If you want to restore the sun disc you have to play a mono Shurima deck and despite having some fantastic 1 drops, you can't build mono Shurima as an aggro. If want to build a aggro deck with Azir you have to use either Demacia or Shadow Isles.
So yeah he is good at many things but not in the same deck. This flexibility is the reason why I think that he has the best design of the expansion.
A 3 mana champion who dies to mystic shot isn't anywhere near busted.
Sivir is definitely better due to spell shield but since she only has 3 health, she dies to many challenger unit's and your opponent can't use her for blocking, something that you should definitely take advantage of.
As for Bloody Business, paying 4 mana to strike one unit is not cheap and there are so many ways to play around that card. Reducing the attack with cards like frostbite, quicksand or killing the enemy unit will both cause the spell to fizzle. Of course you can always use counter spell like deny and spell shield if you have access to those.
I found the +3 +1 for 1 mana when it auto starts with a landmark a bit much. Also I burned 5 silences over 4 turns and still found myself unable to kill Nasus he’s a 2/2 damnit he shouldn’t be that difficult to kill. Also I challenged and used a strike. Shurima had an answer for everything I threw and I felt I had a lot
And he isn't, his level 1 form is easy to kill, especially with Hush. And 5 silence cards is counterproductive. Three Hush is enough.
Thanks for the advice, hilariously that deck that have been giving me the most trouble with Lissandra is a Sivir/Leblanc aggro. The problem with that match up is your opening hand. if you don't draw avalanche in the beginning this deck just crush you, blighted ravine isn't a good option against them since you can only play it at mana four and by then they can play either Sivir or Reckless Trifarian. I think I am going to try either adding either Brittle Steel or Troll Chant.
Shurima is really strong, no doubt. It has the tools to compete. I think however that the new Shurima cards got intentionally released stronger to make shurima -which has only half the cards of any other region- playable. If they nerf the overtuned 1 drops later on and push back when the number of shurima cards gets more I am fine with that approach because unlike targon, shurima is not a toxic control region.
This is probably exactly right, and exactly why they were dumb to set up their new regions/expansions like this. Without a full set of cards up front, they're forced to overcompensate. (I also don't really get the whole "some regions get expansions first" thing, but oh well.)
Glad to see that I am not the only one thinking this, I really don't like this idea of dividing the expansion into three sets.
These new cards wow just wow. I know you gotta sell stuff but last time I read you guys were the most profitable gaming company out there and I didn’t even mind giving you my money to buy unnecessary cosmetics. This new region seems very overtuned like their cards are just straight up better than what has previously been released.
Anyone else getting this feeling? Adding another Deny just pushes expensive slow spells to another level of irrelevance. I don’t have a single one in any of my decks. I am tempted to remove all fast spells as well.
It's too early to evaluate how strong the region is, I remember when Targon was just released, we had many player saying that dragons and invokes were just too powerful or that Taric was a better Shen, then a couple of weeks later it turn out that the meta decks from before the expansion were still the best, and only deck from Targon who managed to be top tier was Trundle/A.Sol
Personally I have been using a Fiora/Shen deck on ladder and it's working just fine.
The emperor of Shurima does not disappoint, If I have one negative thing to say is that after seeing his effect the 5 mana landmark seems even more useless.
You still got to have enough mana to play the card that you picked, Three Sisters really shine late game were the mana cost is not an issue.
In early and even mid game a 4 mana Flash Freeze, a 5 mana Fury of the North or a 6 mana Entomb is kinda expensive.
I like the ideas of stasis and excavate keywords.
This one has me excited the most. I loved labs of legends.
Let's be honest, you play this deck for shark chariot, Azir and Hecarim are just the back up singers.
If you want to restore the sun disc you have to play a mono Shurima deck and despite having some fantastic 1 drops, you can't build mono Shurima as an aggro. If want to build a aggro deck with Azir you have to use either Demacia or Shadow Isles.

Probably the most confusing effect found in a card game since pot of greed from Yu-Gi-Oh.
My favorite champion from Shurima, his level 2 is strong already, but his level 3 is so much fun and one main reason to build a mono Shurima deck.

Hope that helps.
You mean beside being part of the much hated Noxus/P & Z face burn deck?

It let you draw your ascendant champions and turn level 2 ascendant into level 3 and that's it.
You can also use ritual of negation or remove the dreadway with cards like vengeance will of Ionia or concerted strike.

I ve also been also trying to build a Lissandra deck, any tips on how to make it better against aggro?
As a netdecker who just start getting into deck building, these articles have proven to be very helpful. Thanks.

So if I understand correctly this going to get rid of any skill, slow, and fast spell that was cast before it, very powerful indeed.
I can see this being run as one of. If you get hit by a board whip like the ruination this could by your plan B.
