  • Ok, hear me out:

    Resident Isles

Or would Silent Isles work better?

  • Gotta give it to Riot: they really know how to hype up the game.

  • So... Demon Hunter... How does this affect the class creation Competitions? Or are they getting fused into one, where you must design an expansion that also introduces a new class?

And not to be a nag, but any idea when the big competitions are coming back?

  • Which of those times is it when I write this comment?

  • Anyone else getting kinda tired of all those "Whenever this creature mutates" effects? Was expecting more diversity with the mechanic.

  • Just move it to Azeroth.

  • Highly doubt that was a factor in making this. This type of animation takes a long time to make, I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard gave them info on the cards since Uldum, if not earlier.

  • Man, work really kept me busy, huh? I've revised my initial idea, based on feedback:

I removed the demon tag so it's not abused by warlocks, and gave it Rush so it's more usable. It should be fairly easy to kill for your opponent once it trades, so I don't think the fairly high stat-line make it very broke. From there, enjoy your game of pong :p

I also came up with this little fella:

The idea is that you have a guy standing there, getting buffed until you can hit your opponent in the face for a craptonne of damage.I originally wanted to make it a Mech, but realised it'd be busted with Rocket Launcher, especially if you can give it Lifesteal.

@Inconspicuosaurus, I prefer the the Devilsaur. Great flavour and a fair effect for the stats. My only worry is that you can play this on turn 4 and just not play anything until it dies, but that restriction might make it balanced. Not sure. Might bump the cost to 5. (also, you're a raptor... you gotta go with the dino here)

  • Welp, there goes my Oddly Inspiring Demon Hunter. Might be able to find a replacement for the Demon, but Skull is a big hit.

Funny enough, the nerf to Eye Beam actually helps with the Baku bug.

  • There are currently 5 1-drop legendaries in the game. So what you're saying is that this is a deck with a 20% chance of hitting its win condition.

Sounds right up my alley! I'm in! (as soon as I get the dust)

  • ... What Prime?

  • Scout is... worrisome. Maybe they have a small number of units  so it won't be a problem, but I hope they add some way of summoning a unit to your opponent's side during battle to one of the regions, to counter it.

  • So, for some reason, every card game under the sun has decided to release an expansion in April, and Mythgard in no exception (in theory... might be delayed because of that global thingamajig). Now, Rhino hasn't made any announcements apart from their road map a while ago, so everything I'm about to spoil is both unofficial and SUPER early access, some not everything is final (especially the art). In any case, all you have to do to take a peek at the coming stuff is copy the content of the spoiler below and go into the game to Play->Puzzles->Import. You'll see the new card, a new Power and even a new keyword. Enjoy!

Almaniarra - Like the idea, but like Link said, there already is Murloc hate in classic. Also, isn't a Chef already a Cook?

KANSAS - Lord of the Flame seems ok, Crystal Imp is a little boring, Satyr Spelleater has too much of a drawback, maybe make it a 6/7 that destroys 2 crystals.

thepowrofcheese - I feel the effect is far too weak for the drawback. This needs to be a game ender, once you play it, you pretty much win the game. Needs a pretty big buff.

Fedrion - This card is bad. It's almost as bad as that new 1 mana 1/4. I see what you were going for, but no one would play this.

Xarkkal - Love the effect, but I'm not sure it's worth it to loose your hand for an 8/8 Taunt that summons a beatstick. With the amount of removal in the game, this card has a high chance to loose you the game. Could be great late game, though.

  • Mythgard. We haven't heard anything about the expansion yet (apart from a few leaks a couple months ago), but it's on the road map that it should come out this month.

  • This is the 4th card game that decided to drop an expansion this month. WTH?

  • Man, if I had a coin for every CCG I've seen that has five characters of different colours clearly referencing the Horsemen of the Apocalypse that DO NOT have an instant win effect when you control all of them, I'd have 2. I mean, it's not much, but it's weird that it happened twice.

I'll give Wizards this: their horsemen are more thematically consistent.

  • "Choose from three great options: Mage, Hunter or Try Again"

Good thing Paladin is a healing class, because, good LORD, that burn!

  • I'm gonna fight an uphill battle and try to make Inspire viable with Demon Hunter, maybe with a little help from Baku. And, of course, there's alsways Discolock, which might just work with Hand of Gul'dan.

  • Oddly Inspired Demon Hunter and Disquestlock (yes, that's a word) with the only discards being Expired Merchant, Silverware Golem, Fist of Jaraxxus, Hand of Gul'dan and Deathwing. Might call it Brunchlock.
