  • Thank you Blizzard for these gifts, and Out of Cards for running the Giveaway! I'm giving my code to my daughter, who is F2P and will absolutely LOVE this adventure!

  • Hard to choose a single favorite moment, but a recent one was my first game playing Wild Albatross Hunter against Odd Paladin. I drew the nuts and curved out perfectly, stuffing so many albatrosses into my opponent's deck he couldn't draw anything good. It's a silly meme deck, but gosh that was fun!

Thing I'm most looking forward to is Galakrond's Awakening, and the potential for other old-school adventures to come. I miss the old adventure model! Can't wait to play in 2 days!

  • Hunter can give it Rush with Shaw, or Charge with Tundra Rhino. You might not need the stealth to get an attack in. I see possibilities.

  • I'll laugh when pirate warrior gets this off Sky Raider.

  • Definitely too expensive. Many really strong overload cards are great because you can play them ahead of curve. This won't come out until turn 10 (unless drawn by Far Sight) and then sets you back on mana for the next turn. Sure, it's a huge pile of stats, but enough to make it worth spending your whole turn? I doubt it.

  • A very playable card in a variety of decks. I was confused at first to see that it had Reborn, since that was a SoU mechanic. But now they've revealed others with Reborn and Twinspell. Guess we'll see plagues and schemes too?

  • Glad I'm not the only one who misses the old adventure style. I wish we could go back to the adventure/expansion alternating they used to do. Game has gotten more expensive to keep up with. But they also give out a lot more free stuff.

Anyway, SO excited for this content!

  • I had the same thought. I would be very surprised if you could get it from generate-lackey cards, but it should count as one for the purposes of Weaponized Wasp, Heistbaron Togwaggle, etc. Can't wait to find out!

  • You'd be surprised. You need to draw those cards to make it work, and your opponent can heal your face for you. I've actually found fatigue to be a solid strategy. Hemet followed by as many draw mechanics as you can find. Or just going full Northshire...

  • I can't see myself playing this type of thing, even just for a quest. However, if you have a friend to play with, a neat "game mode" is to each craft a suicide deck and fight to see who can die first. You can run healing for your opponent to slow them down, as well as all the self-damage you can find. When you're sick of the ladder, try this out for fun!

  • Ok, so with Nozdormu on board, do attacks redirected by Mogor and Noggenfogger just take up the whole turn time? That's evil, man. I have all of these cards and I'm trying this out!!!

  • Worked like a charm, thanks!

  • Dude, that's sick. I'll try it!

  • Well every match is different I suppose (except he ALWAYS has Rakanishu on turn 2, wtf). Ultimately he just has way too much board presence through 4/4 lackeys, too much damage with C'Thun, and too much sustainability with Khartut Defenders and Obsidian Statues (and resurrecting those bastards over and over).

  • This is a great suggestion, but he also runs Shudderwock, which repeats the weapon removal.

Grinding this adventure in heroic is the last thing I want to do. I beat each chapter exactly once, and have no desire to go back for more treasures.

  • So I'm trying to clear this before the next adventure comes out, but Tekhan seems impossible. Anyone have tips for success?

  • Come on, everyone should play this deck! Imagine a meta where both players keep shuffling albatrosses! Oh god, it would be terrible.

  • Great fun, thanks for sharing. I'm glad you included the note at the end about this being a year old, cuz I was like "Cold Blood in Odd Rogue? WTF?" Cheers, mate!

  • I have a similar deck with Hunter. Abominable Bowman and all the cards that trigger deathrattles help a lot. I agree with Omar, lots of laughs. I beat an Odd Paladin because I curved perfectly into all the right stuff. he drew so many albatrosses he couldn't do anything!

Edit: By "similar" I mean similar strategy (shuffling Albatrosses), but almost entirely different cards.

  • I've had quite a bit of fun with Hack the System too, but it doesn't pair well with Galakrond. Once you upgrade to one new hero power, you don't really want to replace it.

    Good luck!
