They would have no choice but to go face because of their hero power. It is a 2 mana do nothing unless you are playing an aggro deck. Besides, the only way a control deck for hunter would ever become meta is if it was encouraged by the base set and supported by expansions. It would have to be forced by the devs the way elemental shaman was, not naturally created by players.
I totally didn't even notice the mana destruction. Yeah, once you get it out you win. Unless a new card is printed I do not think it is possible to even get the sword out in standard.
Yeah, I agree, you would always swing it the turn you get it. The issue is there really isn't a way to consistently kill this off 7 times, or 8 (8+ if you if are fighting a priest).
edit: I replied to the wrong comment. Whoops. too lazy to delete and rewrite it though.
Fun meme. Could never be a decent win con because of weapon removal but I could see priest consistently getting this off in wild with all the small revive spells it has.
I really don't think this is as insane as it seems. How often are you overloaded more than 3? Other than bloom and bolt there are not a lot of cheap cards to combo this with. Unless this sees some more support, I can't see this being too great. It reminds me of when Brukhan was revealed and people went nuts because it had the potential to do big damage.
Am I the only one who dislikes that T5 released these so early into the meta and has not bothered to update them, despite the fact most of them have been nerfed and do not see any competitive play? How many of them could you realistically keep a positive wr with anyways? It just seems kind of dishonest that these are being described as meta when only the paladin, priest, and warrior decks are.
I only BM against those who BM against me, so I rarely ever get the chance to do so. However, nothing is more satisfying than beating a BMer as the basic priest hero and saying hello
I think removing legendaries might possibly have the opposite effect of what you think, as limiting the pool of discoverable cards will make discovering more consistent, which is what led to Jandice getting nerfed (It might even have the opposite effect if there are no good cards to discover). You also have to consider that a lot of rng effects are put into the game for newer or more casual players to be able to play with cards they wouldn't be able to play with otherwise (such as Tome of Intellect). Adding this rule just makes it so legendaries cannot be freely accessed by new or casual players.
@IksarHS Kind of conspiracy here. Did Dev team had financial issue in their mind when you designed Tickatus? Warlock is weak class right now but if control decks ever dominate Tickatus and Warlock will be huge gatekeeper it seems.
I am not going to lie, this is the worst conspiracy I have ever read.
That is a good point. Your opponent would have to harm you in order to play Molten Giant after the quest line is complete. Maybe it just means you run one less and put in a tech card?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this and immediately thought of stupid it would be in darkglare. Maybe this will be the tipping point for a nerf?
I agree with the devs. Interacting with the game for the quest rewards (as opposed to them triggering automatically) makes them more fun. It does make the quest lines much more weaker which seems like what you are caught up on. Something doesn't have to be super powerful to be fun in HS, which is one of the things I love about this game.
Without a dev clarifying there is no way to know. HS tries its best to be intuitive, so I would assume it gets shuffled randomly into your deck. It is also worth noting that Sphere of Sapience specifies that the card gets shuffled to the bottom of your deck so I would assume that any other mechanic that shuffles a card to the bottom of your deck would specify that it does that.
I feel as though this card is getting underestimated. As cheese said, not many classes can kill it t1. A paladin could play it on t1 then follow up with a Hand of Adal on t2. It reminds me of when paladin played knight of anointment on 1 and used the hand it drew with it on 2. The only issue is you would rather play knight of anointment on 1 instead of this on 1. I am for sure going to give this a shot early on.

I do not think this will be very good. It reminds me of Genzo but with at least two guaranteed draws.

No, not really because you would bounce the same minion multiple times as opposed to letting it die multiple times.

Can't believe you are getting downvoted for this. I also immediately thought of Reddit. I wonder how they got it?

There is also no need to call the devs stupid.

Private nightmare said it best, this is a control killer. In wild I imagine this takes the slot of a soulfire in a Darkglare deck.
Oh god, I've missed these a lot. Reading his responses and this comment section makes workdays so much more bearable.

Wow, the rag and runner up card backs are incredible. I like how they have been willing to bend the rules lately with card backs.
