I was specifically referring to newly released cards and their impact. For example gluttony is just one shadow isles card and it's revitalized anivia. Powder monkeys got a new card, kegs got a new card, dragons got a new card and they are all playables. I was just a little dissapointed we arent seeing anything similar from this region.
---------update------------
Just in the effort to be fair and balanced this is a scargrounds list mogwai put together
I'll see if it can be beefed up a bit and I'll get back to all of you
Burrble fish generates a random 1 cost spell from 2 regions you are playing
So 1 in 11 to hit go hard, and 0 percent chance to hit rummage when not in your colors
This is the difference between theory crafting and understanding how cards actually work
Don't get me wrong TF go hard is a solid A tier list on mobalitics and it doesn't have a good finisher so jamming elusives is basically the only thing it can do but I wouldn't be surprised if we see Fizz variants far outperform by doing the same thing 10 turns faster.
If anything TF go hard should be leaning into kegs and Thresh/gangplank there's huge room for hard removal lists to thrive right now
You see the things you would expect with Fiora Shen & Lee Zoe, scouts, pirate aggro but there's definitely an effort to include less represented options.
Putting discard aggro at the top is an inspired choice & shows that it's not just about the lists people complain about, its about what wins.
A tier is equally well representative with Ash midrange, TF go hard, Darius Sejuani, They who endure, Fearsome aggro, and warmothers ramp
The truth is that you can play any of these lists and have an equally good chance of winning, the only big miss here is Swain he's always viable.
Also you should usually see stun decks with Yassao in B tier because they can still get solid results if piloted well.
Lux also has solid control viability.
But that's it what do you guys think of the current meta? Leave your comments down below!
It's an alt wincon that was based around healing...it's very similar lol. But sure landmarks weren't inspired by mtg, and it's a totally bold never before seen concept, and we shouldn't draw comparisons because they aren't useful.
So Star Spring is basically this and that's okay, people liked this card. But you don't gain nexus life so it's worse, but it's cheaper so that's better, so in the end probably not a huge meta thing, but it should be a fun deck archetype.
I posted this when Targon first launched and now basically every follower and champion creates a card at this point.
Turns can be very long when you factor in that priority usually gets passed over and over again if playing optimally

Sorry deck buff, then you draw the cards in your hand which ultimately is much the same thing.
Anyway feel free to share new decks in this region because Trundle ramp and Ash midrange are old hat by now.
Meanwhile every other region is seeing major experimentation.
As the name suggests out of all the base regions that have continued to receive new cards
I have the least brewing excitement about Freljord
It's almost as if the developers are struggling to figure out their card release identity post Targon.
Here's some cards that should have gotten people excited but ultimately fell flat.
So this plays into ramp identity only problem that's what all the new cards for this region do and that deck is already established
It's a mind splitter that avalanches instead of stuns, like on the edge of playability but unexciting
There's a landmark that gives tough when units survive dmg and it's just not worth it like is it a vlad thing I don't know
We also got an 8 mana ramp card which is exactly when you don't need to ramp anymore...it's bad is what I'm saying
Instead they should be attempting to revitalize old archetypes stuff like hand buff
Freiljord allegiance, like give us a reason to want to run omen hawk again
Bit of a ramble but let me know what you guys think in the comments
Yeah personally I land on 2 viktors in an Ezreal Targon control list.
He just isn't a win condition by himself he supports other win cons.
In this case discounts means it's easier to burst down your opponent.
59 percent winrate 20 followers. 14 spells

