The wording from Blizz isn't the easiest but I believe those that don't buy the pass will lose the advanced stats and 3-4 hero selection and other stuff once the expansion drops.
I'm not surprised that they're trying to monetize Battlegrounds as it's very popular but the price of the pass is surprisingly high.
I think the question is mostly on Demon Hunters right? They'll be getting Basic cards, "Initiate" cards and the new expansion cards. We still have some of the Initiate ones here (as the initial leak turned out to have only those) but we'll get it fixed shortly.
After these about two months of playing I'm getting close (if not already there, haven't counted) of being able to craft all the Champions (=legendaries) I'm still missing. And I haven't been grinding for hours each day. So yes, getting a collection won't be an issue.
The main draw for me is the increased complexity of gameplay, the "turns within turns" where timing of attacks and ordering your counterplays is essential. Also passing initial turns don't feel as bad as you're just gaining spell mana for a (potential) comeback.
I can share more of my opinions later, but I feel like I might be needed elsewhere for some reveal madness soon(tm).
@linkblade: Both are good cards, but I think Forge Elemental is the more interesting and flavorful of the two.
Alright, I'll go with that one for now. I spruced it up a bit with some light editing; giving it a better name for starters:
I would've said the exact opposite than Hordaki :D I guess I'm too scarred and scared of aggro Mech decks, giving Windfury and attack buffs to a tribe that can be sticky and go wide fast could be problematic. Not to mention magnetic buffs. The "Blizzard balancing" of Wildfire Dragon was way more appealing to me. Honestly, since there's not much synergy between the tribes right now, you could easily add +2 Attack or Health or +1/+1 and it would still feel fair to me.
I haven't been super motivated to try out Katarina since I already learned in PvE matches that I don't know how to use her efficiently, but that Shark Chariot interaction definitely makes me want to try that deck out. If only my champion RNG would allow me to get Hecarim or two...
I very rarely pick Defender of Argus. I don't see the effect super useful outside of trying to get taunt to a poisonous/divine shield minion. But then again my Battlegrounds rating is horrible so what do I know.
I was always curious how to do the golden cards, so thanks!
The one I'm curious about is how to change the text of card tooltip? Example, make the text "Dr. 7" show the tooltip for Dr. Boom.
Use the regular card tooltip but add text="Insert your text here" inside the first bracket. So the first bracket would be card text="Dr. 7" in your case.
Expedition is definitely worth your time as you will get a guaranteed Champion alongside all the xp. Bad drafts feel less awful when you have a second trial for a better result.
My advice in random order:
As you may have noticed, your main card sources are the weekly chest and the region rewards. You want to hit (at least) lvl 10 vault every week for a free expedition token so don't forget to do your dailies.
Try to figure out the region which has the tools you need for the decks you want to try, and go change that as your region which gets your xp. If you have no preferences, grind them all to lvl 8 to get a champion capsule from each of them.
I would hold back crafting cards as you will get plenty of them from various sources; only do that if you reaaally want something for a specific deck.
Zed is a strong starter champion and Tryndamere a great finisher but I liked Garen the most (they are all starters right? I'm starting to lose count what the initial ones were...)
I'll try to pop by in this thread if I remember something else that I think could be helpful.
EDIT: Another important point: You want to get (at least) three PvP wins every day for that sweet bonus xp (+400, +200, and +100, respectively) because xp is everything!
We definitely got a great set of finalists and a lot of good cards that didn't make the cut as well. Won't mention my favourite as I would just jinx it.
Don't forget to vote everyone, it's looking like it's going to be a close one!
I don't usually do card change opinion posts but now I felt like commenting (i.e. mostly complaining about) some of them. Please bear in mind that my experience is mostly based on low rank PvP and expeditions so I might be a bit off the loop regarding actually good decks.
Yasuo requiring 5 stuns/recalls instead of 6: Maybe I've been unlucky so far but my opponents have generally had (too) little difficulties leveling up Yasuo so I personally didn't see this as necessary.
Jeweled Protector buffed to 4/4 from 3/3: I felt the stat/effect ratio was already fair so another one I can't understand. Not to mention that I see the card enabling the fun and interactive Elusive strategies (although probably not the most aggressive ones), which definitely didn't need further help.
Deny to cost 4: Very expected and appreciated change. It's still going to hurt every time you face it though.
Kinkou Lifeblade nerfed to 2/2: Interestingly the only direct Elusive nerf. Definitely the right target though, maybe now it can be killed more easily and Elusive decks will have to sacrifice units to block stuff instead of rolling on the back of Lifeblade's heals.
I also like Rhasa the Sunderer and Commander Ledros changes, especially if I understand the new rounding up rule correctly. Didn't have strong feelings about other card changes, so I guess they count as good for me.

I didn't even notice that before, that's brutal! :D I wonder if Blizz remembered that card either...
There's no need for that, we also saw that and grabbed them: https://outof.cards/hearthstone/943-ashes-of-outland-is-hearthstones-next-expansion-new-demon-hunter-class-priest-getting-overhaul-see-the-demon-hunter-cards
Radiant Guardian is definitely up there for me as well. I think I've had some aggro decks just concede when I've played her with the effect active.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing!

The refresh cost is definitely holding him back. It's such a crucial feature.

Seconded. I don't see anything too fast with animations but the unit drop speed definitely feels a tad much.

I'm afraid it doesn't fit the theme as the card should create copies of cards. Your idea seemed fun and flavorful though.
Welcome to Runeterra!

Yes, any should do. I think the only thing that matters is that the stream category is Hearthstone.
Demacia - Done
Freljord - 14
Everything else - 8
The card that actually made me play Warrior a bit. I'd imagine it will divide opinions but I'll miss him.

Time works differently when you're deep in the coding world like Flux. (Fixed.)
