Looks like what they are doing is taking away all dust people got to go back and redo everything from scratch.  I got 8000, and now appear to have lost 8000.  But again, not a huge deal.

I was actually thinking they’d just slap the “but not less than 1” stipulation on her, but I’m happier with this because it still makes things like the original Exodia Mage possible, but requires a little more work to set it up.

EDIT: This was supposed to be a response to someone else.  Not sure what happened here.

I usually like having a consistent portrait and card back for a deck, but randomized coins based on my favorite cosmetic coins is more than fine!  Even if I would only see it half the time.

I feel like I made a mistake spending that 8k dust right away…  But I have more than enough dust so I guess if they take some of it out of my total remaining I’ll be okay.

EDIT: Based on what some people are saying on this thread, those who got it twice actually saw the pop up twice.  I only saw it once so maybe I'm okay and won't have any dust taken away.  Unless I had extra because some cards shouldn't have been refunded.  But again, should be okay either way.

Tied to honor earned, maybe?  I got 8000 and reached the top rank, a friend who was much lower in the ranks got 3200.

Is it just me, or do all the Thief Rogues in Standard play like their brain is on a dial-up internet connection?  It's like they think they are so clever and need to rope ever turn, even their turn 1 do nothing turn, to let their opponents bask in their cleverness.  Even when they immediately trade their Cutlass and stay in disguise they sit there like "Do you think my opponent noticed?"  Yes, and I also noticed that you don;t know where the End Turn button is!

This isn't even really an angry rant toward the deck itself,  just the awful time wasting by so many fucking people!  It's even better when Questline Warriors rope every turn, but at least that deck isn't being spammed all over Standard ladder right now.

Which they got 45% so that's close!  I do think they mentioned Alliance players played more games on avg but Horde were showing more Honor per avg.  Seeing as the Horde card Drek'thar is likely the more competitive card I could see Horde players on average having a higher winrate and being competitive minded in their deck choices, but then Alliance players choosing the "fun card" would likely be people who play more.

All in all it still kind of balanced out to the average you calculated though.

Not surprising really.  Let's say an Alliance player and a Horde player each play 100 game, and each win the same number of games in that 100 game stretch, and both face 58% Alliance and 42% Horde opponents.  The Horde player has 58% of his games where he can earn the max 40 Honor, where the Alliance player can only earn 40 Honor in 42% of their games. So logically the Horde would average more honor per player if they had such a big gap in players choosing that faction.

I don’t think Apprentice is in Standard now.  So if anything it wouldn’t be banned, but nerfed.  Likely she’d get the “not less than 1” text added so she can’t reduce spells to be 0 mana.

If that happens… So long OG Exodia Mage deck as well.

Hell, even Diamond 4 Wild earlier today I was expecting a QL Pirate Warrior because of the portrait being used.  Got Odd Armor Bot instead.  Hurray for the free win…

I have a job, a wife, a 2 year old, a house to clean and maintain, I am the main cook in the house, and a home workout routine I (try to) stick to.  I occasionally miss a day or two, but try to at least finish dailies.  My wife works nights so a large part of my playing time is probably when it’s just me and my sleeping child at the house.

So yeah… I am on a lot I suppose but still taking care of everything else I need to.

I finished the honor quest on 12/24.  If only 9.9% worldwide completed the quest by the end of the battle, and I completed it about halfway through the battle… does that mean I play this game more than 95% of all other players around the world?!?!

That makes me feel a little sad about my life style choices…

I was just thinking that too!  While most of them aren't really THAT good, there are some decent to good cards that I would happily craft or even pay some gold to just own all of the Core specific cards that rotate out.  Would be a shame for some of these cards to just disappear forever!

But seeing as 204/235 cards are from collectible sets the other 31 might remain completely intact this time and we won't have to worry about it.

Core set cards going away unless you own the collectible form.  I know this wasn't how the actual exchange was worded in the Q&A but honestly, what if they don't have a collectible form?!

The new dragon aspects like Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, I expect those will stick around.  Enslaved Fel Lord could disappear and I don't think anyone would ever miss it.  Maybe the same for Felsoul Jailer.

