I've been wondering: Does Vaults of Helia NOT kill your unit if there's nothing appropriate to draw? I assume that's what you mean by "kill the chain."
I do not care for this insanely unbalanced lab, so I don't feel like playing to find out for myself. =) <3
PSA: If you want all the cosmetic goodies in the Shyvana bundle but hate the idea of paying for cards, consider crafting all or most of the cards in the deck using wildcards and shards before you buy it for an even deeper discount. You can find the deck list on the bundle page in the shop.
The whole point of Egghead Researcher is to provide Demacia decks with more dragons. I'm baffled as to why people are trying to build non-Targon decks without it.
Given some of the other ... questionable ... choices Riot has been making lately, I wouldn't be surprised if this were the straw that breaks the camel's back for a lot of people. I think the risk of alienating loyal players is far greater than the prospect of gaining new ones who actually stick around.
Of course, retention of both groups becomes a lot more likely if Riot stops breaking the game with terrible design decisions.
This isn't the end of all aggro. It's just the end of aggro opponents when you are the one playing a healing archetype - exactly as it has been in every CCG ever.
This is the rock to aggro's scissors, nothing more.
I don't see a lot of great targets for Bayou Brunch. If you aren't getting big stats and/or powerful summon effects, you might as well just play a normal heal or health buff card. Maybe Wish?
I will be very surprised if the Region Roads don't all end up the same length after December's release. All regions will have the same number of Champions at that point, so it would be hard to justify leaving one road shorter than the rest.
And I would think the last leg of the Targon journey would feature the last Targon Champion to be released, i.e., Zoe.
This problem would all go away if they let us apply alternative art to card faces. Give us a fantasy version of K/DA, and the haters won't have anything to complain about. I'm not a hater (in this case), but I'd definitely use that skin, as I find the discontinuity in flavor to be jarring.
This works even better if I set the art to the version I like and my setting doesn't affect what my opponent sees. That way, we each get the art we prefer, no matter who plays the card.
Interesting thoughts. I'm not so sure about the "existing meta deck but with TK" approach, though. Seems like he'll benefit more from an entirely fresh look.
I normally take a dim view of decks that build themselves, but we're SO CLOSE to being able to do something other than the obvious Demacia-Targon pairing. Demacia just needs another dragon unit or two, and you could do some stuff that's actually interesting.
That's good to know. It makes it a lot less scary to use ... most of the time. Control's Helia deck seemed fun, for sure.

Are Strafing Strike and a few goat gems really enough healing for a Soraka deck?
At the very least, I suspect you'll need a third copy of Bastion to keep her alive.

I agree, but all we really have to do now is nothing.
They will get the message loud and clear if no one purchases the event pass.

That one banks pretty hard on the Star Spring win con. I don't know that Tahm Kench can carry you to victory if the healing plan goes south.

I could watch Tahm Kench puke up and obliterate Yasuo all day.

Why is the Monuments of Power expansion guide not in the banner menu? Or am I just bad at finding it?
A lot of people thought The Infinite Mindsplitter was too expensive to see play. It's not!

Well, people have been using Shunpo lately, so you can't say it's not worth the mana.
I love the versatility, and you can cheese out both effects if you have Rahvun, Daylight's Spear!
I've always dreamed of discouted Celestials, but I never expected my dream to come true!
I think maybe you can just rely on Single Combat until Shyvana gets off the ground. Dragon decks tend to be pretty mana-hungry.
But later in the game, this thing is amazing.
