I kind of hope they aren't multi-class. I'd be fine with that for some other cards being split between the EVIL classes and the Hero classes.
Reno could be a Mage or Pally as everyone thinks he's a Bronze dragon in human form. In fact, a current Bronze dragon legendary for Paladin has a Reno-like effect (Nozari) so I could see him being Paladin more than Mage
Elise is very much the Druid hero as the hero skin you get with pre-ordering the mega bundle is a Druid skin of Elise Starseeker.
Brann would likely be the Hunter hero.
And Finley as a Mage hero, because Murloc Mage!!! And like you mentioned, his golden fish could be an enchanted type of item. Maybe he gives spell damage, or generates spells... or something interacting with spells.
My main question for the expansion is this: What is Elise going to shuffle into our decks this time?!?!
Has there been any news, or indication that we're getting a third annual Fire Festival?! It'd be really REALLY nice of Blizzard to do right about now... Please, Ragnaros! Be the Savior of our Wallets by helping us increase our gold coffers before Saviors of Uldum!!!
Seeing as Mind Blast features a guy getting his brains blown out by dark magic, why wasn't this given a new art as well?!?! Inconsistency!!! Which is always a cause for free shit. Packs please!!!
Or I'll take a third annual Fire Festival!!! Please, Blizzard?!?!?
They literally removed Succubus as a card and replace it with a random demon. LMAO
And Headcrack looks like hot garbage now. Come on, Blizzard
Felstalker is the same card as Succubus, but with "less offensive art" (?) At least until someone starts finding Felstalkers sexual! And the Felstalker pet for Warlocks in WoW is a pretty classic thing related to that class. Similar to Voidwalker.
With that in mind, I get why they changed it to Felstalker, but I'm still a little unsure of why it had to be changed so much instead of just updating the card art. Also, I'm confused by Mistress of Pain being changed to Queen of Pain. Is "mistress" a bad word in some parts of the world?
I had more but I was dumb and bought some packs recently. Sitting just under 3000, will likely get a $50 pre-purchase bundle, or perhaps an $80 bundle instead if one exists and has good extra value.
Exactly this. I always give my opponent the benefit of the doubt and always Greet them at the start of every game. If they start getting Emote Happy I'll squelch.
However, I have to admit to hitting the 'Wow' Button a lot when I'm about to beat a Big Priest. Because Big Priest players deserve it.
Not to defend Big Priest players specifically, but if you think anyone deserves to be BMed, then you deserve it back. There will always be stupid or oppressive decks in the game, be it big priest or something else, just cause ppl are playing those shouldnt make it ok to pick on them. And whoever thinks it is ok, is part of the problem honestly.
But people play BP because they know it is broken and they know that upsets the average Wild player.
No other reason can explain a deck being the most popular one at average ranks, without being neither top tier nor cheap.
And isn't this the very definition of BM? Doing something hoping to upset your opponent?
So I'm not sure who is part of the problem, especially if we consider that choosing BP technically comes before any emoting...
Surely, they are allowed to play BP according to the rules. But at that point, people are also allowed to BM, still according by the rules, because squelch exist. So game rules are not a point, if BM is considered a problem.
I occasionally play BP, but not because it's going to annoy or trigger my opponent. Some times when I'm having a shitty day of Hearthstone I just need some wins to brighten my day a little, and BP is the easiest way to get them!
I am an advocate for nerfing Barnes to summon a 1/1 token with the effect of a minion in your deck, just FYI. It actually improves the flavor of the card if he summons an Actor "playing the role" of a minion in the deck, while also muddying the rez pool in Big Priest. Realistically, you could now nerf Barnes, he still maintains the intended effect in most other scenarios, and if he falls out of BP lists those BP players now have Vargoth to fill that void and the deck is still crazy good! In fact, Vargoth may be a better 4 drop than Barnes in that deck.
EDIT: Also, your argument of why BP players deserve to be BM'ed could be applied to any top meta deck being played at a low rank. Many of those BP players could be like me: only playing Wild occasionally. Therefore, they'd be low rank and picking up an easy to play deck to just get some quick feel good wins!
I haven't noticed this in a while. Then again, I typically turn on Squelch as soon as I possibly can every single game.
