    Have you played Battlechasers: Nightwar? It's on Steam, and it's made by the same developers. Some people are concerned this is basically BCN: League Edition, a reskin of their previous game. I'm not worried, because BCN was really good, but it's still something to think about.

    No, I have not. I'll certainly check it out at least before Ruined King is released so I get a better sense of the game. Thanks for the game recommendation

    Actually, Among Us came out earlier on mobile than on PC, I can vouch for that as I was one of the few people who played it before 2020 so why it got nominated is a mystery to me. But since it did get nominated, I think it deserved winning those categories.

    I watched it, and rather than disappointed I felt dissatisfied because the winners were about as expected with TLOU2 winning most of it and I was hoping that other games would at least take a bit more of the awards. It felt like TLOU2 only deserved about 2 of the awards which were the Best Voice Acting and the Best Innovation which made complete sense as the game was a good technical game just not a very good game overall. I wished Legends of Runeterra would have won the Best Mobile Game but no surprise Among Us won that category without much of a challenge (though I think it's not right to nominate a game that's not released in 2020 but oh well). I'm very very very happy that Hades won a few awards at least because I loved that game so much and I think that it had a good chance to win the GOTY despite being an indie game. Overall, this year's awards felt a bit underwhelming but that's just my opinion.

    For the announcements, I'm sad that there's no Elden Ring announcement (I swear that game does not exist). I'm a bit weirded out by the sheer amount of co-op zombie shooters that got announced but they all seemed pretty good so I'm hyped for that. Ruined King which was Riot's RPG game finally got a trailer and I'm hoping it's a good game. The Smash Ultimate announcement was amazing and I got baited for half a second when Sephiroth "stabbed" Mario.

    Honestly speaking, I do understand where OP is coming from. Some animations do just take up too much time and it gets repetitively annoying when you see/hear it. One of the cases would be in HS where the opponent just keeps playing Pen Flinger. In Runeterra the only card that would be equivalent would be Go Hard but like DoubleSummon said it just triggers once so it's honestly not so bad. If you prefer having no animations in a card game then that's completely your taste and I have no problems with that but for me, the animations are part of the reason why Runeterra is fun. A digital card game without animations or something along those lines is just pretty bland. The emotes are amazing for this reason, they honestly don't feel like BM or troll often because not all of them feel overly annoying like the Nocturne emote for example.

    However, I have to disagree with how you said HS and Yu-gi-oh are more intricate than LoR. Magic the Gathering? Ok, maybe I'd understand that at least, that game has a ton of cards and mechanics and very many ways to play. I've never played Yu-gi-oh but I heard that it's in an unfun state right now where games end within a couple of turns but I'm not sure, minuano28 definitely said it better. Hearthstone on the other hand is definitely not intricate as you say it is. You say that in LoR it's just "Play card and get OP effect" but you've essentially described Hearthstone instead of LoR. LoR is a game about interactions between the cards. It's a game more than about play cards and more about when and how do I play the card in this matchup. For example, sometimes if you are playing against a Feel The Rush deck, and you're running Deny, you'd try your best leaving 4 Mana up at all times instead so your opponent will be disincentivized to play Feel The Rush. This is why uninteractive combo decks that would work in HS would never work in a game like LoR.

    Talking about decks, HS is honestly a really bad game in terms of deck diversity at least. HS has way more cards in Standard than LoR does but there are way more ways to build decks in LoR than we do in HS. That's probably more about why the two regions and 40 card system allows you more deckbuilding opportunities but I would say that's not the only reason. I think that there are more build-around cards in LoR than there are in HS. One such case would be the Go Hard decks. This card singlehandedly created many decks and many ways to play that deck. TF Go Hard for one is a tempo version of the deck where they rely a bit more on having control on the board and drawing through the deck, but there are other ways where you can play Karma Go Hard and it's a full control deck where you rely on surviving using stun, recalls and heals. There are also other decks such as Ezreal Go Hard where it's more combo-based and relies way more on Ezreal than they do on Go Hard. Unlike HS where the card designs are limited, LoR has wilder cards that allow these cards to become more flexible and balanced.

    However, if you say that you did not enjoy LoR, I'd understand. Everyone has their own tastes after all. I've heard many complaints about the game and while some were unjust, there's no reason to try and persuade someone to replay the game.

    I'm guessing that since they revealed 2 new Landmarks for regions that have Landmarks already, all the other regions are going to have 2 Landmarks at the end (1 Epic and 1 Rare). This means that Landmark removal is going to be better and I'm guessing this is why they didn't bother buffing cards like Sunk Cost or Crumble.

    I think it's hard to say if it will replace Decimate in PnZ Nox burn. I think I can see it easier with both of them being run. This card is probably a lot worse in burn than Decimate since this card is basically just -1 damage and costs 1 more than Get Excited! I could see both being run in burn but I can't ever see Decimate being replaced.

    Also, I don't believe this is Viktor's Champ spell because they usually reveal it along with the Champion.

    Aftershock seems pretty good. It is really flexible since it can go face and can also be either landmark removal or just direct damage removal. Probably seems an easy fit for Ezreal decks.

    The more plausible way to triple Shifter Zerus is to play it before it starts shifting so you don't need to get three in a single turn. Other than that, I like that it won't triple immediately because I can imagine someone randomly getting a triple Deflect-o-Bot and it'd be worse.

    Just want to say that I've been testing out Deck of Chaos in a Malygos deck and it's strictly worse than the Quest version of it. It's incredibly inconsistent to the point that I've been thinking of running Silas Darkmoon + Soulbound Ashtongue combo just so I can make sure I hit one of the pieces. Most of the time I pull off the combo it's from Jepetto Joybuzz so yeah I'm not sure that Deck of Chaos is meant to be played in a combo deck.

    That would be a yikes for me if that's actually the case. Hopefully, it's just like dapperdog actually said and it's a bug and they will give players some dust refunds as they did before. Other than that, it's hard to prove that the pity timer is removed because having 40+ packs costs a lot of money and then you have to hit the pity timer? Good luck with that, that's about a 0.1% chance.

    I was playing some Weapon Rogue in Duels, and I took a bucket that had multiple Weapon synergy cards like Steeldancer and Cutting Class, but I didn't realize I also took an Arcanite Reaper as one of the options.

    Is it intentional? Did anyone else get different class cards for other classes with maybe Mage/Shaman?

    Same. I won a game of Battlegrounds with a 5% chance of lethal in the last round before achievements started exploding on the bottom left corner. I felt like the achievements were the true victory screen instead of the loud 'YAAAAAAY' in the end.

    I highly doubt that Blizzard would try to change the new system that they just released. The earliest time they would probably change the system is probably the next expansion after Darkmoon Faire, and I think that by itself is already an optimistic prediction. They took a while to implement the tavern pass system in the first place and if they are probably going to change it drastically, it's probably going to take a lot of effort and that's something they probably don't have anymore.

    That would make your opponent immune and do nothing to disrupt lethal unless they actually needed the mana from Coin.

    Screeching Dragon and Dragonguard Lieutenant was honestly carrying the archetype. Shyvana was a horrible card because she can't level up and dies without doing much as a 3/4, making her a 4/4 makes the archetype slightly better but I agree they could've been bolder with more changes. Though I think we're asking for too much already, especially with such a huge amount of Champion changes.