59 percent winrate 28 followers. 6 spells

Dude every aggro list is follower heavy and you're forgetting that half of these creatures in my list generate spells
However I did end up teching in culling strike and swapping sharpened resolve for elixir of wrath.
-----------------------------------Final Update-----------------------
Absolutely destroyed stun control that is all spells and I should have been hard countered not a meta list but still
Oh for sure he's basically a better mountain scryer and your mileage will vary by the amount you like that card.
But even just going from unplayable trash set it on fire...to maybe I'll play this in a create a card deck is a huge improvement.
Update - Oh hey look mogwai agrees, he runs Viktor and mountain scryer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm6wI4OlGTk
Another big winner from the patch Viktor is easier to level then ever, and thanks to his inherent synergy with other create a card champions
Lets say this lady for instance cuz she's the new hotness
You now have a very strong game winning deck
But don't believe me watch Bruised By God
Arguably one of the best deck builders around show you how it's done
FYI you hard mul away Viktor, only ever play him leveled for his discount
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j128svRmguM&t=628s
Hush just got nerfed to 3 mana, and yes it will still see play but it isn't the game winning monster it used to be.
That's after it had lost it's re-playable ability.
What's slow speed I'm really confused you know all weapon parts other then blade of exile are burst right
Like you guys get that you play jae with 3 mana banked right
so as long as they don't snap remove him you can play 3 weapon parts draw 3 cards plus any axes you have
They'll likely have played all their removal dealing with your aggression
I also do champ highlights, patch overviews, and region rundowns.
Including a display of relevant lists that I've created
Given that these forums basically devoid of any actually discussion of play when I don't post.
I don't think you can complain, but by all means post your own content

I have a strong suspicion that Alanzq has been doing the heavy lifting lately.
Look at these picks on Swim's website, https://www.swimstrim.com/runeterra/decks-and-meta
Like burbble fish really? Without suit up like get the F out of here with that jank
For those that have been following my meta snapshots in the past I would often pull inspiration from Swimstrims website.
But recently his calls have been all over the place reflecting his transition into a more casual player space.
Alternatively, mobalytics has been doing a great job for once so let's take a look at their deck tier list.
https://lor.mobalytics.gg/meta-tier-list
You see the things you would expect with Fiora Shen & Lee Zoe, scouts, pirate aggro but there's definitely an effort to include less represented options.

It's been a long time Runeterra fans, so let's see what did I miss in 3 months.
People got really hyped about healing decks and forgot they existed
Lee Sin was op, go hard was op and now they aren't
After that a ton of new champs were released, one of which was good that being Zoe as a card advantage engine
But as is often the case in this game the patches are more interesting then the expansion its-self
Today we are talking about this bad boy/girl really who knows
Her ulty so to speak blade of exile now only cost 1 mana like the rest of her kit
That mean that you're far more likely to go off with her when she's leveled only needing 1 mana banked
I prefer an aggressive card advantage list for her, starting out like your standard discard swarm strategy
But then surprising the opponent with big elusives and the ability to draw an insane number of cards at burst speed
Feel free to share any of your lists in the comments
Just being a 1/6 for 3 is realllly good, just trade into things all day and heal.
Jam toad boy on 4 and aggro is just done for sure.
The only issue is nexus health, I hate that we still have to rely on starshaping, I don't love the card
It's an alt wincon that was based around healing...it's very similar lol. But sure landmarks weren't inspired by mtg, and it's a totally bold never before seen concept, and we shouldn't draw comparisons because they aren't useful.

So the numbers are in for mogwai's new Hiemer list, sitting at about a 51 percent winrate over 1000 games
This puts it below Lee Sin lists, but it might get further optimized down the road or people will get better at playing it.
https://lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/code/CIBQKAYJCMRVIVLAAUAQIEA3EY2DQAIDAQIQEAIBAQTQEAYJC4OACAIBAQYQ
That being said, the old list are still performing the best.
Bilgewater noxious - Swain/TF and pirate aggro
They who endure
Fearsome Aggro
Warmothers Ramp
Shen Fiora
Jinx/Draven
Sejuani Ash
Zed Lee - has broken 55 percent so it's here to stay
Putting the bulk cards for the update into this thread. Overall new landmarks are always good but nothing I'm too hyped for personally.
Keep in mind that I absolutely love these champs and I don't believe winrates are the be all and end all
But in this instance 42 percent is insanely low
You know when Katarina is winning more than you, you might need a tweak
https://lor.mobalytics.gg/stats/cards?rarity=CHAMPION&sortBy=INCLUSION_RATE&sortOrder=DESC
maybe it's time to bring karma down to 5 again so you can curve into her with lux for double laser
As it stands right now nerfing both her and Ezreal really doesn't give Karma a home anymore
Taric I'm surprised at, he does a lot of things that you want him to, and he shows up in a lot of lists.
I'm willing to just say that's people playing him wrong, but maybe he needs a small numbers tweak.
What do you guys think?
