With all due respect, I think they could stop beating rogue down, It's been what, 5 to infinite hits last year? Cold blood, vanish, the draw pirate/weapon card, evil miscreant, and prep, which makes an uncountable nerf to all of the big spells and combo cards... Can't be happy seeing another fun class getting destroyed, forcing me to go and play more hunter :(
I think it was Kibler's "The Classic Set Problem" video a while back, but he addressed Rogue Basic/Classic cards specifically as an example of why he doesn't like the "evergreen" cards in Standard. Basically boiled down to how while Rogue has typically been a good, viable class in just about any meta it's not because they get cool expansion cards but rather their Basic/Classic cards are so strong.
So if that's the case, these changes are coming all at once but have likely been needed for a while to open up the design space Team 5 has for Rogue. I would hope that all these changes to Rogue's evergreen cards, as well as the move of Priest's Mind Blast to HoF will open up both classes to some fun, new cards allowing for fresh feeling archetypes within the classes.
I don't know about a tattoo, but I've considered some Hearthstone themed decoration. For instance, if I ever host a Fireside to establish my Fireside Tavern you get to create a logo for your tavern. A friend of mine does a lot of wood working, could probably turn that logo for my tavern into an actual wood sign to hang in the house. Either in the office room or down by a basement bar if we have one in the next house we move to.
This might be a dumb question, but do packs assign what cards you get in the pack when you receive the pack or the moment you open it? I mainly ask because I've got a quest right now to receive a Classic pack for watching a friend win. And there are several other quests to receive packs, plus this week's Brawl pack that we'll get starting tomorrow. And on top of all that, they just announced a bunch of new Classic cards!
So this all boils down to: Will I have a chance at getting some of those new cards if I wait to open them after they are added to the game? Or will I not have that chance as I received the packs prior to their inclusion?
I honestly didn't think much of it. After reading this post I looked at Rogue again and laughed a little when one of their weaknesses is "multi-minion buffs". No wonder Team 5 has nerfed the Rogue quest over and over again to try and kill it! They must not have known that was a desired weakness of the class when they printed that one!
The priest card is also for Rogue, as one of Rogue's weaknesses is healing. Now you can burgle this cheap spell that heals you for 5 and triggers combo effects by playing a card! LOL
A lot of Epics are trash. Biteweed, Forbidden Ancient, Glacial Mysteries (one of the very worst cards in the game), there's more. Just because it's an Epic doesn't make it good..
Thanks for reminding me Glacial Mysteries exists! I need to go through my collection and DE any copies I have! That's 100 dust per copy I'm just sitting on
Could definitely see this working in wild. Resurrect this together with Mal'Ganis and a few Doomguards for pretty good burst damage. Maybe.
Better in my opinion than Voidlord for a Cubelock deck. This way you get good taunts, attack buff(s), and no annoying 1/3 demons when you play Bloodreaver Gul'dan. Yes, you miss out on the ever expanding 1/3s when playing against an aggro deck, but whatever.
If you read their whole post they've taken 5 years to determine the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of each class. One weakness they want for Rogue is board clear, and Vanish is a board clear. Hence they decided to remove it. It's existence and persistence in Standard was also apparently limiting their design space for some other rogue cards they wanted to print. Or something..
Yeah, even a card to restore 5 health to a friendly character would have been better than this. Would have rather seen a Flash Heal reprint as the replacement really.
Open a Wild shop permanently that lets us choose whether to buy packs/adventures with gold or money, Blizzard. Is it really that hard to implement?
I could see it potentially bogging down the mobile client on the shop, but even if that's the case they could make it all available for gold or cash purchase on the pc client and keep Wild purchases off the mobile store. If a mobile only player finds logging with their pc to make that purchase too inconvenient, oh well! At least they’d have the option somewhere
Would be cool if you could get a random wild pack every 5-10 wins, though I'm not going to hold my breath :P
I personally would love to see a new game mode in a similar vein as how Arena is set up now. A "Limited Wild" constructed play mode. Maybe have a different ladder set up, have the season length and the packs available for deck building be the same as the Arena rotations to make it easy, maybe have special quests added in that earn you a few Wild packs used in the current Limited Wild card pool...
It's not that different from the current constructed format really, but it's still another way to play Hearthstone, and if the rewards are geared towards giving out Wild only packs it helps bring newer players into the Wild spectrum by giving them an easy way to earn more Wild cards. And if they do go for a very different ladder set up they could use this mode to test a new ladder system for the entire game if they wanted to.
Might have to give this one a try. Likely will try to make a similar build with the Immortal Prelate, Mechano-Egg, and Da Undatakah package. But I know the Immortal stuff doesn't work great against fast decks. Personally love this style of Paladin. Used to run a "Buff Copy" deck with [Hearthstone Card (Vala'nyr) Not Found], Saronite Chain Gang, Echoing Ooze, and Doppelgangster for the multiple copies of minions with the weapon deathrattle. It kind of died with the SCG change.
The weird thing is that it states the reason is "advertising" but also mentions "Our forums are not a place for you to advertise your own website."
I'm guessing you don't own OoC, Uilebol. And I also assume you have no real affiliation with them. So "advertising your own site" doesn't really apply as a reason here.
It also bothers me as I have seen so many threads in the past from people advertising their Twitch stream, etc, and some of those threads had a VERY long history of posts by the streamer promoting their own content on the forums. Where was their warning? Or the deletion of their posts? I know it's a different crew in charge now. So sre those threads being taken down and dealt with now as advertising? Or what about when people would make comments/suggestions to other users on the forums that HS Replay had the data they needed and to check there for deck lists, etc?
I guess it's only breaking the rules if you're mentioning a competing site that could be directly siphoning off their user base? HearthPwn really either should have stuck to their guns and let the site die or sold to Flux!

It may not read it as a Mech, since it's off the Chameleon. Worth submitting this to the Blizzard forums as a potential bug though.

That's a great call! Might actually be the best use for the card, a 4/4 copy from Muck into small spells to buff it. Seems good in theory
is this a 5 mana "Make Bolvar, Fireblood Playable in Wild" card?!?! LOL!!!

My guess is that with Mind Blast being sent to HoF, Priest is likely to get some good stuff next expansion.

It’s a pretty accurate representation of the Brightwing in Heroes of the Storm. Which is made more cartoonish to give the character more personality.
Why isn't this a permanent play mode with monthly rotating sets?!?!
