Chemist is good with Spellcraft to save given stats, but why he is good with Quillboars?
Because after you switch the stats of the minion which has a lot of blood gems on it, game stop seeing the buffs as a result of the gems, and treats it as a result of the Kokkie's switch. So then, after you play Necrolyte to transfer the gems of a minion which was "Kookied' before, the original minion keeps the buffs (because they are result of the switch) and the target minion still gets the original buffs.
So step 1: let's say you played 3 blood gems on a 1/1 Tabby Cat, so we Cat is 4/4
step 2: you use Kooky on the Cat - Cat is still 4/4
step 3: you play Necrolyte and Target the Sellemental positioned next to Tabby Cat - as a result, you get 7/7 Sellemental and 4/4 Tabby Cat, because techically bloodgems were not the reason for Cat's buff anymore.
Now imagine the above on a massive scale, with Darkgaze + other Quills + Hydra / Foe Reaper / Divine Shield minions etc.
I promised to myself I will never buy "just a cosmetics" , already broke it once for Sylvanas skin first time she arrived and it looks like I will do it again. Sorry Bob, but Party Medivh is just too cool. Well played, Blizz.
I think it's more likely going to hinder than help you as a Quest Priest, since this undoes the curve planning you did in the mulligan and using discover effects. Maybe you could argue that you just don't play it if your hand already curves well, but then you need another 3-drop to play on turn 3.
And even if the effect would be a small net-positive, there is still the question of whether it's enough to compensate for the poor stats. For example Venomous Scorpid is more reliable in fixing your hand and provides a better minion on board.
Hi Zelgadis,
Sure, I agree with everything you said :) As I mentioned, I am aware it very doubtful that the card makes an inclusion, I was just playing devil's advocate there and try to think of any usage it may have in any deck, and quest priest seems like the only one for one, as it may actually benefit from the downside of the card.
These cards will always be played (Yogg, Shudder, Tess), because they are just so cool and feel good :D even if this does not end up in the tier 1 deck, we will see it on ladder. I know I will try to make it work if I open it day 1.
the only deck I could see it being played (and that is very, very doubtful, but hey, I am trying to be positive) is new quest priest, as it may help you to actually fill that curve that you need for quest completion - you miss a 4 drop and have bunch of 3 cost card in hand? boom - you either get a 4 cost card for next turn or cost reduction, so win-win for you.
If Barren launched at 30th march, I assume it will be released at 30th May. (2 months exactly)
But since 30th May is Sunday, I believe it will be dropped after. (Closest will be at Tuesday, 1st June / Thursday, 3rd June), with 3 days of card reveal before that, just like Darkmoon Races.
That is what I think too. Another reason is that if it drops early June there will be people who open their monthly rewards before the set is released, so there will be more temptation to buy it if you are out of packs (and just for the record - I do not wish to imply any "Blizz is greed, Blizz BAD" kind of reasoning, I think this is rational business thinking)
WOW :D Thank you for creating this and sharing with us, it was a real pleasure to read it all and analyze your ideas! I used to listen to rock / metal a lot, so many of your cards brought back some nostalgia. Flavour-wise this is probably the best custom expansion I have ever seen!
I am looking forward to your next expansion and am really curios to see how you have your whole year planned.
The overall power level is very high, but the set is so cool, that I do not want to go into details of that. (also if everything is broken - nothing is broken, right?)
One suggestion only - I would remove Twinspell from Geezer's options because it was spell-only effect originally and having it on the minion hurts my sense of integrity. On the other hand I would add Adapt. Is there any particular reason why the latter is missing ?
Hi, I am sure Blizz stated they would not change a "real" HS minion for BG, just rather introduce the new one. All to avoid confusion among the players. They held true to it when they introduced deflecto bot BUT then the rotation came and we have different versions of the same cards in regular HS, so who knows.
edit: this was supposed to be a reply to sinti's comment, but somehow this function does not work for me as intended :(
As a side note, I think it is a really classy first move both from Blizzard and Kripp's side to start withdrawing Kripp from constructed HS events. It has been clear for some time that Kripp is not really as interested in it as he used to be. Of course he is still the big (probably nr 1 with Kibler) HS name, but let's keep him for BG events, where he can truly shine now. Well played!
Why is Savjz STILL blacklisted from these kinds of events? I thought they worked all that out.
Somewhere around a week ago I heard him saying on his stream that Blizz still does not like him criticizing the game and his wife also has her own beef with Blizz, so these could be the reasons.
Why would I ever put the original Deathwing to my deck when this one is just strictly better? With Ysera re-work one can argue, that sometimes the original is better, but here we have a buffed version of the existing card.
I am pretty sure that I make more exp while playing standard ladder than while playing BG. I do not have any numbers to back it up, but I spent last month playing BGs only (+ clearing all the quests) and in February I have only played standard ladder and I am pretty sure I will make more gold this month. I play for about 2-3 hours daily and usually it is enough for me to get 2 levels in one day, while during the BG month 2 levels in one day was a rarity (with the same amount of time play.)
I must admit that I really laughed at myself when I read your comment. I hardly ever play HS with the sound on, so I didn't even think of that, and it seems like obvious way to tell. Thanks!

So this is the second card in the set that summons Voidwalker. More Voidwalker synergy comming?
Yep, let's make Shaman broken again.
If you had not commented o it, I would. Well played :)
Too slow, unless we see some more support to handbuff / DS.

Well played Blizzard!
I agree, Steward is mostly picked up in early game now when you have no better options.
After the nerf it falls into "understated 3/3 minion with possible upsides" category, where the competition is strong: Warleader, Gambler, Packleader
I guess making up is one thing, but starting a cooperation is something else. I would love to see him involved.
Somewhere around a week ago I heard him saying on his stream that Blizz still does not like him criticizing the game and his wife also has her own beef with Blizz, so these could be the reasons.
