Been having success with Odd Hunter and minions that either have beneficial deathrattles, or battlecries to summon other minions. A few spells for burst.
REMINDER: In addition to the information above you will likely want to have an ACTIVE Arena run going when Hallow's End begins. Seeing as they are warning players about the arrival of the event in Arena, this means we'll see all active runs forced to end, and you'll get rewards AND a free Arena ticket. So sometime between now and then, start and Arena run, get to 2 losses and STOP!
The same should also be true for the end of the Seasonal event as well.
They are still chugging along on their Marvel licensed title. No idea what the project is; haven’t had any game updates in a while. But occasionally see announcements of staff they’ve added. So I assume either the Marvel game or some other title are still being worked on
A little weird how it couldn't still be in November... But I guess because it took them some time to decide what to do that they don't want to rush into a convention now that they've announced. So everyone has time to get their presentations together, as well as giving cosplay contestants time to prepare their entries.
Well congrats! I've made it a few times, although I have no idea why. My deck building is horrible and they all suck. I guess that's what happens when I try to play more for fun than for Legend. :)
I hadn't thought about the Doppelgangster tokens being different... but I guess they would be if they have different IDs because of their different artwork. But yeah, I'm guessing this also works with say Annoy-o-Tron and the Annoy-o-tron tokens off of Giggling Inventor. Or if as a Priest you Mind Control the Ragnaros token off of Jan'alai and also play your natural HoF version of Ragnaros, you could later technically resurrect two Rags off of a single Diamond Spellstone.
It's definitely a very strange interaction, but I don't really see it as something that is going to come up regularly, nor as something exploitable so I doubt it'd ever be changed. The mechanics of this game intrigue and confuse me at times! :)
I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but I was playing a Midrange Treant Druid just now against a type of Resurrect Priest in Wild and experienced a very strange interaction between Treants that had been summoned and died on their side of the board and their spellstone. They were using the Radiant Elemental and Veilweaver to generate a ton of value similar to a Lyra deck might try to do. Anyway, they had also played a few thief Priest cards to generate things like Soul of the Forest, and I also played Poison Seeds at one point.
Later, when the opponent played a 3 minion rez Diamond Spellstone I was expecting Radiant, Veilweaver, and a Treant as those are the only three minions that had died on my opponent's side. Instead he got a Veilweaver and 2x Treants!
I was like, "WTF?!" My Opponent was also like "WTF?!" and went bottom right to end the match instantly. But in the few moments I had prior to his concede I realized the two Treants have different watermarks! One was a Classic set Treant and the other was Naxxramas set Treant! So despite the same artwork and same name, the game counted them as different minions in regards to the spellstone's mechanic.
Again, is this specific interaction common knowledge? Does it sound like a potential bug? Not that I really care as it's just one additional way a Resurrection Priest's game plan can get screwed up, but I am generally interested to hear if others have had similar experiences, or just your thoughts on the interaction.
Thanks, BloodMefist! I think I came up with something a little more along the lines of the Cursed! card mechanic, but a little stronger and more in line with the flavor of the character I'm trying to convey of the Hexed Librarian at Scholomance.
Figured I'd try and get a little feedback before submitting this time, instead of just posting as soon as I get an idea.
I was thinking of doing a minion that added Cursed! to your opponent's hand if you had no neutral cards, but I decided to go with a slightly different but similar effect in giving enemy minions a deathrattle that damages the enemy hero.
For balance, I feel like 8 total stats for 4 mana is fair, and while Zealot might be a little understated since it is basically the weapon with a free body, Crusader is 7 mana 7/7, so about avg for the cost, but with a strong conditional effect of generating 5 cards. So I went similar with this one. 4 mana, for a total of 8 stats (3/5 body) and a decent conditional effect.
I wanted to do deathrattle on one minion and then when it dies give it to a neighbor, so the "curse" keeps spreading until their side of the board is clear or the minion with the deathrattle is silenced, but it's too much text so I went with giving two enemy minions the deathrattle a single time.
The effect isn't the strongest so the gem is just Rare, and I was thinking if it's not strong enough maybe I could make it give the deathrattle to three enemy minions and/or give this guy Taunt to encourage trading to trigger the deathrattles he gives. Could also just increase damage from the deathrattle to be 3 if needed. But Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
Built a Spell Druid similar to past builds, but was worried it was going to lack the big payoff damage like last time this brawl was out. I saw another Druid and assuming they’d be using the same tactic (the brawl had just opened up) I played a Fungal Fortunes and then passed. The other Druid WAS using a similar deck and as I suspected, he couldn’t do enough damage turn 1. So I watched as he basically gave me the game, and started my turn 2 with about 10-15 hp, a Swipe in hand, and an opponent at 2 hp.
EZ Game! Why worry about killing your opponent when they just kill themselves?!
Had to look back at an old story about the previous Mage Bundle, but I though the packs looked a little different. Only real difference is the color of the gem and middle ribbon going horizontally across the pack. I'm guessing they updated the look because it's a different Standard year? Or did they just not like the color of those elements from before?
According to Tempo Storm, Priest has been VERY good at higher legend ranks. Maybe the best class, according to them. One of their strong plays is, and will honestly continue to be, Cabal Acolyte into Wave of Apathy. This card combo against an enemy with a single, big minion on board basically guarantees you can steal anything, because the Spellburst happens after the enemy minion(s) is reduced to 1 attack.
While in theory this further randomizes a steal of a wider board, my personal experience is that my Priest opponents always manage to steal my one big minion and dodge the four-six smaller ones when they make this play. LOL

Well of course, but I can dream! :)
A Pandaria themed expansion would be great! And would be a great time to introduce something new... Like, I don't know... the Monk class?!?!

Came for my free run. Left because I’m not paying 1000 gold for this mode.

Rhys21 must be Roffle in disguise! Everyone knows Roffle is in fact the greatest dinomancer!

I don’t mind this brawl... until I get someone dropping something like a turn 1 Tyrantus. Then I’m out!
Not every HS player is guaranteed to have played WC or WoW, so BoH stories are just for providing lore of the initial heroes of each class.
I’m always down for a good Dragoncaller Alanna list!
I. Hate. This. Card! He’s so mean, and keeps calling me a loser! I’m not a loser... *cries quietly in the corner* Leave me alone!!!
