Inb4 Sky Raider becoming a 1/1, Beaming Sidekick to give +1, and Warglaives of Azzinoth becoming (6)

I felt compelled to complete it even if the reward was uninteresting to me, so I guess I liked it.

I appreciate the effort with rhymes, as bard-like features are always good for tavern vibes.

Maybe the adventure could have churned some encounters into one, and definitely the transition between Outcast and Trainees should have been way more dramatic than "it rains, let's find shelter, and then start slapping each other for no reason and suddenly feel da powa"

I forgot to mention Lyra the Sunshard, the card would fit a unicorn Miracle Priest, but it's so expensive... Why isn't it a (3) 2/5 already?!

And with Lyra, Crystalline Oracle deserves a mention as well, as it is currently powercreeped by a Basic Card. Oracle could easily be a 2/1 and/or be focused on copying Spell cards only.

Demon Hunters are nimble and agile fighters who specialize in manipulating fel magic AGAINST the Burning Legion.

So I think DH should go for Aggro/Tempo or Combo/OTK.

Maybe Control could fit, but definitely NOT through Demons.

We already have Warlock who is about summoning Demons, especially Big Demons, for their own biddings. I know they already printed some cards that fit a Demon or Big Demon DH, but a Demon Hunter that focuses on summoning Demons is basically a Warlock, so I see no point in going for that direction. Actually, I think it is a bad direction, as it blends and overlaps an existing identity for another class, making both DH and Warlock feel less unique. So I hope they won't follow that trail anytime soon.

Ofc any explanation for any choice could be found (surely there are several Demons in the ranks of the Illidari), but for next xpack I vote for a Combo focus, either micro-Combo (eg. Wrathscale Naga and Feast of Souls) or OTK (eg. Inner Demon), or both.

Definitely no more stuff that can directly and continuously go face (Aggro), at least until they nerf further some of the current Aggro cards.

    That sounds good!

I'm still uncertain about a variety of cards in this list.

I'm currently using a Claw package in order to provide better reaction (that can be turned into face damage when needed).

I'll have a look, but I won't stay for long if it's the same matchup composition as the last GM few days ago...

    Them: Control Cubelock

    Me: Aladdin Paladin (Aggro Highlander)

I start 2nd against their Kobold Librarian, I manage to setup a couple of tokens + Never Surrender!: they don't play Defile. I keep building tokens and pinging face at each turn

Then at t-3 after their Sense Demons, I put in place Infectious Sporeling. They play Voidcaller nonetheless (probably because they had Skull ready), and get punished hard.

He plays Skull of the Man'ari, I play Acidic Swamp Ooze.

Then I can't remember their t-6 but it was irrelevant, I play Sunkeeper Tarim and win.

I had the perfect hand (yet I didn't even play Highlander cards, which is kinda sad in the face of my homebrew purposes), but so did they, and I won. D3 conquered.

Sometimes I actually feel like a good player.

Hopefully her story will give her a decent identity.

With the events of WoW Legion, I feel DH characters are exceedingly flat for supposedly tragic heroes...

We absolutely need more tournament-viable classes.

Narrowed spectrum of average viability is already crippling in ladder, and it's even worse as a spectator of a Tournament (where champions can't afford a hardmode with offmeta or memes).

Yeah, too bad this deck can't double the sporeling guy! Even without the Carpet, it forces awkwards moves by the opponent, like a mini-Sylvanas. I'm surprised it's not ravaging the mode.

As for the rest, I think you have too little a sample there. It took to me quite some time to get used to the deck. Not that it means the deck is a meta breaker, but I was able to defeat all the archetypes you mentioned in my climb to Diamond (so far I was able to defeat any kind of meta deck at least once). Ofc I also lost a lot, but not overwhelmingly so.

As for Divine Favor, the card was originally there, but I ended up ditching it because I could hardly benefit from it (no benefit against Aggro, not enough Tempo against Control). I was surprised as well of this, but my experience with it was pretty clear. You can try and replace the Ooze for it.

Too bad no new cards as in GA.

But the new content looks fun, and it's free, so it's all good!

Also, is that Aranna Starseeker the sister of Elise Starseeker?

I wonder if the patch will come with more balance changes for Constructed as well.

    Quote From Thonson

I often accept and let them rant because why not?  If they are so frustrated playing a game that they need to act like that perhaps it'll be good for them to vent some.

Around the Kobolds release I tried Big Priest in Wild to try and see the appeal and learn the deck.  In my first game playing the deck I lost and my opponent added me after beating.  I accepted out of curiosity as to why the add.  It was to insult me for playing Big Priest.  But it started very passive aggressive like "I'm curious, why do you and everyone else play such a brain dead deck?"  I told him it was my first game with it and I wanted to see how it plays (which was true) and he continued to insult me more.  Don't remember what was said exactly, but there was enough hate speech in it that I for the first time, and so far only time, I felt compelled to screenshot the conversation and report it to Blizzard.

No idea what came of it, but I remember thinking "How sad must this poor guy's life be to flame on someone after WINNING against them?!"  So while annoying, the encounter actually shaped my "accept and let them vent" policy.  I usually just respond to everything they say with "GG!"  If they say really hateful angry things I might add "Hit me up if you ever get the 80g quest."  Being nice to them and trying to actually be their friend for some reason just seems to make them more angry though...

My favorite is when you accept and get one quick angry message, and then before you can even type back "GG" they are no longer on your friend list.  Or this one time someone added me, and for some reason right after the add I got a notification that they opened a golden legendary and before they could say anything I was like "Gratz on the legendary!"  He got confused and it derailed his anger.

By letting them vent their frustration that way you are "teaching" them that such a behavior is a good one.

While it is neither acceptable, nor good for them, because such a form of negativity has a deep root, and bare venting is a fake solution: they think they feel better after venting, but they do not actually. The source of their frustration is still there.

I think going for more than 30 cards in HS is just too much, even worse if you enforce the Highlander.

The Commander thing is cool, but tricky, and banning some cards arbitrarily on the base of power sounds awkward for a permanent Constructed mode.

Also, playerbase dilution might be an issue both for existing modes and the new one.

Yeah, in my original concept she was there. It might even be I am bad at managing resources for so long as Midrange, so she might be good for you.

The deck is indeed surprisingly fun to play, it just needs some games to get attuned to it (and how to optimally setup playarounds against meta decks).

    Good luck!

I totally agree. More cheap cards added to the Libram archetype could easily fit this deck and archetype.

Sir Finley of the Sands would love to retrieve new Librams, maybe even a Legendary/Highlander book...

Yay my Aladdin Paladin made it there!

I reached D5 few days ago with it. Trying to see if I can actually push it to Legend now.

Not really, I stopped playing it after reaching Legend last month.

I assume it is still good enough this month, and I am not sure there is much more room for improvement here, besides ditching the Freeze package and Maiev for other cards.

The rest of the deck can hardly be improved until more cards are released, IMHO.

I think Paladin and Shaman need to be more competitive for variety purposes in tournaments (other than ladder).

And/or DH, Rogue, Warrior need to be slightly less competitive.

I mean, as a spectator, I'd like to see more cards in these games.
