Our very first example of Corruption. Honestly, I completely wrote this off as trash at first glance - and it probably still is - but it provides some much needed impact on a Y'Shaarj, the Defiler turn which gives me pause. Maybe? Probably not... but maybe.
Well, now that we've seen the whole set I'm excited to start messing about with this guy - definite day one craft. Build-around minions are always fun, and the wide disparity in the available options for each class makes deckbuilding a hugely interesting challenge - Druid, for example, has Fizzy Elemental that no other class does.
My dream would be to get this in Arena once and just ruin someone's day.
Imagine if this was to a minion on board, that'd be a nuts play for Aggro decks. As is the fact that you can't control where the buff goes kind of just kills the card.
Hey, has anybody mentioned Secret Plan yet? Seriously though, this is a great card since it can curve out nicely if needed and provides at least some amount of presence to do things with.
I want to like this card - it's a cool effect, and I'm a fan of 0-Attack minions because I always feel extra good winning with them. Unfortunately as others have said, I don't see much use for this - Zoo and Aggro decks would prefer minions that can attack (which this guy rarely will be able to, due to their tendency towards low-cost cards) and other decks just don't want it.
Very uninteresting at first glance, but you can't really ignore any Battlecry or Evolve shenanigans that might be possible in Shaman right now. Even then, I don't really like this card for that deck.
I still can't get over a Demon in Paladin. I mean, I get it, I understand the flavour and everything, but it's just so weird. Might've been less odd if he wasn't just randomly showing up at the Faire.

Thankfully, Y'Shaarj isn't too picky - we don't mind if you leave out the Corrupted version of the card, given how tricky it might be to find appropriate art

I mean I like it, and it certainly makes cards like Bumper Car look more palatable, but it's just a bit of a weird synergy. I don't know that you ever run enough Rush to want this.
Another card to throw together with Deck of Chaos and lose many, many games with. There may be a place for this in an ultra-grindy Control vs Control situation... but I doubt it.
I mean, there's hardly ever a time that this won't just be a better Spellbreaker - I can't imagine why you'd be copying a minion with a downside. Nothing flashy, but simply a good card.
The amount of times I've looked at this card and read 'Baker' instead of 'Barker' is silly. Really good card, and I love that it's summon instead of play.
Even if you only draw one card this card is good, and you will almost always draw more than that when you build your deck right. Solid Rogue card, and a neat idea.
On the surface this is the least exciting Old God, because why would you want to just be running a pile of Corrupted cards? The true strength of it is in trying to create some fancy combos with specific Corrupted cards.
Don't think there's gonna be much in the way of 1-Health stuff for this to target - thankfully, you have options like Ringmaster's Baton and Stage Dive to buff it up and make it actually usable. The tokens are a nice little bonus too.
I mean, if you're playing Pure Paladin you play this. I don't know if you should be playing Pure Paladin, but you obviously include a bigger Zilliax there, it's a no brainer.
Great as a combo card, fine enough as just some additional value generation. She has aggressive stats (though obviously bad for the cost) which is fine, that's really what you want in Demon Hunter anyway. I'll be running her in all my lists.
I mean, it's a 2 mana 2/3 with a nice easy buff condition. I don't think it's amazing, but it might see play in some lists running an aggressively low curve with plenty of Outcasts. Great pick up in Arena for sure.
It's a very pretty Arena card. I don't see it making waves in Constructed; the only place it has an outside shot of happening would be in something like an Elemental Shaman, maybe? But I don't think they even have the right tools for this there right now.

Love the reference, and by god am I going to try and make it work with Deck of Chaos, but realistically this is just too big and slow.
