A very useful card. Giving a minion rush which also summons another rush minion is incredibly good removal.

This is some pretty crazy design. Too bad Fungal Fortunes was nerfed from 2 mana, it would've been hilarious with this

I don't think it's very good, but this is another control killer card for sure. You basically get a free win against any non-proactive decks, much like Tickatus Warlock destroys those kinds of decks. Thankfully there's C'Thun, the Shattered as a possible win condition for other control decks.

This is just a very good card, that's a lot of usefulness packed for 1 mana. Another tool to helpfully make Control Warlock viable, or that new questline card which definitely needs healing. Not to mention that Wandmaker can generate multiple copies of this for you. Hard to see this not seeing any play.

Just hit Level 143, with only 5,300 gold. Not too happy with my progress, it's just tough to level up when your quest tray is empty. Looks like the most levels I can hit per week is 10, which means I'll top out at around level 170. I was hoping to hit at least level 200, but oh well.

Since it's Nozdormu Day, I put Nozdormu in my Deathrattel DH. I played 7 games with it and only faced one that had Noz as well. Come on, guys! Put the damn dragon in your decks, you cowards

    EDIT

Came back today, went on a stupid winning streak and hit my goal rank for the season. Didn't actually play any better (or worse), just got luckier with my draw, RNG, and matchups. What a ridiculous crapshoot this game is!

It's often like that for me too. One day you go on an insane winning streak with lucky draws and topdecks all around, the next day it's the complete opposite where your draws are crap and all your opponents just seem to have the nuts against you. It's like the game is trying its hardest to make sure your win rate hovers at 50% all the time -_-

I'm currently at level 129. I only started playing again three days ago after a two-week hiatus, so I gained 18 levels since then. These playing droughts are becoming more common for me though...I'm starting to feel like the day I'll be quitting Hearthstone will be coming to an end.

Even though I gained quite a lot of levels these past few days, it's been a miserable experience. I've been trying a bunch of off-meta decks like a Miracle C'Thun Rogue, Fire and Ice Mage, and a Deathrattle Hunter (the latter two I got from Kibler). While I like the decks, the meta is just so fast for them that I just keep dying to the multitudes of aggro and burn decks out there. So many losses. I ended up playing Doomhammer Elemental Shaman to make up for it; I went on a 10-game winning streak but hated myself all the while.

Just a shitty meta all around. Any meta being ruled by face decks is a dumb one.

While I love the design, this is incredibly difficult to pull off. As others have already mentioned, Warlock already has trouble staying alive, so unless the meta slows down significantly or this questline sees major support, I don't see this being viable since it will only win against reactive control decks. I'd love to play this, though.

I think this is the most solid card revealed from the new expansion yet. Great body for 3-mana, a useful effect, a beast tag, and could be cycled through your deck if you know your opponent doesn't have a weapon (which is a dream for tech cards). Very, very good card that you will definitely run over Ooze.

God, I hope this ends up being viable at some point. I'm so sick of the un-proactive Priest decks were seeing in meta after meta.

That restriction is really limiting though, considering that most of Priest's best spells are Holy. Hopefully the devs push this archetype in this expansion and introduce lots of good Shadow spells.

I might be in the minority here, but I'm not too hot on that Ragnaros skin. Not enough flame animations for me, and I really don't like portraits where the hero is looking off to the side.

I love the Inferno Uther one. He looks like a dwarf in that portrait.

I'm so tired of the the way this game just wanting me to always be at 50% win rate over all. Any win streak I get, it will be matched by a losing streak. If I win 8 in a row, you can bet I'll lose the next 6 or 7 because the game wants me to. It's super frustrating.

Matchmaking is effed up too. When I switched to a Priest deck after playing Shaman, guess what the first opponent I faced? You guessed it, a Control Warlock. This game makes me hurt myself so much

However, I checked again today and apparently I can claim another Tier 2 portrait? I thought it was supposed to be for every 200 levels that you gain? Including the past tavern pass, I've only attained like 200+ levels, not 400. Am I missing something? Anyway, I chose Deathmantle Valeera after much thought. I don't really like any of the other Tier 2 portraits, but next time I'm probably choosing the Jaina one. Hope the second one isn't a bug, Blizzard better not take away my new Valeera portrait!

This looks like a bug to me. I had to wait till lvl 400 to claim my second Tier 2 portrait. What is your total rewards track level count?

According to the achievement box, it's 204 total track levels. So yeah, it's most likely a bug. I was surprised when I saw another "Claim" box when I was just browsing through the Tier 2 portraits.

I hit level 100 yesterday! What a grind, now I can grind for gold more easily now.

I chose Cenarion Malfurion for the level 100 skin since I'm playing a lot of Druid anyway, and the skin grew on me as time passed. It was either that or the Felheart Gul'dan, but I'll get that one in the next tavern pass. Clowning on opponents with my Clown Druid while wearing that Cenarion skin feels good!

As for the Tier 2 portraits, I chose Ten Storm Thrall, since it's the best-looking skin there for me. I wanted to try some Enhancement Shaman as well, so might as well get a new portrait while playing it.

I love Mutanus the Devourer already. A turn later, my opponent burned his Lord Jaraxxus with Altar of Fire. No more win conditions for you lol

Looks like this murloc's gonna be a meta staple, particularly for control decks. So many archetypes are just dependent on single cards that eating them with Mutanus is game-changing. Cards like N'Zoth, God of the Deep, Inara Stormcrash, Lady Anacondra, Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, Tenwu of the Red Smoke...

I'm at level 97, and it's really a grind when your quest tray is empty. You need to complete your daily quest for 1000+ xp, then play a minimum of three hours to reach the next level. That's with me playing a grindy deck like Corrupt Priest whose games take so long, with 100+ xp attained per game.

I only need one more level to be able to get a Tier 2 hero skin. I'm really at a dilemma over which Tier 2 portrait to choose. I've narrowed down my choices to Valeera, Thrall, Jaina, or Malfurion, but my problem is I don't play these classes that much these days. Gaaah, I'll cross this bridge again when I get there tomorrow.

As for the Tier 1 hero portraits on level 100, I'm torn between Gul'dan, Malfurion, and Illidan. Might choose the former, but there's the problem again of not playing Warlock that much recently...decisions, decisions.

Against All Odds will be best friends with Wave of Apathy, but the problem is would you run Wave in Priest decks nowadays? As someone in this thread already pointed out, Priest has some really good control tools already (Hysteria, Soul Mirror, Condemn (Rank 1), even Devouring Plague) that will make people hesitate to include this combo in their deck. You can always just generate Wave of Apathy from Wandmaker, but that's not a reliable strategy.

Could still be useful even if it doesn't clear the whole board, though. Clearing at least three minions with this might make it good enough as a turn 5 clear.

Love this for Priest, the class doesn't have any good 1-drops right now, though you wouldn't necessarily play this on turn 1. It's Thrive in the Shadows with a conditional (but easy to meet) effect and a body attached, which is just better.

Cool design, but why would you play this in Hunter? Dropping this at 4 mana and doing nothing else just runs counter to Hunter's current aggressive strategies. Not sure if this will ever see play.

Very good card for Control Warrior, and a great resurrect target for Overlord Saurfang. The beast tag also makes it a nice target for N'Zoth, God of the Deep, and that frenzy effect ensures it'll gain you 8 armor whenever it trades (unless it's killed by hard removal). This is just the card that Saurfang needs to see play in the meta, and hopefully this pushes Control Warrior into viability. I'm excited to play this card in a grindy deck.