As for BM'ing in general, I typically don't do any of that (roping, emote spamming, playing more cards than necessary) unless they do it first. Someone taking way too long to just pass on turn 1? So do I. This method is surprisingly effective on getting ropers to stop roping. In one instance where someone emote spammed me after forgetting to squelch, I ended up doing it back as well. The guy started spamming "Well Played" after his own turn 3, as if to say he was going to win because he had the favored match up and was curving out well. But right before I made the winning play several turns later I emote spammed him back. Tried to flame add me after, which normally I give them the satisfaction and the chance to blow off steam. But not in cases like this where my BM was in response to my opponent's BM. If they can't take it, don't dish it out.
I remember when that image first came out a lot of people were thinking Uldaman, or something similar to that. I think in the video revealing Rise of Shadows, Kozak had a line that said we'd go on a year long adventure that takes players to the great heights to great depths (or something like that). That added to some thoughts of an underground location.
Either way, it would appear that the LoE team will either be following the EVIL team to stop them from obtaining some ancient treasure (or weapon). OR perhaps they are searching out a weapon of their own to try and take back Dalaran.
My thoughts are that Rafaam and team may unleash some larger evil force or entity requiring a trip through the Caverns of Time in expansion 3 to undo something they do in expansion 2.
Ever since we learned the story of these three expansions would be connected and Rafaam was the ring leader in expansion 1, I had a strong feeling the LoE team would be part of expansion 2 this year. Re-imagining LoE might not be the best way to think of it, but I know a lot of people were predicting an Uldaman type expansion next.
So yeah, there could be some similarities. Maybe instead of Bartender Bob we ride a runaway mine cart down different paths to see what additions or alterations we can make to our solo player decks! lol
With all due respect, I think they could stop beating rogue down, It's been what, 5 to infinite hits last year? Cold blood, vanish, the draw pirate/weapon card, evil miscreant, and prep, which makes an uncountable nerf to all of the big spells and combo cards... Can't be happy seeing another fun class getting destroyed, forcing me to go and play more hunter :(
I think it was Kibler's "The Classic Set Problem" video a while back, but he addressed Rogue Basic/Classic cards specifically as an example of why he doesn't like the "evergreen" cards in Standard. Basically boiled down to how while Rogue has typically been a good, viable class in just about any meta it's not because they get cool expansion cards but rather their Basic/Classic cards are so strong.
So if that's the case, these changes are coming all at once but have likely been needed for a while to open up the design space Team 5 has for Rogue. I would hope that all these changes to Rogue's evergreen cards, as well as the move of Priest's Mind Blast to HoF will open up both classes to some fun, new cards allowing for fresh feeling archetypes within the classes.
I don't know about a tattoo, but I've considered some Hearthstone themed decoration. For instance, if I ever host a Fireside to establish my Fireside Tavern you get to create a logo for your tavern. A friend of mine does a lot of wood working, could probably turn that logo for my tavern into an actual wood sign to hang in the house. Either in the office room or down by a basement bar if we have one in the next house we move to.
This might be a dumb question, but do packs assign what cards you get in the pack when you receive the pack or the moment you open it? I mainly ask because I've got a quest right now to receive a Classic pack for watching a friend win. And there are several other quests to receive packs, plus this week's Brawl pack that we'll get starting tomorrow. And on top of all that, they just announced a bunch of new Classic cards!
So this all boils down to: Will I have a chance at getting some of those new cards if I wait to open them after they are added to the game? Or will I not have that chance as I received the packs prior to their inclusion?
I honestly didn't think much of it. After reading this post I looked at Rogue again and laughed a little when one of their weaknesses is "multi-minion buffs". No wonder Team 5 has nerfed the Rogue quest over and over again to try and kill it! They must not have known that was a desired weakness of the class when they printed that one!
They should have had Elise shuffle this into your deck, then playing it casts a random spell and puts Yogg in your hand.
I kind of hope they aren't multi-class. I'd be fine with that for some other cards being split between the EVIL classes and the Hero classes.

I'm guessing August 8th, so yeah... 6 weeks (or a month and a half)
It's likely going to be an early August release, which fits in line with most previous releases.
Ever since we learned the story of these three expansions would be connected and Rafaam was the ring leader in expansion 1, I had a strong feeling the LoE team would be part of expansion 2 this year. I could actually see them making the Explorers neutral but they each recruit a new team member who then fits into one of the four remaining classes.
Either way, I can't wait to see what Elise the third shuffles into our decks next!

It may not read it as a Mech, since it's off the Chameleon. Worth submitting this to the Blizzard forums as a potential bug though.
