If they have different caps per mode, does that mean after I cap out in Standard I could play a game in Wild or BGs to still earn XP before the Standard cap resets?!
They had said during the big announcement day with the expansion reveal and everything, they made mention of the Tavern Pass changing to be this paid Rewards Track. But still, maybe because of the same thought, I believed BG perks would remain part of the Tavern Pass.
To my knowledge, the 10 gold for 3 wins is going away. Instead you just earn xp for every game played, win or lose, and it goes towards gold progression.
I skimmed a lot of the article so sorry if I missed it, but is there a list somewhere with ALL the new quests listed out?! Mostly I'm just curious as to if there will be a Challenge a Friend quest in the new system that has equivalent rewards to the current 80 gold quest.
First, Bomb spells cost 5 mana, and Corrupted Blood costs 1. And the way I read this, they become random spells that would normally cost 3 or more. But they maintain the cost of what you transformed. So one example, you could turn a Corrupted Blood into a 1 mana Pyroblast.
Maybe I'm reading your comment wrong but it seems like you thought those spells cost 8 and 4, and would transform into spells of equal cost. But again, not how I read it.
First thought, why is it Odd cost? Second thought, making it Even cost might have been more powerful as I believe Even Paladin is more control based, or used to be.
Either way, making Dudes stickier is usually a pretty strong tool for Paladins if your strategy is to flood the board, or to buff it.
Well it’s a Mage card that synergizes with secrets so the 3 mana secret into this is a likely curve. And the lower cost makes it more likely to get an early big tempo play from this than the Substitute
The thing I'm surprised about is that they are adding Pure Pally support now when the other Pure cards will rotate out before this. So unless there are more Pure cards planned this minion might be the only Pure card in standard for all next Hearthstone year.

Clear quests today. AND if you have time before the patch drops, clear the quest you get tomorrow morning.

I was thinking the Tavern Pass would include the BG perks. Not sure why I thought that, but obviously I was wrong!
I thought finishing achievements could rewards some xp for the rewards track, buuut... I’m probably wrong sbout that.

What a Buffoon!

Dean Ayala’s favorite Wild deck is Odd Paladin! I have no proof of this claim, but... c’mon!
I see! Read that wrong. Carry on. :)

Never mind, I misread.
Um... WHAT?!?!

I think I did too, but not day one. It was for a specific deck I wanted to try and I had the dust.
Is there a crafting regret forum?! Maybe there should be.
The real shame is that I crafted Tak on day 1 assuming he'd be good... *sigh*
This could bring Playmaker into the meta.
First thing I thought as I've been playing a lot more Wild lately, "Hello, Pogos!"
I know it'll be inconsistent, but still... very fun shenanigans indeed!

Feel like this is what Hidden Wisdom should have been...
