long as possible.
Well If I am running freljord I might as well run alpha wildcat it's a +1/+1 Darius without the need to level up, I might want to run bloodsworn pledge.. maybe.. but I don't have any copy of that card and I am out of rare wild cards :/
shouuld also consider Pack Mentality and more card draw in the form of Avarosan Sentry.
The way I see it your winning strategy is to get a bunch of Yetis out for cheap and then use Trifarian Assessor to refill your hand and outressource your opponent.
Pack Mentality is like For Demacia! but tribal and overwhelm.. it's kind of.. too slow and too win more, if I don't have a lot of yetis or elnuks on the board it's not worth it.. I don't like For Demacia! as a stand alone it leaves you vulnerable to so much stuff by having not much mana to play.
I agree it can be a finisher but I doubt I could find a use for the card.. I Might actually run Might now that you mention the overwhelm finishers.. it's much more flexible.. maybe I will remove the elnuk meme (too highrolly..) and put the Avarosan Sentry and Mights(might also works with the Trifarian Assessor!).

I played expedition mode this week and I tried a new archtype I forgot existed in the game: yetis I didn't do too well in the expedition (got 3 wins) but I got inspired to try and make a working deck for yetis, at first I tried a mono freljord deck but then I realized I should try to include another region.
I tried noxus, also removed some yeti cards which seemed too slow and ended up with 8 yeti cards in the deck in the end.. added elnuks cause elnuks are strong and also fit the theme and the draw engine of the deck (the Trifarian Assessor) with only one buff elnuks will have 5 attack.
Played 2 games.. it felt strong but it might need more tweaking to be truly competitive.. here is what I have so far:
And I am aware nunu is not yet in the game, can we safetly assume he will be added soon though? since there are already many synergies for him (nunu will definitely have the yeti tag)

Such card is tricky to evaluate.. how many turns do you really not attack? (it includes weapons) even in shirvallah OTK you want to attack to defend yourself.. maybe lower to draw 2 it's good enough at that.
Yeah there is some clunky wording here and there.. and they made Commander Ledros wording even less clear.. (but it was worse before!) the problem is that they didn't explain that the effect stayed the same in the patch notes..
about overwhelm.. ye.. it's a confusing keyword by how it's written, but actually striking an enemy doesn't mean he is a blocker, I think it's specifically means the battle phase blocker when you attack on the battle phase..
But let's look at the bright side 95% of the cards are quite clear on what they do.. so they are not doing such a bad job do they?

Also the deck is still VERY playable, so 1. it's not a bad deck and 2. I am not stuck with it because I have more resources.
You missed my point about promoting skill and deck building skills, if most players have full collection or near full collection (which is a realistic goal in LoR and an unrealistic one in HS), you are tested by your ability to build decks (or copy them.. I guess) and pilot/adjust them to the meta in HS you want to tech in Harrison Jones? great pay 1600 dust for it (I have all classic cards it's just an example).
Did Blizzard communicate about galakround shaman getting nerfed AGAIN? I don't think so.. also the deck looked very fun I would craft it if not for the fact Zentimo is rotating out... that sort of nerfing is quite dumb as well Shaman isn't seen at all right now..
In conclusion my point is that refunds are bad for the game if you have better economy to begin with you don't need them, I appreciate Riot's point of view much more than Blizzard's.

I don't think spending 130 bucks every 3 months is ok.

"stupid Blizzard hate".. like there are not enough reasons to despite the Blizzard model, you are stating exactly what is wrong in hearthstone, you are playing the game cause you already invested a lot into it, also you don't get refunds for all that gets nerfed only the specific cards that got nerfed let's say you crafted Zentimo for galakround shaman before the second wave of nerfs, where is the refund? , zentimo also rotates in 2 months (3 when the deck got nerfed).
I don't see why would you want to spend money just because.. I also have some money put into HS, I bought preorders for 1 year, and It still feels bad to craft anything cause it might get nerfed and YOU WON'T GET YOUR DUST BACK.. if they nerf a common or a rare you don't get the dust for the epics and legendaries that are core to the deck.. that's why the refunding policy is BAD and also is the core problem of the economy.. if it had a mmore generous economy balance changes could happen more often and have a better meta.
Why is spending 600 bucks a year on a game legit? and what does it has to do with intellect? if anything it shows addiction and lack of foresight.. You can buy like 20 indie games in steam instead btw and 7 triple A games.. but no, let's buy some packs.. I made the same mistake as you when I was working and had money(now I am a student if you are wondering) but not anymore...
I'm fairly certain Elusive decks are still going to be busted, but at the very least now you don't get completely screwed over when they curve Inspiring Mentor into Greenglade Duo
They didn't want to kill the strategy but they nerfed 3 cards that are 3 copies in any elusive deck! Deny, Inspiring Mentor and Kinkou Lifeblade.

What a stupid claim... you are getting wayyyyy more rewards in LoR you don't need the refunds.. just craft something else.. which you can do when you have more resources..

In hs you are getting choked on rewards you get almost nothing, the refunds are not a good thing I prefer to have more resources in general than have more resources if I happen to have copies of nerfed cards that economy sucks.. hf with Blizzard.

If there was a cap, and probably it's really high, I doubt they would set it as low as 10k or 100k..
I don't like it, it will clutter your collection, also 1000 times is a lot of times..
Would rather have achievements with real rewards, have no interest in full arts, specially since you can view them online.

We are at least 2 years off the period where a rotation is needed though, but it's good they have plans to what to do.
He had a 16/16 life steal tough follower for 5 turns it was a very long game.
I had one ledros in the game but I casted harrowing which didn't get denied and got 2 copies of ledros, then I grinded him with ledroses.
Last boss in expedition btw.

I think this card is overloaded with effects.. should either be a legendary or a class card (suggestion: warlock)
