Blood for the blood god... provided you didn't accidentally draw your other high-cost cards. Sure, it sounds fine to pay 9 health instead of mana for that Plague of Death, but that just means you're 9 health closer to being dead to Demon Hunter.
I'm actually hesitant on this card. Yes, it's strong, 6/6 with Rush isn't something to sneeze at, but even with everyone's best-case scenarios, this card is only coming out turns 4/3 with Coin or later. Definitely sees play in Soul Demon Hunter, possibly sees play in Aggro?
4/5
6/6 rush on turn 3/4is not that great card?
When getting it down that early demands that you have both copies of Twin Slice in hand, yeah on paper that seems good, like an early Edwin. But then there's also a good chance you're giving up a Blade Dance turn down the line.

Isn't ever going to see constructed play, maybe sees play in arena as a scuffed AoE removal, but even then that's literally your entire turn.
Which of course means that somewhere along the line, some spell (money is on Druid or Hunter) that summons a random 1-attack beast from your deck gets printed, and accidentally makes this card viable.
This 100%If I kept playing casually (do the daily, win 3 games besides), that is roughly 60-70 gold a day, so even if takes me a day and a half to level up at 50+, that is still more rewarding than the old system. Gonna be keeping an eye on that personal benchmark, but I am a little hopeful.
You're right, but the hotfix also affects cards that create random cards, not just discovery effects. We just remember a lot more of the discovering cards affected because it's easier to chain them together.
On the surface, Shifty Sophomore seems fine to play on Turn 4. Relatively high health and stealth makes it safe to activate on the next turn, using a 2 mana spell like Sap and get a SI:7 Agent ready to go. The problem with Sophomore and Whirlkick Master is that SI:7 or Eviscerate (and maybe an extra Edwin if you can manage to have the extra cards to fuel him) are really the only Combo cards worth getting, you're just as likely to generate garbage like Headcrack or Perdition's Blade.
Shifty Sophomore's best hope is if Stealth Rogue can step out of Galakrond's shadow, but alas I don't see that happening.
While everyone remembers Chameleos and Lady in White, the card I remember being overhyped was Countess Ashmore. It's The Curator, but it looks at keywords instead of tribes, so it's a lot easier to build around!...
The problem is, Countess Ashmore was too slow, both in the sense of drawing cards that you've probably already drawn because of how limited Rush and Lifesteal that were good in constructed, but also in the sense that it's a 6/6 body that can be easily ignored by aggro. Even when Zilliax was released shortly after, Ashmore was only seen in pre-built decklists.
I think this is scary just because of Galakrond and Heistbaron Togwaggle are still around. So much draw power, nevermind the potential for discounting the card outright! Given that this is Galakrond Rogue which means an endless source of Lackeys, it's possible you've grinded through all their boards, only for them to play the Prime version when you've run out of indirect removal.

Terrifying in arena, a shoo in for Big/N'zoth Druid.
NONE WILL SURVIVE!!!
Well met!

Fun card, but I don't think I'd want Random Legendaries for my Murloc decks. Wouldn't mind getting it off of Underlight Angling Rod though.
I feel like this is going to be in every Control Warlock deck, even corrupting it just once makes it pretty good.

Air Raid is still in standard too, though it doesn't quite curve into Merchant.
Big Deathrattle Hunter... I can see it work with Plagued Protodrake or even Khartut Defender as another payoff for Maxima.
I'm just stumped on what "A place to dress up cards however you like." is
That combo does limit your board to just the Venomizer Missile Launcher mech tho, while the Rabbit just deals with the enemy board.
"Look at the BONES!!!"

Amusingly, this is a buff to Jandice Barov, since she can't make a copy of herself.
Dang, nobody likes Blood Herald at all.
Which means that everyone will be blindsided by my Tiny Demon Token Demon Hunter deck when I play a 20/20 Blood Herald!!! Legend here I-

She's also a super-freeze effect for control decks to buy 2 extra turns for answers. I fully expect Maiev to be almost Zilliax levels of play rate.
