I don't think this is great. What deck has a hand full of spells that is enough to make this cheap, while also having reliable minions to aim the buff at? I can see Spell Priest happening but I don't think this will be run in it.
The exact problem I have with this card. Don't see it happening either.
And what's the reward if you manage to pull this off? Plain stat buff which is quite far from exciting.
It's like cord dancing if Priests are going to pull this off. Balancing on a thin line. They have to generate enough spells and keep them in hand instead of playing them. The generating part is not the problem, but keeping them in hand long enough for Void Flayer to make sense is already more questionable.
And if you are keeping your spells and being passive in early game, the damage might not be enough to clear everything.
This seems like a card I want to like but...it just seems so conditional (you drawing & keeping spells, your opponent playing "right-size" minions etc).
Many of Paladin spells are Holy. If you're not interested in Libram spam strategy, it might tutor some other spells.
A fact that a lot of people seem to be ignoring in this thread. I doubt Paladins are ready to give up almost all other spells just to make the Libram draws more consistent.
Even some Wild lists run that, and I was wondering if this would be better. I remain unconvinced as spell-based/AoE removal seems more likely to be played against that deck than trading, and Netherwind is better refill in those cases.
The "not less than (1)" saves us from some Mage insanity, now they still need Mana to play stuff. Could easily turn out to be useful or too niche for most decks.
Can turn out to be unexpectedly good. Will depend on the meta how easily this can find those value trades that allow the effect to trigger. Should not be counted out immediately.
Why do we have the old croc still in the set if they print this card? They could have waited at least one expansion before powercreeping it
Indeed. Didn't they say that they want the Core set to be more impactful or something? I mean not every card has to be top tier or even playable, but if new-mechanic pack fillers are instantly strictly better than the Core card...
Eh. Corpse Widow didn't work, and this doesn't really look better to me.
I'd agree with this assessment. Although this one does have the advantage of lower mana cost and therefore earlier tempo, I don't see it making the cut even in DR decks, it's just not that good.
So there was one more Watch Post after all. This can get really annoying real fast, although there will also be decks that aren't that heavily impacted by it. Could see play since it's likely to bait out some removal from your opponent.

With all the cheap buffs and Dude synergies that Paladin has, this is the most likely Caravan to see play. But it's still quite weak.

Seems ok which most likely won't be enough as it stands. Can't see it being played just for the Battlecry, it needs the Pirate support around it.
I believe cards that Discover random cards can no longer Discover themselves.

The token should've been named Frosty Elemental instead of Frosted Elemental. For no particular reason.
You and me both. Mage got some good stuff this expansion.
Autoinclude in no minion Mages and worthy of consideration in all that run a significant amount of spells.
Correct.
I think it will turn out to be better than it might look on a quick glance. Anything that is meant to beat down aggro gets a thumbs-up from me.
Correct, the card data suggests that both of these are part of Valeera's Book of Heroes.

Unlikely to see play outside some combo shenanigans, not the strongest effect and poor statline.
I was not sure if it'd be good enough for Murloc Shaman since they already have some solid 2-drop options but the general opinion seems to be yes.

Solid early game option for Druids and Shamans. I wouldn't be surprised to face this on ladder to some extent.
