We've got a weekend update with some new stuff and a bunch of bug fixes. Part of the update involves some backend stuff that is going to be used in a larger update that is incoming.
New Features
You can now rate news articles.
Dev Notes: I'm not sure how well this is going to go. I feel like people are going to downvote stuff because they don't like it even if it is quality content. If we find that to be the case, we may get rid of this since it looks awkward to have articles with low ratings and it may detract viewership. We'll see!
Article ratings are found at the top of articles, on the byline.
Magic Portal is now live.
There isn't much on it yet, but it is using some improved tech that will later be applied to HS, Runeterra, and other games.
Forums are now game aware.
Game portals will now only display forum threads from forums that are from that game.
Do note that non-game forums such as off-topic and site feedback and support also display here.
Due to the non-game forums display, you may occasionally see a feedback thread for a game that isn't the one that you're on the portal for. There isn't really a way around this unless we made feedback forums for each individual game - not happening.
If you encounter an issue like this in the future, can you please use the "Report Ad" button on the add which is triggering the popup on the page alongside any other information you have (like the link you provided). This can help us get a report upstream so it can be handled.
My assumption is another site in the ad network got to report it before us so it was cleaned up quickly!
We'll have an update going out sometime early this evening to get the forums "game aware". I worked on much of it early in the morning before heading to bed. Just need to make sure it isn't going to break anything and we can get it out.
And yes, it's great to see all the Runeterra interest! Currently we're getting more Runeterra traffic than Hearthstone :D

Runeterra card pages now display top decks.
Runeterra deck embeds now have voting options.
Member profiles now display Runeterra decks.
Added backend support for Runeterra achievements.
We're going to get these achievements out as soon as possible.
Hearthstone Adventure support
Dedicated pages for adventures! Each chapter and boss from an adventure can have a page.
Decks can be flagged as Adventure -> Boss Name
This is not all setup right now as we've been busy with Runeterra. Expect it real soon.

Removed second advertisement on the homepage sidebar.
Still aiming to get a couple of big features out before the month is over, though it may be first week of February instead - this has been a busy two weeks with every game we're covering dropping content.
It isn't that easy, unfortunately. They can definitely have a pretty good idea based on how many people they're planning on logging in right away based off previous data, but until the moment hits, they don't know how many people are really going to be on.
We've had similar issues with Out of Cards. I see how the site performs every day and where people are during higher periods of usage, but one time when people really spread out on the site, it caused us some issues that never even popped up on my radar.
But yeah, it is a good thing for them to have some temporary problems, as long as they don't become the only topic being talked about :D
From what I understand, the Beta season will last until beta is over, so it could potentially be a long one. Outside of that, they haven't confirmed an exact length yet.
We don't currently support flagging decks based on specific bosses from adventures. We'll roll out an update for this as soon as possible. For now, you can flag your deck as "Adventure" so it will at least be easier to find / share.
Our full adventure guide should be up later today as we've run into a few snags with the system.
We don't enforce a card limit on decks so its easy to share decks that break the deckbuilding norm. A good place this happens is in Tavern Brawls or Solo Content. I don't know why that person added that many cards to a deck, but I can tell you that when we do a deckbuilder update this year, we'll be letting people know when they are under or over 30 cards.
Is there meant to be an empty area top-right on the homepage?

It's been only 10 days since the patch and I already can't dust Ancharrr for a full cost refund. Anyone knows how come/why so?
I've heard some devices/platforms aren't seeing the correct info but it seems to work on PC.
It is amazing how Hearthstone QA seems to have gone out the window in the past 6 months. I love the speed that they're bringing stuff out, but really basic stuff is being missed

Shen's emote is a hold palm salute which originates from Chinese culture. It is a greeting / sign of respect so no, you're in the clear on that!
The Shen emote is the only one of the bunch I can't see being used for bad-mannered play.

That's why they're calling it Story now instead of Normal :D
Something cool to progress through and enjoy a story they've created. Heroic is the real deal (or at least should be?)