But what if they got rid of Overlord Runthak?  I don't know how much he's played right now, but he's seen plenty of play.  Taelan Fordring is one that I like to play a lot in my Ping Mage lists.  Gan'arg Glaivesmith is another one that might not see a ton of play right now, but I have used a lot.  Actually I still have an Odd Demon Hunter list currently loaded in the game that runs this guy!

Out of all 235 Core Set cards, only 31 were brand new and not from an existing card set though.  So with that in mind I'd bet that the big changes will be to those cards that are also collectible and most or all of the 31 cards made for the Core set will remain in the set, at least for a while.  However if they ever rotate out some of those cards I hope they at least give us the option to craft or purchase those cards rather than just deleting them from the game!  Are most of those 31 cards bad and seeing little to no play?!  Yeah... but even the occasional Ritual of Doom can make for a good time!

One potential solution for things getting too wild in... Wild, would be to have another game mode that acts similarly to the Brawl Blocks with rotating card pool sets.  If any particular rotation they put into play has a deck or combo that is too strong they could actually just ban the problematic card(s) from that mode during that time.

I know one of the arguments has always been that another new mode like this would further divide the Wild player base and make queue times longer.  But I'm already seeing a lot of Wild streamers starting to play Standard on stream because they are annoyed with the state of Wild.  So what's the harm if Wild's player base is already starting to leave?

Not to mention I feel they are already at a point of critical mass in the number of cards making it nearly impossible to keep things balanced in Wild while still printing new cards meant for Standard.  So it's either 1) Let all cards be and just let Wild be wild with very few if any balance changes, 2) Nerf certain cards straight to hell to essentially delete them from the game once they hit Wild and banning them until they leave Standard (ex: The Demon Seed), or 3) Make balance changes sparingly similar to option 1, but also have a "Limited" mode where they can ban certain cards, rotate through old sets for different metas, etc.  The "Limited" format could even just go off the current Arena rotation list to make it a little easier.

There will always be strong decks, and people will play them.  These are not the only decks being played, and they are not unbeatable!

Freeze Shudderwock Shaman, APM Mage, Reno Warlock, Even Warlock, Even and Odd Paladins, Odd Demon Hunter, Big/Rez Priest, Sword of a Thousand Truths Priest, Overload Burn Shaman, Pillager Rogue, and others can all be played with some success.  I have been having fun with a home brew Tempo Ping Mage that can beat Pirate Warriors.  It struggles a little against Mages and Hunters.  Big Deathrattle Rogue is also pretty fun!

Bottom line is that if you are having a bad time in Wild, I’m sorry to hear that!  I do believe there are some needed balance changes for those two decks and some cards in Mage.  But to say Wild is unplayable?!  I’m sorry… That’s incorrect!

90% of the time I play a deck with Frizz I draw her after drawing the dragons I want to discount!

If she was printed today, I wonder if her effect would discount dragons in your deck AND hand?!

I haven't been keeping track as I was playing mostly on mobile yesterday but I started off the year playing my Tiny Toys Evolve Shaman in Wild and I'm pretty sure I won at least 2 of the first 3.  Maybe all three...  Can't remember.  I also played some Classic Face Hunter just because, won several games with that.  Then started playing a Standard hybrid DH deck with Fel spells and big demons to try and satisfy the "Deal 100 Fel Damage" quest.  Just threw the list together in two minutes without thinking too much about it, and won a 2 of the first three games with that too!

Again, not keeping track of what I'm playing against, but definitely not seeing the same old decks as before.  Wild is still riddled with QL Warrior and QL Hunter, but it's Wild so I unfortunately expect them to take their time making changes there.  Classic is of course Classic, nothing is going to change there, and then Standard seems fine to me if I'm being honest.

Are some of the decks that were strong before still strong?  Yes.  Are there still things that could be better?  Probably.  Did I start my Wild climb this month with an off meta Shaman deck, and my Standard climb this month with a hybrid of two different Tier 3 DH decks that is so unoptimized I should be losing left and right?!  Yes!  And again, I won most of the games I played so far at the bottom of both monthly ladders.

Once the team returns from holiday break, which I assume is tomorrow(?), then I'm sure they'll be looking at more potential card changes and evaluating nerfs and buffs to affect both Standard and Wild.  At least I hope they will look at Wild too...

Bloodsail Deckhand is Core Set, right?  So there is no refund or DE'ing that one.
